There are several Gospel drummers that I can get my fix from. There are several prog drummers that I can get my fix from. There are several Salsa, metal, straight-ahead, New Orleans, reggae, symphonic, marching and hand drummers that I can get my fix from. There are even other fusion guys out there -- Vinnie, Novak, Dennis, etc.
But no one makes sounds like Dave makes.

No-one sounds like Dennis, Vinnie or Gadd.. or Elvin or Tony or Jack or Billy.
I think Dave improved massively over the years. He's so much better today. I think same for Vinnie as a jazz musician. He brought a couple of albums out 5yrs back. Musicality on that world class level.

Weckl evolved from Steve Gadd!! Your comment is partly correct regarding these three sounding like themselves!!!! I hear the influences all in their playing!!
