I traveled on this from Debrecen in the two-person sleeping car.🙂 It was very comfortable! I love the sound of the locomotive!🥰 Thanks for the great video!👌👏
@@doc7austin it is open all night long or at least it should be. it's just that the waiters prefer not to. They even have the nerve to tell the passengers they cannot order after a certain hour, so they can get some sleep. I've boarded the train many times in the middle of the night and I was happily served
@CalinFR no, the waiter told me - the dining car reopens at 6 am; so that implies to me that the dining car is closed until then; moreover, how can just 2 staff work for 16 hours ?
In aprox 1.5 years this journey will be faster/nicer, since this route is currently diverted because of electrification works on the main line. Cheers!
Are the old carriages powered by the locomotive, or do they each have their own generator attached to sheels and batteries? Would they be elecric heated in winter? stove in each carriage? steam? Also, I have to complain about the video: you didn't film the first locomotive change from electric to diesel 🙂 You had the sound perfect on the video. Hearing the good old fashioned tracks and no wind. Perfect ! Pretty amazing the contract between a TGV style of "aseptic" train with no openable windows and tracks that are totally different, and this train that has openable windows and the traditional sounds of a train.
Wow, doesn't get any closer to that real Russian railways night train experience! Didn't know that actual DDR-built passenger cars were still in use in the EU!
Lovely video,I’m going frequently on this route and it is absolutely gorgeous!
no better train in the EU than the Corona
@@doc7austinTrue.
Absolutely fantastic!! Felt like I was there with you. More of these please!! 😊
sure, part 3 will be released next week
Man ,that was fantastic! Its how the tourist train experience should be with openable windows and slowly rolling countryside on a single track line
i will ride the corona intercity train in the future again
This is just great! Congrats on the OG sound and insightful info about the route.
yes, there is no voiceover in my videos - that allows you to hear the original railway sounds

Great trip, one of my favorites. Deda - Brasov must be one of the most beautiful train journeys in Romania.
stay tuned for part 3 -> deda-brasov through the mures river valley

Very nice video.
Very nice video sir

Well, at least is one of the few last remaining night trains to feature a dining car open all night long
yes, a full service dining car is rare these days on european night trains; the dining car is not open all night long

the change from electric to diesel in debrecen is shown in part 1 of my videos
Can the railway company compensate you in any way?
ne, not needed from my side

Do some of the trains have AC?
the romanian cars usually feature AC, but it does not work so well during that heatwave.
Wow, doesn't get any closer to that real Russian railways night train experience! Didn't know that actual DDR-built passenger cars were still in use in the EU!
lots of DDR rolling stock is being used in the EU, esp. in Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary
Were the passenger side crews Hungarian to the end, or did they change at border?
conductors changed at the border; dining car staff (just 2 people) stayed on the train for the entire length budapest-brasov
No no, I did see some other passengers on the train this time 😀
really - where ?
Der Motor der Diesellok klingt exakt wie der der Class 66.
hahaha, ja fast
Corona of Coronavirus?
i catched the coronavirus aboard the corona.
@@doc7austin Ah ok! In that train recently?
@UHarshanBlackBoy1995 yes, 3 weeks ago.
@@doc7austin Oh ok! Be careful!
Beautiful video, thank you ❤. I am a bit surprised MÁV haven't changed the train's name following the coronavirus pandemic 🤔.
Corona means Brasov in Latin; no reason to change the brand name then
if your body is tired you will sleep in any conditions but as you like to film all stops its your fault for not getting a good sleep
i slept in my airconditioned room in the hotel afterwards
