- I actually meant to make this video several months ago when he was fixed/buff (shocker, Scopely did something helpful in Star Trek Fleet Command!) but here we are in March 2021! So, let's talk about Vemet's shield strip ability, when it's useful (and who you can use to get it working) and how it can help give you another crew set when you have to crew 4, 5 or 6 ships at a time!

So, Vemet strips shield (i.e. can't regen). Spock regens shields? So would spock eventually be unable to work if he can only regen remaining unstripped shield, or does he restore that which has been stripped so it can regen on its own?

My vemet is maxed gonna try the pike vemet Georgru mostly run Georgru ash khan
What about a yuki captain, with georgiou and vemet as offficers for max strip?
why not just yuki+marcus? and you can use 3rd officer to increase your own mitigation/stats.
So...you're saying Pike's Officer ability boost bumps up Georgiou's chance at Burning which all but guarantees Vehmet to strip a shield by the amount of total Health of the ship for that round? Fascinating.....

You mentioned stripped (black) vs damaged (red) shields. During a battle can stripped shields be regenerated by Morale using Spock or Enterprise ability? If yes, what’s the difference between stripped vs damaged shields aside from the visual difference in the battle report?
Stripped shields can be regenerated, it's for this reason Yuki doesn't work well Vs a decent tiered enterprise as the regen overpowers her shield strip.

90k strip per round is nice, what amount of enemy shield health would you say it starts to be less useful? Yuki does 10% so anything above 900k? Wondering what is the limit of usefulness in PVE targets. I am looking for a 2nd PvE crew after PMC.
I would like to see Vemet go against a Spock and see the battle log... will Spock really be able to regen the lost shield??? If he can, then what is the point of having a black bar (Shield removed and rendered unavailable, like Yuki does) vs red bar (damaged shield that can be regenerated by Enterprise or Spock) on shield to show the difference?

Maybe your enemy using this guy is a reason to DO use Spock on your Enterprise XD! Hope to get feds and klin to 10M soon such that I can work on improving this guy. Does this also work with armadas?
Last separatists event, we got points for damage (shield and hull). So does shield health deducted count toward those damage points? If not, it doesn't help to reduce shields during those events.

Does Vemet and Yuki work together even on separate ships? Does Yuki go first and strip the shields or does Vemet and is it worth in a base defense to run Yuki on a trader with Marcus and Zhou for max synergy and a team of say Capt 5 of 10, Vemet, Georgiou to get full advantage of a health build since 5 of 10s ability is based on health.
Duece, in the battlelog how can you know if burning is activated and can you tell how much damage its doing?
Tbh the only pvp setups I see nowadays are max yukis with max marcus - and I doubt any vemet setup will beat that.

I was just thinking about that max burning crew with Pike but also considered Pike Georgiou and DJ Aoki
so does this mean that the enterprises ability or spocks ability to regenerate shields will be nullified? if it is not available then you shouldn't be able to regenerate it?
Vemet works only against ships? Not against armadas?

yes, put pike chen moreau on 500 k kumari and you kill a boss np

The difference between the two logs were not just Nero/Giorgiou, but the player who helped you out had maxed Vemet as well. That's a huge difference too.

Pike Moreau Gigi. Guarantees burning always active as a support ship in armadas.
How about if we put vemet and spock on bridge, how would that work
Nothing would happen.... Only one can work at a time, you need burning (Nero/Georgio) to activate Vemet and morale( TOS Kirk/ Kirk) to activate Spock, best you can do to strip sheild's and keep yours up is Yuki Kirk Spock (which is excellent for Yellow bosses)
Vemet also strips shields from armadas as well

Yeah, was looking to run it on my T4 Augur as my 3rd. I would have Yuki, Marcus, X on my Gladius and Morale on my Cent (Soon to be Enterprise).
My vemet didn't work with kirk spock. Tried many times nothing
You need a method to inflict burning to get vemet to activate.

I promoted Yuki, and as capt with Admiral Marcus and Kerla on my 1.23 mil Saladin, I was able to defeat 2.1mil boss interceptors.
Also works with Kang or Decius instead of Kerla

Why not use Vemet as captain on the example?
Nero as Capt gives gets a 40% synergy bonus to trigger burning. As a result burning would trigger more often than if Nero was a side card
Because Vemet's Captain ability is garbage, its his secondary ability that matters. And that ability works off total officer health, and Kumak's captain ability boosts officer health(and other stats) making it ~15% stronger.
@@deadbob2337 no his cap ability is to increase damage when the ship is Burning, the proc chance is the officer ability and cannot be enhanced with synergy
Vemet cap is for having your ship revive with limited health, it could be used to deal more damage after the shields are gone, but Kumak is better as a constant stat boost each round

I wonder it a group not so OP ships with that set up, take down an OP player in a Auger or perhaps a higher.
I have both Kumak and Vemet but I don't have Nero. Who could I use as a substitute?
Nero causes the Burning status effect, so you'll need someone like georgiou
Try Arix cap + Kumak + Vemet OR Mirek cap + Decius/D'Jaoki + Vemet . Not nearly as effective, but they work
@@justinmarriott4298 no that won't work. Arix activates mid round and Burns for that round, Vemet only activates if the ship is Burning at the BEGINNING of the round. No matter how much Arix burns, Vemet won't activate. same for Mirek
