I’m glad a new channel has come up to join the family. I too may start making videos of my own since I’ve been studying this stuff for over 25 years and I’ve been watching all the channels videos and worked with a few other channels who also did a bit of Lore of Arda videos alongside their regular livestreams and other content. Especially regarding ROP that we dare not speak of haha. All of you have been inspiring me for years. I’ve been writing many essays and articles and participating on other websites and in TH-cam comment sections for so long now that I really want to try out making these videos sorts of videos plus people keep telling me I have a great storytelling voice and how it eases their soul, relaxes them essentially. 😂❤
The Valaquenta states that Varda can hear all voices that call on her in need. When Sam is fighting Shelob he unconsciously recites the prayer to Elbereth and she causes the Phial to blaze more brightly, giving Sam a great weapon. It's as if the Trees themselves returned to fight the descendant of the creature that killed them.
The Phial was extremely difficult to make but Galadriel learned everything from all the Valar. All they could ever teach. She excelled greatly. And the light she weaved into it also came from the clear waters of that timeless realm. The light of the remaining Silmaril that Eärendil wears upon his brow while he patrols the firmament guarding the doors of night alongside Elwing(both of Elronds world saving parents)
Please look at the full scope of Nienna which there is more deep stuff than you could imagine. GirlNextGondor did a big long video regarding her. More than what the average channel will say about her. And Gandalf is who he is because of Nienna and she is the reason the third version of the world come to be. And she is the sister of Melkor and Manwë.
(Here is one of the things I made. I have more that I’m more proud of though. It connects to the topic of the video too)- The song you hear when the elves were spotted in the forest by Frodo and Sam is very important as regarding the elves history spanned over 40,000+ years. Because even one of the three high kings within Valinor was 30,000 years old well before the third age.(since time measured differently. The time before the sun & moons reckoning of time)Galadriel is his granddaughter just do you know. Yeah. She’s very important throughout the entire histories. They are passing away with what’s left of their kin to the undying lands. Many thousands had their home in middle earth just like the high kings ancestors that woke to the stars. Their birth is shrouded in mist as is their entire existence itself. That in itself is a whole story. You’d love to react to the immersive and entertaining lore videos like moviejoob and OmarioRPG have done. It’s ever vast and rewarding to let touch your soul.❤❤❤❤ •Á Elbereth Gilthoniel “o Elbereth who lit the stars” •silivren penna míriel “from glittering crystal slanting falls with light like jewels” •Ò menel aglar elenath “from heaven on high the glory of the starry host” •na-chaered palan-díriel “to lands remote I have looked afar” •ò galadhremmin ennorath “from tree-tangled middle-lands” •Fanuilos, le linnathon “and now to thee, Fanuilos, bright spirit clothed in ever-white, I will ... sing” •nef aear, sí nef aearon “here ... beyond the Sea, beyond the wide and sundering Sea” •Ã Elbereth Gilthoniel² “o Elbereth who lit the stars” •Ò menel palan-diriel “from heaven gazing far” •le nallon sí di’nguruthos “here overwhelmed in dread of Death I cry” a tiro nin, Fanuilos “o guard me, Elbereth” (The elvish name given to Varda is Elbereth Gilthoniel is one of the main Valar who are of the main group of entities known as the Ainur who sang the world into being and helped shaped it further from within after some entered into the young world. After that time she was called instead Elentári, the Queen of the Stars.
There is a possibility that 1 Valian year could be either 9.582 Solar years or 144 Solar years so if that is true then the creation of the world before the Two Trees lasted 3500 Valian years or 504,000 Solar years then The Years Of The Trees lasted 216,000 years, then you add the First, Second and Third Ages and you have a timeline of 727,052 years. it would take Varda 7200 years to make the stars. Círdan would be 71,852 years old at the end of the Third Age, Fëanor would be 47,232 years old when he died, Fingolfin would be 45,096 years old when he died, Lúthien Tinúviel would be 43,667 years old at the time of her first death and 43,703 years old at the time of her second death and finally Galadriel would be 26,924 years old at the end of the Third Age.
A deeper bit of Gandalf also is - Gandalf is the same species of being as the Balrogs/Sauron before twisted by Melkor[Morgoth]. They are all Maiar (primordial spirits). Gandalf named Olórin created by Eru’s Thought (extensions of Eru Îlluvatar himself whilst they had their own free will & individuality. He essentially got the chance to experience and study other parts of himself through this.) among the other Ainur before the Years of the Lamps roughly 9,000+ years before arriving in Middle-earth; In Valinor he was known as Olórin.(Remember though he formally existed before the world existed and his form becoming Gandalf hadn’t happened yet. He was sent to Middle-earth in human form around the year 1000 of the Third Age. So his many forms had different ages in length of existing. He’s very cool right! Could he get any cooler!? 😎❤️ Another thing is when he arrived in middle earth he was disguised as an elf & lived among them whilst they were unknowing & he became to be known as Mithrandir to the Quendi/Eldar❤️ He could have very well dwelled with the elves far earlier just do to his curiosity & simple desire to explore and be around the firstborn (TheElves) Gandalf The Grey/White Estimated at 15,000 years old (following his quote "300 lives of men, I have walked this earth"), It says that Gandalf was the wisest of the Maiar besides Melian herself. There were a lot of Maiar that were considered really great and powerful. However, there is a much longer answer. Like Sauron(former name is Mairon) & the other Istari (the order sent around the same time & of which he was appointed leader but he being who he is & a student of the Vala by the name Nienna & Lorien(Irmo). Gandalf was a Maiar, an angelic spirit created by Eru at the beginning of time and therefor one of the many Ainur who sang the world into being & Eru just helped their creation take shape and basically stated “behold YOUR creation” & basically what happens in that world goes sort of preordained as by that song eons ago so really only the ages after Dagor Dagorath will truly be an age that isn’t full of strife; sadness; and longing. Also. These lamps are what were before even the two trees. These were Giant mountains but also like light houses but housing a great power but it may have also been where two special Maia lived that helped in the creation in the sun and moon after Melkor With eldrich terror Ungoliant killed the trees, so yea “Arien” is the Maia who basically exists with the sun and her brother and or lover of sorts is the one who wanders with and guides the moon. Of which that other Maia was “Tillion” Galadriel herself not only witnessed this but as a student of Aulë and the other Valar she obviously had involvement in helping create the hallowed objects that housed the final flower of the silver tree Telperion that was the father of the moon and the mother of the sun was Laurëlin the golden tree and prior to the sun and moon they too used to wax and wane!
I kinda like the analogy of Irmo's place to be like Lorien/Lothlorien - dream-like, ethereal, surreal and his wife Este's place of healing which is like Rivendell in ME, a place of solitude and healing for those who want to seek refuge.
I usually don't take the time to respond to the "well, actually" crowd, but as a fellow Tolkien buff, I thought you might appreciate some clarity. 1) I'd already gone over that in a previous episode, and was moving on to the time period where "The Valar" generally referred to those still in good standing with Eru. Melkor was no longer part of that group. Yes, Melkor was the first of the Ainur, but again, after a certain point in the text, when Tolkien is referencing "The Valar" as a group, it usually excludes Melkor. 2) Editing down the podcast for TH-cam sometimes leaves those details out since the podcast wasn't designed with YT in mind. YT videos tend to stand on their own, and sometimes people haven't seen the previous episodes. But with the audio podcast format, most people go in order. Thanks for reminding me of this and that I need to be more careful with how I deliver the information. Best Wishes.

“The Light Of Eru was in her face” - About Varda. Elbereth Gilthoniel.
Thanks for your interesting philosophical take on the Silmarillion. I'm looking forward to future episodes.
Thanks, Anders. I appreciate the kind words.
@@LotRLorecast you're most welcome 🙂

Varda is a Quenya name of Valarin origin meaning "Sublime", "Exalted" or "Lofty"
Elbereth is name given to her by the elves meaning ‘Star Lady’
Gilthoniel essentially means Star Kindler
An original title of Varda, meaning 'the Kindler', and deriving from her making of the first faint stars in ancient times which was to light the dark world which had no sun yet and they loomed over the original Dark Lord (Fallen Valar named Morgoth by the elves) who he feared most above all even as supposedly he was the mightiest and first of all Ainur to ever exist (Ainur is the ultimate race of both Maiar and Valar)

Light is explained deeply in GirlNextGondors recent video bits in depth and also a little funny. “It’s all very splashy up in arda right now” haha

If I could be any vala, I'd choose either Manwe or Ulmo because they're my favorites, I could control the wind or the water it'd be so awesome.
“the Iluvatar” isn’t necessarily wrong, it’s akin to saying the All-Father
