DaVinci Resolve offers exceptional value for money. For a TH-camr, it meets nearly all editing needs, both visually and aurally. I am very much looking forward to seeing more DaVinci Resolve appearances in future videos!🤘
100% it’s incredible. Even the free version has so many features. It’s hard to be beat especially considering the full version is “only” $295 for a lifetime license
Wow, it's just magic, I've been watching your videos for over a year and recently thought about switching from PR to Davinci, but the workflow between PR and AE stopped me, today I sat down to look for a solution to this problem and here's your video, thank you so much! You and Boone are my favorite teachers, it's incredible that you give more than just lessons on specific effects, your advice (especially regarding the integrity of the effects in the video is very valuable to me)🏆🏆🏆
I used to be a premiere user as well but honestly the workflow between Ae and Davinci isn't bad at all. Also helps that davinci is free and runs so so smooth! Hopefully you enjoy working in Davinci!
I really love these videos when it becomes longer 👍 Thanks for your effort The title animations are great !!! ...... I will be really thankful if you made a tutorial about it
Resolve, finally! ❤️ I'm subscribed even though you do AE, because some mechanisms are easily transposable, but having dedicated DR tutorials on the level of your usual ones is a treat.
Hi Mapal, you create a complete motion graphics series in Davinci and caption template creation in Davinci, because there are very few Davinci Fusion tutorials on TH-cam, so you continue to make videos on Davinci. Like custom macros, presets and all the different things in Davinci, you teach us that because we are all shifting to Davinci because it has everything in one place.
Love your style Mapal! This is very helpful for those editors that really wanna dig into more motion design, keep up the good work! ps: would you ever be interested in sharing your speed curves that you have saved on Flow? It's pretty easy to export/import and I love what you have going over there!
Wow! Great contribution to the motion graphics community! Has a question how does Vox get that type of key frame animation which looks different… sort of smooth sometimes sort of hand drawn and organic… I’m not sure if u had covered this in this project?
Depends! If you’re doing composite work it’s definitely the way to go. For full on animated sequences where you need exact brand colours then it’s probably not the best!
@@mapal AWesome! Thx again. BTW, how come you are not using Premiere? too many crashes? I personally decided to change from Final Cut. No complains so far.
I’m no expert in colour grading but in my experience it’s been a lot easier and more intuitive. If you’re just using luts there won’t be a big difference but once you get into creating looks yourself it’ll definitely be a more fun experience in davinci
I’ve asked before: how about the titles you are using during the tutorials? there are a few that you don’t cover, intentionally (i guess), and i subscribed on patreon wishing that i will find them there
If you have a request for a specific title animation you’d like to see feel free to message me on Patreon. Then I’ll be able to upload the project file for you
The animations are all in Ae so that won’t be a problem. The main part of using davinci is exporting and importing and in that case the concepts should be the same
Probably never. There is no reason for me to switch considering my level of proficiency in Ae. Ae is by far more advanced and better suited for animations. I’m sure fusion is great for some things but overall you’re better off in After effects
Hmm, I don't see this working on a client project, unfortunately. This whole AE ACES setup gives you zero control over the output colour palette - say a client has particular hex codes in brand guidelines, how do you make sure to hit exactly the right colours when grading, if you exported the animation in an s-log or any flat equivalent? In the past I've only used this for compositing, say you need to remove a part of the flat image and create a new, clean version to be graded - in that case it's justified. But flat motion graphics? I can't think of a real world scenario when this would come in handy. Other than that - great content!
Oh definitely! The aces workflow definitely shines in compositing. For straight full screen motion graphics there’s really no reason to do it unless you want to grade it similarly I.e if you were to use it in a TH-cam video. As you said, it all depends on the use case/project!
Thank you! You might enjoy my previous video. It’s a blender tutorial but I have a section in the end about sound designing where I go through searching for sounds and add them!
Now I'm going to switch because of you i only use premiere for sound design and basic stuff i hate almost everything about it, free version of davinci will do fine right?
I used to use the free version but I upgraded because I needed the 10bit colour. While the auto caption feature is nice it’s not something I have a need for in my workflow

I'm becoming more and more interested in seeing what it's capabilities are. Might have to do a video trying it out eventually
Color Accurate without break out box? mhmm idk.

I used to use premiere but it just felt sluggish. Davinci was way smoother and more tools for colour grading, which is something I enjoy.
More videos on vox style animations.
hey Mapal, love your video, question:is your flow preset avaliable?
Yes! It’s available on my Patreon
Please bring more videos like vox style and also focus on on Ae only
Definitely more to come 😈
Thanks for sharing, which app do you use for displaying keyboard shortcuts?
I use Screen Studio which does all the recording, the zooms, and the shortcut display
