I don’t think I’m interested in working this hard to tip toe around an “avoidant” man’s issues and somehow hope to eventually get my own needs met, how exhausting… 😓

Correct - it’s a lot of exhausting game playing, and time wasting.
I shouldn’t have to fight for someone’s love and attention for me,why is there no simple men out there 😒
I gave my avoidant man some distance this weekend. On Thursday I told him I would be busy this weekend. I really was busy . On Sunday he sends me a voice note with Austin by Blake Shelton playing with a one sentence text "look your song". Which is a song about a woman who leaves her man and he still loves her .

I am also avoidant so being with him is like being with myself.
From my experience an avoidant is unhealed. Human nature is to be and give love at its highest. If you’re running from that, a person must examine those fears. nonetheless thanks for the advice! 🥰

Before he ended things the week before he said he was confused, didn't know what he wants. He said that he has turned his emotions off.
But now a month later. We still live together and he has no plans to move out..He looks at my Watsapp status, he asked me to let him know if I meet someone.
I have lost weight, posted more images of me, going out with friends..
Do you think he is scared, realised he's made a mistake, he us stubborn and will continue to do things even if it makes him unhappy.

It started off so great. From the first day, we just meshed so well and so instantly. For the first month, we were basically inseperable, we even went on a short vacation together (organised by him) within 2 hours of us returning from our trip he was on the phone asking me out. Now he's basically disappeared. I made all the mistakes of chasing/asking for reassurance/ calling a lot, but he would almost never reply. I got to a point where I said to him via a vn that I was thinking we reached the end of the road together. He apologised for what he's doing and said he didn't want to lose me and that he needed me in his life. After that, I allowed a few days to pass, but nothing changed, so I said if things didn't change then I'd leave that's when he kind of exploded and said that he's going through a lot of issues and to do whatever I wanted to do. I'm so afraid of not having him around anymore.
