Davin's attitude about project analysis and video comments is refreshing. There is nothing wrong with objective study of a way of doing things. No defensiveness on his part. Makes the viewers feel welcome. This is good stuff!! I really think Davin should just get his own TV show. It would definitely take off.

Wow, I never thought anyone at Hagerty would notice that post about the bearing. I often buy rubber, or metal sealed bearings, and pop off what's not needed. And now for my Rock Auto bearing tips of the day : In the part numbers a RS means rubber-shielded. A ZZ means metal dust shields. As tempting as it may be, always buy a quality bearing. There are many knock offs.. Remember friends don't let friends buy bad bearings!

Davin, regarding the neutral switch, why not pop the pins out of the plug and then route all the wires together in the original or replacement sleeve? The plug pins pop out very easily. Withn that braided sleeve, you can run a hot edge (soldering iron) over the loose strands too, which will stop it from coming apart.

In fact, the wiring looks way better with the braided wrap than with the original plastic-ish tubing. These tubes tends to become very stiff with age, keeps all the grime inside, also the heat, and tends to participate in the dreaded wiring harness rot some european manufacturers are renown for.
Wiring management tip also, ties your harness to avoid sharp angled wires. A kink in a wire is where insulating material will rupture, or even internal conductor may break with vibrations. Keeps your wiring as smooth and unconstrained as possible.

This is the best show Hagerty produces, hands down.
Tom's show is 2nd - but you'll learn more simply by watching Davin do his
thing than you will by watching most any other weekly installment show, here
    or elsewhere.
The man is damn good, which is why he's there - and you're not.

I'm curious as to whether the old Honda bikes use screws built to the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS)? I know from working on vintage audio that if you are dealing with JIS screws using a JIS screwdriver can greatly reduce the risk that you will strip a screw. The screwdrivers are available at a reasonable cost and can save you a lot of headaches.
