It simultaneously shows he reduces people to racist stereotypes, how he sees them as tools or objects for material gain, and it continues the running gag of naming people after those objects instead of remembering their actual names.
If the filter thingy works, I hope we can see future reactions to either Abridged series or even ongoing and completed animes. The more options, the merrier.

I remember years ago, when this episode came out I was really worried how they would deal with Asuna situation. I couldn't see how they could stay true to her (abridged) character given the circumstence. Turns out, there's a reason I'm not writer. Asuna even in the bird cage is just *chefs kiss*
