Great unboxing video with superb video quality! I ordered a couple of days ago the ML Aikon Automatic Chronograph in blue colour and I freaking love it. Sadly, ML is a really underrated watch brand by many.
AntonLoub thanks buddy!! Congrats on your new watch! Wear it in good health.. yes indeed cause of it being a genta inspired watch.. but the movement imho wasn't super great but the price! I love it
Congrats on your pick, I bought the same Aikon Auto Chrono blue dial a week ago. Contacted my AD yesterday and ordered the matching leather strap, so I can actually use the superb strap swap system. Enjoy your watch!
If you worry too much of depreciation i suggest you don't even buy the watch and stick to rollie, ap or pp. But if you're okay! Then i think ML is a good buy :)
I got the watch brand new from a real dealer for 1150€. First Rule on Maurice Lacroix Watches in my mind, is to never buy it for the whole price. For "just 1K" it is a super watch!
Im in love with this ML 🥲 Great review TY, question : is it ok for you with only 38 hours on this watch please ? Do you know if there is another Aikon with 70 hours or more please ?
Awesome Unboxing great quality! Im guessing this is the 42mm. Ive been considering to buy this Watch since a couple of month. Im not sure if my wrist is big enough for this watch. What would you say is the minimum wrist size for this Watch?
Thank you Berg!! Appreciate you dropping by. Yes, this model is the 42mm Aikon Automatic. For myself, my wrist is roughly about 6.25" so I would recommend anyone with wrist sizes roughly similar to myself. at 7:12, you can see the whole watch wraps nicely on my wrist so any wrist from 6 to 7 should look and wear perfectly.
@@Fiapri Would also recommend you to head down to your local AD to try it on. Be more aware of how the lugs curved and I think you'll be fine! Thanks again.
Really thinking of buying this I can pick it up for 1360$ is that a good price for this I know nothing about watches what differentiates this from a 500$ watch?
I think it is!! To be honest you can compare this online from their specification spreadsheet. If you don't understand anything you can contact me at my instagram account
Mastermind Management was your purchase price around $140O including tax or without? Any info would be great . Considering grabbing one . Would you recommend the jeweler that you got it from ? Thanks John
@@WristDistractions I am currently in the market to buy my next watch I own two Tissot now I am in between this Aikon or Tudor royal .. but I’m just not sure
Jo stig after owning it until now i didnt have any scratches on the bezel because i have not ding it with anything yet. Only some minor scratches on the bracelet
Johnhae P you should buddy!! I love how this watch is so dressy yet sporty and i really do not need to worry about water getting it or what.. can fully enjoy the way in any day of night.
Well I actually bought myself an Aikon automatic chrono with the blue dial and steel bracelet yesterday. That $ 17.000 leftover change in my wallet feels pretty nice too. Certainly as I could easily afford the AP. Its like the AP is an overpriced homage to the Aikon. Furthermore the Aikon homages the Calypso, a ML line from the 90s.
Easily serviceable SW-200 movement and 200m water resistence made this a no brainier for me. AP will cost thousands to service and is 50m water resistant.
Beauty and elegance. In love with its sharp geometric design. That has to be one of the best integrated bracelets I’ve seen.
Value for money is what i'm gonna say for this piece. Finishing, movement and yes the bracelet is quite a WOWer
I am in between this watch in the TUDOR royal. Both are beautiful.
Buy Aikon!!!
i just got mine in blue 39mm...planning to get another one in champagne dial or the green
I think the champagne looks awesome since you had the blue haha. A cleaner look.
@@WristDistractions true..but a 39mm with Mother of Pearl dial is sold as women’s watch..🤷🏻♂️😀
It doesn't matter!! 36mm is a gentlemen's piece.
@@WristDistractions i love 36-38mm watches
Best fitted and comfortable

Rob Werts so glad you purchased this beauty! I'm sure you'll fall in love with it over and over again!! :) i'm still in honeymoon since forever
Stunning piece. I waiting for a good deal on a 39 mm. The depreciation with ML is the reason I dont buy them new. Although Ian a big fan of the brand

Im in love with this ML 🥲

Glad that you love this piece! Tbh… the 38 hour is ok haha.. i wear this piece for more formal occasions. Usually with my beater..
Hi, gorgeous watch man! Just checking as to which dealer in SG that you got this from? I checked with Sincere but they don’t have stock.
Their distributor is withdrawing!!
What is the lug width? And what doesn the bracelet taper down to at the clasp?
from about 25mm to 20mm under wrist.

I purchased mine around that price, so I’d say it’s a fair price.
Where did u purchase for that price?!
Feldmar Jewelers in LA, Cali

Can someone tell me the longevity of this automatic mechanism? An average estimation? 20-25 years?
I've never think for so long with regards to this.
Thank you, a regular service would be every 5-6 years ?
Agree with Ekim! If it's keeping good time just let it be.
This keeps popping up on my recommendation. A really good looking watch, and a really viable option for a first swiss automatic watch.
Indeed, if you compare the specs and price.. it's so value for money.
It even is my first automatic watch 😊
@@WristDistractions I am currently in the market to buy my next watch I own two Tissot now I am in between this Aikon or Tudor royal .. but I’m just not sure
I would go for the Aikon haha
Very cool! How much is your wrist circumference?
about 6.5inches.
Am now tempted to get one here in Singapore
Can consider for one!
I don't know what size to get 39mm or 42mm i have 7.5" wrist I'm also thinking the black dial since the date window will match the dial.
42
so for me i'm wearing a 42mm with 6.5" wrist.. you surely can wear the 42 easily.
Go for the blue dial, just so cool.
That is a great looking watch!
ML did it so well!
Does the bracelet come with half links?
It does!
Stunning but is this a scratch magnet?
Good question. I think it is if you go desk diving a lot. Or you simply don't baby it. I believe many watches are haha.
The high polished parts at the bezel are very easily scratched
Jo stig after owning it until now i didnt have any scratches on the bezel because i have not ding it with anything yet. Only some minor scratches on the bracelet
Hi. Does the 39mm version of this have lume?
Hello! Thanks for dropping by.. i believe the 39mm will be similar to this. So yes there would be lume imho
@@WristDistractions Awesome! I'm saving for this now.

Is black or blue? Sorry
This is blue
ブレス調整は片側で外したのですか。
かっこいい調整は時計の中央部分とブレス裏側と同じ位置。
I'm not sure what you're mentioning. I apologise.
what white sln mean on the hands?
what wrist size do you have
From their site it meant to have rodium plated markers.
6.25"
SLN refers to Super-LumiNova, the lume used for this piece. White refers to the C1 variant.
Thanks for assisting me on this haha. Surely i missed that.
For a minute there I thought this was chef John's channel ! 😄
who is that???
@@WristDistractions he's a chef called John wth a youtube channel called "food wishes" . He always starts his show with similar piano music.
Yes, a little copy of AP, but for me maybe the nicest watch I have ever seen.
indeed it has a hint of that. But yes beautiful watch.
I like it better than AP
It's a beast
Poor man's Ap royal oak!, 🤩😀.. love it!❤️
Really looks like one. But if you dig deeper it's actually a modernised ML
hi, 39 or 42 mm?
This is the 42mm!

looks alot like a cheap AP to me...
Anders Bjorbak do agree with you to a certain extent. Now the stainless steel models all look closely similar.
Assuming everyone has $ 20k loose change laying around, yes this is a cheap homage.
@@robwerts995 its not about that - its just not the original - same goes for hublot for me - and those are as expensive as AP
