@@mark9531Can't believe nothing Carolyn said cause that Witch is a liar. Also for the other ones involved could have been scared and we're agreeing just so no harm could come to them. There are other interviews where she did talk about her son needing whistle. Then if he did say something to her like you look like a movie star and that witch got offended. Then maybe her getting offended got Emmett scared which would cause him stress and he could have been trying to apologize but had to whistle first. @@ginadoll00901 Good morning gina. You said; "There are other interviews where she did talk about her son needing whistle." This is the only interview where Mamie Mobley mentions the whistle. Ruthie Mae Crawford, Roosevelt Crawford, John Crawford, Robert Wright, Simeon Wright, Wheeler Parker, Albert Johnson, Jr., Pete Parker, Carolyn Bryant, Maurice Wright,
@@apriledmonds4775- She lied about her testimony in court that Emmett grabbed her around her waist and made other advances toward her. That was her recent confession to the author.
Cuh he was buying bubble gum. He was whistling cause he couldnt get the words “bubble gum” out of his mouth. Whether you down south, north, east, or west. That still dont justify the killing of that man‼️
See im confused cause when the boys that was actually there tells a whole different story and he said it didnt last that long..God bless this women but i dont think he knew what really happen cause she was not there and yes i know this is Emmits mom but again she was not there. I believe the boys story that was standing there when it happen
e money What do you mean? The story she’s telling is what she was told by the people who were there. The people who were there told 3 different versions. The first was they asked him what he purchased from the store and he tried to say bubble gum but got stuck and whistled, the second was there was a checker game outside the store and he got excited at a move and whistle because he couldn’t get his words out, and the final one was it was maybe some sort of bet. Ms. Mamie Till knows what’s she talking about and has no reason to lie nor do she owe an explanation when she’s speaking facts. You can’t claim to be on the scene of an incident and tell THREE different versions. The bottom line is nobody knows what happened at that store and since he stuttered and used whistling to alleviate his stutter, we’ll never know whether he whistled at her directly or not.
e money Oh btw check out the book she wrote. You’ll enjoy it and get to know just how bright of a kid Emmett was. All people know is the kid we saw in the casket but not his exact character. Stay blessed!
Thats the not the story that was told by the guys that was there. She is saying that their was other kids out there and people was asking him questions..Well the guys was their said they was there like 10 mins and he happen so quick and that their was no girls and didnt anybody ask anything. The whistle he made was that of a flirty whistle said the people that was there. confirmed that. Now none of this excuse what happen to the kid but i can tell she was told to say that for the interview. She never mention before that he had whistle to alleviate his stutter. Again im not excusing what happn.. btw im a black guy so of course i dont like what happen but i just feel like i personally like to hear the guys that was there his cousins talk it seem more accurate
e money Well sir I’m not going to debate with you on this topic. There were other people there on the scene including those who were outside playing the checker game. As I said before the people who were there have changed their story so much that there at THREE different versions of events. Those versions are what I already said. What she is saying is what witnesses told her in the beginning including his COUSINS. As far as whistling it is a FACT that he stuttered and used whistling to alleviate, even one of his cousins confirmed that. So you think she just said he whistled for the interview? LOL. Do you know people who actually stutter!? Anybody who stutters have different tics to help them communicate better with people. In Emmett’s case, whistling was ONE of the ways to help him control his stutter because before he would grab people by their arm when he got frustrated. Whistling helped him to regain his composure, take a deep breathe, think about what he’s trying to say, and speak. Clearly you need to go back and watch this video again and also read her book. His cousin Wheeler just did an interview last year after it came out that the woman lied about her testimony and he said that Emmett was not whistling at her directly. So again if anyone is a witness to a incident, there is no excuse for there to be not one but THREE different versions of events. Now, you have a blessed day!
Exactly.. that what i was thinking too. The way i see it is that it dont matter if its his mom or not and im not being disrespectful at all but for me whenever i hear a story of events i tend to believe the ones that was there. And she was back in Chicago and his cousins was there with him so i believed them. But who knows lol and also i have heard many many interviews that this two cousins did and they story NEVER changed at all. Sometime even a dramatic, traumatic situation can still be blown up to be sensationalized if that make sense
Not sure why this has a thumbs up but you've lost your mind. If you are a murderer and tell interviews "I want him to stay dead" you're not a good person. He was frickin 14 and screaming for his life while they killed him like some dog. TF. Victim? He's a sociopath burning in hell. Period.
I respect Ms Tills opinion on Emmetts whisting, but the fact stands that she wasnt there when he whistled at Carolyn Bryant. The cousins with Emmett all confirmed he did whistle trying to show off and be cool for his friends. Unfortunately he paid with his life. RIP
I agree with you, because I have listened to two of Emmett's cousins give interviews and they both said that he did whistle at Carolyn Bryant. They said no one dared him to do it, and when he did, they were shocked and terrified!! They all jumped in the car and left as fast as they could. Emmett's mother knew how she had raised him, to be respectful to all, so it was unacceptable to her that Emmett would do something like that. Emmett's cousin, Simeon, said in his interview that Miss Mamie account of what happened, was not true, and it was coming from "a mother's love" which I can understand.
This woman is truly an American treasure.

There were 10 witnesses who were at that store on August 24, 1955, testified that Emmett wolf-whistled at Carolyn Bryant. Mamie Mobley was not there.
Here are those witnesses: Ruthie Mae Crawford, Roosevelt Crawford, John Crawford, Robert Wright, Simeon Wright, Albert Johnson, Jr., Wheeler Parker, Pete Parker, Carolyn Bryant, Maurice Wright,
@@mark9531Can't believe nothing Carolyn said cause that Witch is a liar. That Witch wasn't nothing to whistle at looking like an inbred. Either way it goes that Witch got Emmett Murdered.
@@ginadoll00901 Good morning gina. You said; "There are other interviews where she did talk about her son needing whistle."
This is the only interview where Mamie Mobley mentions the whistle. And with all due respect to a grieving mother, Mamie Till Bradley was not at that store on August 24, 1955.
But 10 witness to the wolf whistle were.
@@ginadoll00901 "Either way it goes that Witch got Emmett Murdered."
Watch the video again, starting @ 7.00. Mamie Mobley clearly states that Carolyn Bryant did not tell her husband about the incident at the store.
Mamie Mobley clearly states that it was Maurice Wright who told Roy Bryant. He embellished and repeated the story until, enraged, Roy Bryant gathered his lynch mob.
Thank God for internet and TH-cam lol
He whistled because of his studder😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
According to Emmett's cousins, he wolf whistled at Carolyn Bryant, and it scared them to death!! They said Emmett thought it was funny and wanted to make them laugh, having no idea what he had done!!
Has she written a book and if so could someone please give me the title ? Thank you 😊
Death of innocence
Excellent book, definitely worth reading!!
This baby never whistle at a craca exactly
I bet mamie didnt stay in connect with the uncle & cousins after emmett went missing & murdered because yhe two cousins said he whistled knowimh he studdered.
It’s so hard to listen to this lady and try to understand why God let this happen to this undeserving young man. What cruel tragedy these killers had for a little child. Hope they are burning in hell for this bad deed. Peace and love to his family.
Aaaawww wow !
He was whistling because of a stuttering impairment
The whistling relaxed his muscles before speaking ...
Oh why that's so sad !😞
She so beautiful and had a beautiful son they knew that .. that's why they did that to him HATERS Justice wasn't severd in America but it will by with God
MAMIE TILL MOBLEY, SPEAKS THE TRUTH ABOUT HER SON, WITH CONFIDENCE, AMAZING STRENGTH, AFTER GOING THROUGH THE FIRE OF LOOSING HER SON, I THINK I LEARNED SOMETHING TO DAY, STILL TRYING TO DIGEST IT ,WHAT EVER IT'S VERY POWERFUL, YOUR A FINE MOTHER. 🗿
God bless
Mrs. Till
It makes me want to cry. Those monsters did this to an innocent angel. Motherfuckers!!!
Damn Emmett had to dead over a 50 cents store credit and a whistle. That is So Horrible and Horrific.
Love hearing her soothing voice but why are the videos split up in 8 parts instead of one video?
Who would've thought that that whistle would be misunderstood
Bless her..❤
I love Mamie Till ❤Rest in Enteral Peace 💖
R.I.P. Mimmie . You're up above with your son
I am not going to argue with a grieving mother over the defense of her son. But, in all due respect, Mamie Bradley was not at Bryant's Grocery on August 24, 1955.
However, 10 people were there that evening. And gave testimony that Emmett wolf whistled at Carolyn Bryant. Here are those 10.
Ruthie Mae Crawford, Roosevelt Crawford, John Crawford, Robert Wright, Simeon Wright, Wheeler Parker, Albert Johnson, Jr., Pete Parker, Carolyn Bryant, Maurice Wright,
The cousins was about money I think they loved Emmett for money.
She loved her baby boi my God my God smh
THY LIE KEPT GROWING, AND JUDITH'S WAS THERE 30 PICES OF SILVER, SATAN FEEDS THE STORY, EMMETT TILL NEVER HAD A CHANCE! !🗿
Omg he whitelisted because the was trying to say something but ignorance caused his death so sad
A missundering
No.
His friend did say he made a wolf whistle
Of course, he wolf whistle. His mom taught him how to whistle. It cost him his life. It should have. But it did. Damn.......
Yes, his cousins Wheeler and Simeon both said he wolf-whistled, which is different than an ordinary whistle.
Even if he did whistle did that justify lynching him...SmhShe lied and she has admitted that she lied....
@@apriledmonds4775- She lied about her testimony in court that Emmett grabbed her around her waist and made other advances toward her. That was her recent confession to the author.
@@tbwms3243 I read that it's sad that she is not being held accountable...
The incident happened outside not inside the store.
She sure told her boy not whistle. Down south. You can't whistle down south they don't play that
Cuh he was buying bubble gum. He was whistling cause he couldnt get the words “bubble gum” out of his mouth. Whether you down south, north, east, or west. That still dont justify the killing of that man‼️
Sick motherfuckers in Mississippi!!
@@olcam6071 - Just for clarification, a wolf-whistle (which is what his cousins witnessed that he did) is different from an ordinary whistle.
What little guy is she talking about ?
Such a loving and sweet mother what a strong woman she was
See im confused cause when the boys that was actually there tells a whole different story and he said it didnt last that long..God bless this women but i dont think he knew what really happen cause she was not there and yes i know this is Emmits mom but again she was not there.
She was in denial
Denial of what
Roy Bryant was also a victim, of the segregated SOUTH.
How?
Victim⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️
He's not a victim, he's one of the perpetrators
Not sure why this has a thumbs up but you've lost your mind. If you are a murderer and tell interviews "I want him to stay dead" you're not a good person. He was frickin 14 and screaming for his life while they killed him like some dog. TF. Victim? He's a sociopath burning in hell. Period.
Her mouth so dry I can't take it
How in the hell you know
I respect Ms Tills opinion on Emmetts whisting, but the fact stands that she wasnt there when he whistled at Carolyn Bryant.
Exactly!@@rucianapollard4057
