    Nice. Would've loved to see her hit 9's, but it is what it is. Keep it a driver. Smoke down some unsuspecting Vette's and Stangs.....

      Yeah that’s kind of where I’m at right now. I want it to be a little faster but I really just want it to be done!

    Awe that's a real kick in the nuts! That thing was a ROCKET before it spun! Just another chance to make it better over the Winter ;)

    You had to drive it a few times there. The MPH is just wild, this car is definitely one of my favorite builds on TH-cam. The damn car just sounds so violent... Congrats on the new truck! Really sucks about the pinion buddy 😕

      It is what it is! All things considered it’s not so bad, it could’ve been much worse so I’m thankful it was only the pinion. But thanks man! I always appreciate it!

    Damit man, that thing is too strong for its own good, but it was damn sure on a mission before it broke. I felt like some carnage was coming when you said that you were going to break shit trying 😂🤣 that thing is too strong

    • @dugganracecraft
      @dugganracecraft  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Having such a long gear really doesn’t help the situation either but it do be pretty strong though lol

      @@dugganracecraft yeah it does put more of a strain on everything with the tall gears but when you got the powah💪😁 that's what you want to help tame the beast only thing is you gotta have some strong shit to hold up to all the powah that beast is putting down but that 8.8 is a good platform to have with gobs of aftermarket support

    Nice to see this car at my home track GLD. Maybe next year I'll catch uou out there. Good luck, these cars are not that common, and dont get enough respect.

    You should get someone at the track to help line you up, you're taking off outside the grooves.

    Hey, love your videos. Just subscribed today. I'm copying your motor build for my foxbody. Already have blower. Any problems running or tunning hellcat throttle body? Anywhere I can contact you for a few more questions on build parts? Thanks! Keep up the good work

      That's awesome man! It's going to be a rocket for sure! On the set up I'm on now with the JMS box and hellcat TB, I can comfortably say that this is the best option between the stock TB adapter, the Hellcat adapter harness and the Hellcat Tb with the JMS. It's a little bit more pricey but definitely worth the investment in my opinion. If you want to continue the discussion, feel free to send me and email at dugganracecraft@gmail.com!

    lf you can get a decent 60 ft you may not see 150 mph. I run a supercharged coyote in a 2880 lb car that 60 ft between 1.25 and 1.27 and my best et is 8.88 at 149.89. Ladder bar car. So what I am saying is suspension work is a must.

      Yeah I know that my 4 link brackets aren’t the same height side to side which is where most of my issues are coming from. The preload adjustment is a bandaid at best. I’m going to redo everything this winter hopefully!

    Usually byrons prep is pretty good, it is usually better than the grove. I agree with running slicks it will make life easier for you lol. I don't remeber what gen motor you have in this, but i am going to be selling my gen2 shortblock has arp studs. I am about an hour south of the grove. Just throwing it out there.

    My guy , breaking shit is simply progress and evolution. However , I still cannot get my head around why millenials are all over the 8,8 like they are. Yes , ive seen some good numbers out of cars with 8.8s in them but they are in no way as strong or stronger than a good 9" setup. I too blew the entire pinion support out of mine many years ago when I was using the station wagon cases and before I could afford anything better frankly . But good cases are a dime a dozen now and good AL cases more importantly so we can keep that weight down and see just how low ole Wiiiiley can go....The pinion head of an 8.8 is just out there flopping in the breeze , its unsupported . THis causes deflection when power is applied and the two gears try to push away from one another . The 9" has an inner pinion support so that this does not occur...Get yourself a good housing and case and a set of 35 spline and put that end of the car to bed. I use the baer rear disk kit that has no provisions for E brake and they are cheap honestly for the quality of what you get. You can get em at CJs and im sure many other places. I personally have worked on several 8.8 mustangs with the missing tooth phenominon over the years.. And if what im saying holds no wieght....OK , what did Ford do when they brought back the CJ cars ? Cars that already had the "Super 8.8" in them ?
    Here is the thing that is most overlooked and should be at the forefront of your mind when doing a rear.. You want the car to leave with good numbers and not break the rear . Thats what everyone bases their decisions on. Hey thats natural until you get old and have been around this for many years. But let me put a little something else in there that is vastly mroe important. You got your 8.8 in there , the car leaves good and hard and you go down the track with your hair on fire with a huge grin on your face . Car shifts second and the rear is hurt , car shifts 3rd and teeth come off the ring gear which then fly around and go back into the mesh and lock the rear tires..Now you and your new 8.8 are hurling through time and space at MACH Jazus and are completely out of control...Sure , maybe you can grab that chute fast enough to save the car and your own ass but probably not and then youre doing a Ricky Bobby over the guard rail and out into the grass with Mustang II and coyote parts being hurled into the air with every revolution of rollover... Ive got dibbs on that super charger if it survives... Im just gonna say that now..
    Dont hurt yourself my man...There is a huge safety aspect to consider with rears and its mostly just not thought about..

      @dugganracecraft  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You bring a lot of good points to the table and I can appreciate and respect them for sure. I definitely agree that the 9" is stronger than the 8.8, but that's not to say that the 8.8 isn't a good rear end. I see way more fast 8.8 cars at the track that I do 9" cars. I haven't fully made up my mind yet between the 9 and the 8.8 but either way, the cars getting a new rear end because this housing is beat lol I should've never used it knowing what I was going to be trying to do with this car.
