    Absolute Legend and very clear tutorial, its good to know that the only thing i got wrong was the tool angle after trying to decipher my 50's lathe book.

    Another more accurate way to measure the angle is using a 10mm dial to the workpiece. Setting the collar reading to zero travel about 20mm to the left. Then use trigonometry to determine the exact angle. This is useful when you want to include minutes and seconds in your taper
