A month ago I placed a deposit for this special watch which I have been consistently looking and researching on. I've seen so much of it on social media and forums talking about how great and well made the watch is. Weeks later, I received the phone call and I went down to collect my watch. Honestly, my mind was blown! This was is incredible. As you guys know I own a Steinhart and I always love to share how well built the watch is with comparison to its price. The Aikon is closely similar, but this time, I have no complaints. The dials, the bezel, the crown, the case back, the water resistance, the bracelet, the clasp, the easy changeable bracelet, I really love this watch! I'm so glad that I am given the opportunity to purchase due to the fact that a major AD I would love to support has decided to stop selling them. Was lucky and hasty enough to purchase this piece, thanks to a buddy of mine. So far before this video was made, I constantly look at the bracelet and the dial. I never stop. I guess I'm really in love with this piece. There are also several colours and sizes to choose from so not to worry you will find one that suits you the most. Beauty and elegance. In love with its sharp geometric design. That has to be one of the best integrated bracelets I’ve seen.
Value for money is what i'm gonna say for this piece. Finishing, movement and yes the bracelet is quite a WOWer

Great unboxing video with superb video quality! I ordered a couple of days ago the ML Aikon Automatic Chronograph in blue colour and I freaking love it. Sadly, ML is a really underrated watch brand by many.

Congrats on your pick, I bought the same Aikon Auto Chrono blue dial a week ago. Contacted my AD yesterday and ordered the matching leather strap, so I can actually use the superb strap swap system. Enjoy your watch!

Stunning piece. I waiting for a good deal on a 39 mm. The depreciation with ML is the reason I dont buy them new. Although Ian a big fan of the brand
If you worry too much of depreciation i suggest you don't even buy the watch and stick to rollie, ap or pp. But if you're okay! Then i think ML is a good buy :)
I got the watch brand new from a real dealer for 1150€. First Rule on Maurice Lacroix Watches in my mind, is to never buy it for the whole price. For "just 1K" it is a super watch!

Im guessing this is the 42mm. Ive been considering to buy this Watch since a couple of month. Im not sure if my wrist is big enough for this watch.
What would you say is the minimum wrist size for this Watch?

For myself, my wrist is roughly about 6.25" so I would recommend anyone with wrist sizes roughly similar to myself.
at 7:12, you can see the whole watch wraps nicely on my wrist so any wrist from 6 to 7 should look and wear perfectly.

I don't know what size to get 39mm or 42mm i have 7.5" wrist I'm also thinking the black dial since the date window will match the dial.

so for me i'm wearing a 42mm with 6.5" wrist.. you surely can wear the 42 easily.
Go for the blue dial, just so cool.
Can someone tell me the longevity of this automatic mechanism? An average estimation? 20-25 years?

The high polished parts at the bezel are very easily scratched
Jo stig after owning it until now i didnt have any scratches on the bezel because i have not ding it with anything yet. Only some minor scratches on the bracelet

Assuming everyone has $ 20k loose change laying around, yes this is a cheap homage.

Well I actually bought myself an Aikon automatic chrono with the blue dial and steel bracelet yesterday. That $ 17.000 leftover change in my wallet feels pretty nice too. Certainly as I could easily afford the AP. Its like the AP is an overpriced homage to the Aikon. Furthermore the Aikon homages the Calypso, a ML line from the 90s.
Easily serviceable SW-200 movement and 200m water resistence made this a no brainier for me. AP will cost thousands to service and is 50m water resistant.
