new transit brake checks a woman driver without any reason to do so

  • slow moving traffic poolstock lane Wigan,
    behind me is a small fiesta ML15ZDW woman driver approx 55 yrs old
    Behind her is a Brand new Transit reg : MW17ZRK on red and white trade plates ( being delivered ) doing anything he can to pass ??
    It is not a emp;oyee from ENTERPRISE RENTALS,
    it is a delivery driver from BCA Technical Services.
    as soon as he overtakes the fiesta he pulls back infront of her and brake checks her then speeds away.
    unfortunately i forgot to save front footage (DOH) but the main issue is here to see,
    driving conditions were very wet and slippy so this could have ended very differently.

      Yep when i get tailgated like that i go slower and slower until i hit around 20 kmph below speed limit and ill stay there the entire time they tailgate soon as they back off i go back to normal speed limit. A saab tailgated me today so i sped off then i pretended like i was going for my turn but i sped up again and got infront he got emotional and sped up also, followed me for a good while and he tried to overtake me at the same time but i didnt let him. Keep in mind the traction control doesnt even work and it was raining and i was really giving it in. I have a mercedes E200 1996 as my second car but it really goes that saab couldnt keep up for sure. Then at the end he went in his turn spot and me in mine, showed him the peace sign and he showed it back lol he was probably so butthurt.

    • @DannyDashcam
      @DannyDashcam  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      rscosworthfan depends on how you look at it. Put it this way do you think a typical taxi driver driving a car or minibus is as qualified as a hgv articulated driver who in the eyes of the law is a professional and can use multiple types of truck 4 or 6 axles or multiple types of trailer flat bed, box curtain wider? Of which all could be refrigerated double decker or small twin axle urban or even skeleton trailers some have tail lifts or fork lifts on the back or even hiab. All we have to know how to use correctly and safely with various types of loads etc. Because of this I consider the drivers and coach drivers to be professionals. Not taxi drivers etc.

    What a jerk! And it was raining too so the poor lady probably was just trying to make sure she didnt lose control or anything. There is no reason for this guy being so close to her. its not like it would have gotten him there any faster. Its called traffic and sometimes you just have to deal with it.
    I hope that guy sees this and realises what an idiot he was. Or has learnt from his stupid behavior. I didn't see that poor lady do anything but drive to the conditions. Good on you for telling him off too.

    This happens loads where I live due to a new 20mph speed limit instead of 30mph. I had a van over take me over a speed bump outside a school (20mph) and then braked in front on me it's a 20mph limit I was doing 20mph. I think I might get a dash cam.

      sp royals Unfortunately it's not just at schools. When I had a pushbike, only doing about 10mph. Young boy on pavement decided to cross road just as I started to pass. Went right over him. With a car, what damage? He was ok btw. Since then I'm always aware of anyone, especially children. Just takes a moment of not thinking. It's usually 20 for a reason.

When people tailgate me these days because they are impatient (and I do the limit, not under it), I dont speed up just to please them. They usually back off eventually. This is why I have a cam in my own car, and on my motorbike. I'd have brake checked him getting up my chuff like that and then let him sort out with the insurance people as well as his boss not laying him off from his job. Too many idiots think driving is a right, not a privilege.

    Never understood this "brake check" mentality? If he was in such a hurry why waste time doing a break check? You got room now, just go. Just another driver (like many and some in this thread) with SPS.

    I brake check people on a regular basis but, never pull around them and do it! This jerk was tailgating the crap out of this woman, and if I were her I would have locked them up on him! If you go by the modo, he who sticks their nose up others ass, has no right to complain of shit on face!

    This is exactly why the rear window of my car is blocked off, and there's a camera on the rear of my motorbike.
    No shortage of morons out there.
    Disarm them by blocking their view of you in your car and make them accountable with a camera.

  • @stunninglad1

    Tailgating is totally unacceptable, highly dangerous and only an idiot or a psycho would do it.. Brake checking is even worse and should result in the revoking of one's licence.

    You did right - that pillock could have had a really bad accident driving so close behind someone in the rain if she had to stop he would not stop in time.and could have caused her to rear end him when he brake checked her because the road was slick

    Typical van driver, since the accident last year I bloody hate them. The van was tailgating me, and the car in front braked hard to avoid hitting the car infront of them. I stopped but the van hit me and wrote off my 206, I only had it 2 months which really annoyed me.

  • @rosewaller5094
    @rosewaller5094 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    she might have been going slower and creating more distance from the camera guy BECAUSE that guy was tailgating her. On my driving lessons I remember my instructor saying that if someone is up your ass you need to create more distance to the car in front so that if they stop, you have more time to stop without the douche going into the back of you. In my opinion the fiesta driver did nothing wrong and the van guy was just a typical van driver i see everyday.

    • @simonkevnorris

      It may not have got him sacked but they may have received a warning from the company. I honestly doubt someone in no authority pointing out they are driving like a muppet will have no effect on them.
