- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 4 ธ.ค. 2019
- GAME 00:59 / Hi! I have made this ear training game in order for you to learn the notes from the C Major Scale (C, D, E, F, G, A, B). You'll learn to recognize the notes by ear and also how to read the notes on a sheet music. Please let me know what is your score in the comments below 💪 Have fun! Lio

20/20. Congratulations to everyone how got a perfect score. To those who are failing at this, you can perfect this! There's no limits to what you can do!
thanks dude means a lot
I got 1/20 but at least I can spell "who". just joshing
3/20 by chance I guess lol, I love music but I feel ashamed to tell that I love it now XD
20/20. Full disclosure; I paused between most of the notes, while singing or humming to hear the relationship/distance. The listening time of this video is approximately 3 minutes and 15 seconds. I took about 5 minutes to complete it, so about 45 extra seconds. There's no reason to rush if you're going to get tensed up and make mistakes. It's far more beneficial to take things slowly at first, relaxed until the intervals become completely familiar to your ear. You can always make up or find speed recognition exercises later.
Yea I have my guitar and I’m not learning perfect pitch in really just practicing my relative pitch along with humming
Not sure what math you're on but 5 minutes is NOT only 45 seconds longer than 3 minutes 15 seconds, that would be A minute and 45 seconds longer. Unless you made a typo and meant 4 minutes instead of 5...
@@nickphaux You’re right. I “lost” a minute there. Thanks 👍
10/20 I think that's actually great coz I started learning how to play by ear 10 minutes ago lol
I like this a lot but I definitely think there should be another level with no colors during the game part. They're fun, but once you have the associations memorized, you can just guess the notes by looking at the colors. I keep looking away from the screen when I practice so the colors don't give away the answer before my brain can process and analyze the sound lol. Very nice little game!
Hi Amber 👋 thank you for your interesting feedback. Not the first message to say that so I will try to avoid colors for the next exercises even if I personally think it can have benefits for beginners who don't even know the notes. Have a great day. Peace. Lio
@@CSound You're welcome!! The colors definitely are helpful to complete beginners. I think they are fine for this level 1 tbh, but I do like the idea of another level similar to this but without the help of the colors :).
@@amberlouize127 you're right for sur :) level 1 is coming soon and it will be more and more difficult. Peace and have a great day. Lio
@@CSound As a beginner, I find it very helpful. When I get confident, I close my eyes while I listen and whatever color comes up in my mind, that’s the note. I think I’ve memorized the colors to notes by now
Same here. I closed my eyes bc the color gives away the answer.
19/20. Didn't pause the video even for a second, but I still feel my ear isn't tuned enough
20/20 I have perfect pitch so I can easily ace this...but even if you don't have AP you can still guess the pitch just by looking at the color on the screen...If you make another level of this test don't use colors because no ear is being trained by looking at the colors
Winner of a video, I've been looking for "music theory games for beginners" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Foonlant Dumbstruck Formula - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to teach your child to read music notes without the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend got great results with it.
I have developed true pitch and I decided to come back to where I stared just for a trip down memory lane and believe it or not I got one wrong
I also have perfect pitch I just keep forgetting which pitch means what
Then that’s not perfect pitch lol
If you’re a synesthete, you can actually train your ear by imagining the color that comes with the sound :D
20/20. It helps to know what the scale is
Got all except F. Don't know why my brain always gets tricked and confuses F with E but when E is played I'm able to guess it.
I recognize F because of "Blinding Lights" by the weeknd. Try listening to that melody at the chorus of that song a few times, and you wont have trouble with f again
Very hard! Thanks for making this
When your on “Do, Re, Mi” and not “A, B, C”...
It's just C D E F G A B
I like it Do Re Mi Fa Sol La Si 🙂
I like it do re mi fa sol la si
that fucks my brain too lol 😂
Do Re Mi is C, D, E
Just the thing I was looking for
17/20, pretty good
same
9/20 lol I've studied music for 11 years and played instruments for 14 years and yet I've always been tone deaf
Hi Ducky, actually it can also be linked to the fact that you are listening to the video with poor headphones. It's harder to get the right note if you listen on something without bass for example. Anayway, even if you were tone deaf, you can still make music so it's not a big deal. And it's always time to train your ear. With training, i'm sure you can become a tone master :) Peace. Lio
technically only those who are deaf are tone deaf, you just outta practice more
Based on personal experience, my suggestion is to slow down. Repetition is the key - pun intended, of course. I've been playing guitar for more than 20 years, and the biggest improvements to my playing came after I slowed down everything - that is, both in practice and ear training. I had to slow down and deliberately hear what I was doing. As I mentioned in an earlier comment: "The listening time of this video is approximately 3 minutes and 15 seconds. I took about 5 minutes to complete it, so about 45 extra seconds." Take all the time you need. It doesn't matter if you take 45 minutes extra, although that may fatigue your ear. 15-30 minutes of ear training is fine - every day. 5 days per week minimum. There is no downside to developing this discipline. While your listening skills improve, other aspects of your musicality will also improve. You'll see and hear it for yourself. All the best to you in your musical endeavours.
@@WorldvsTruth well how do i practice ear training cuz im really sucking at this.
@@Sedhillo usually that's not what people mean by tone deaf but I'm sorry for replying 2 years later
Perfect 20in one listen👍🏼
I need this 😊😊😊😊😊 thank you very much ❤❤❤❤
19/20 ear training every day 😊
17/20 let’s goooo!
13/20 , ngl I did use intervals to get some of them, and I mostly recognized the Cs and Bs.
20/20!
Don’t have perfect pitch but when I hear it I can point it out on the piano on my first try usually
Then you have perfect pitch from definition.
@@ScienceFactsDE no I can’t hum notes from memory so I don’t
@@qtzoro i don‘t think one has to meet all conditions. If you can instantly tell a note (by name or on an instrument) you meet one condition. Even if you can‘t sing it or hear out all three notes in a chord. But I‘m new to this😅
@@ScienceFactsDE what if you have to think about it for a second?

Mavi - Age 7 Yrs old
Score: 19/20 - wrong on number 9
Amazing ! Keep up the good work Mavi ! Peace. Lio
10/20, I got a fair number of them by just knowing it went a step up and I really need to practice.
relative pitch moment
14 on second try! two months of piano learning
I love this execise
Thank you for your kind feedback :) I'm glad you liked this exercise. Peace. Lio
I've never done this, but I could segregate the pitches in 3,4 slots how high is the pitch and make some guess work. Guess I'm not really good at it.
13/20
next time Im gonna take full mark !
Excellent, I guessed exactly all your test. Hope that you are going to continue to post adding more new levels next time. And at present, my issue can’t be guessed the music notes as C#,D#, F#,G#, A#. Please, Let’s help me and everybody
Wow. I am having such a hard time with this. LOL!
This is what I need😊😊😊😊
I'm glad to read this! Have fun learning :) peace. Lio
This is great! I tried another tutorial here on YT and felt the higher keys were off.
Thank you for you comment :) Yes sometimes they use detune keyboards for tutorials... it's kind of counter productive ^^ Peace. Lio
That makes se@@CSound That makes sense
20/20 ! It's all about passion nothing about natural born .
Well done my friend! And true, it's all about passion :) peace. Lio
19/20 but feel that if I was focused could get a easy 20
I see you used the colors Newton identified with the notes
I got the one to the right of the actual note every single time
i've listen the learning part twice and i got 20/20 :)
Well done Sara 👏 peace. Lio
I kinda guess all within the same octave, but when it jumps into an octave higher or lower I get lost.
I dont have perfect pitch but if u can remember the colors or just compare it to the note before it's still doable
You're right ;) It's for beginners. I wll create an harder version for intermediate / advanced musicians. Peace. Lio
I remembered the colours, but not the notes 🤣🤣
Naw cuz iv been wondering how my orchestra teacher identifies them so easily. I literally have to do D major scale in my head to identify a note💀💀
2/20 i need to practice more
20/20
Time to release the level 2 then :) congrats.
Hello, is there an app that can do this exercises ? I learnt those answers by heart and it doesn't help me anymore.
16/20. Not great but I’m proud of myself.
16/20 is very good Lillian!! Keep up the great work. You're soon going to get 20 💪 peace. Lio
20/20, I don't know if I have good pitch ( I know it is not perfect). But this test was kind easy
I use Indian carnatic music notes Sa ri ga ma and it's about the same notes for C (sa) E (ga) F (ma) G(pa) A (da) B (ni)
1 out of 20 i am deaf i think
Wow that's worse then guessing
Be proud
@@Erik-jl7ns :-/
Hey you got one though :D
1/20 👍
Being honest is a quality :)) And don't worry, the more you train, the more you'll improve 👍 im' sure you're gonna have 20/20 one day. Peace. Lio
i keep guessing one note off. e.g. for E i guessed D, for G i guessed F, idk why that keeps happening
11/20
My son is 5 and got 19/20🎉
Nice!!! Naturally gifted, impressive. Well done to your son. Peace and greetings from France. Lio
00:02 C
00:09 D
00:17 E
00:24 F
00:31 G
00:38 A
00:45 B
00:52 C
( for my own use, and for anyone who wants to shift to notes differently or multiple times to learn it)
Please don't post it .
u ruined
Thanks 👍🏼
Are the question cards color coded to the notes? That seems to kinda defeat the purpose doesn't it?
Yes you're right Chris :) because it's level 1 for beginners and I want them to feel confortable with the notes... Harder level are coming soon without colors. Thank you for the feedback. Peace. Lio
@@CSound Ok, that makes sense.
What happen if change the key?
Intervals Help.🙃😊🙃
Do you also make videos for the guitar?
I have made guitar tutorials for songs but not yet for ear training. But it's coming soon :) peace. Lio
@@CSound, thank you! I will be looking forward to seeing it. :)
15/20
6/20 first try
I started getting them a little more at the end but to be honest this was harder than I thought it would be and I got alot wrong😂
Keep it up! :)
@CSound Thanks man, also your videos are great, I have just started learning everything in it's right place on piano with the tutorial you created and it's great. It's my first attempt ever learning something on piano and it's good how you have broke each section down it makes it easier to isolate each bit, practice and ultimately learn it quicker. It's simple and effective.
@@chazzat3113 thank you, I really appreciate the feedback and kind words!! Have fun learning your first piano song - it's a great one :) peace and greetings from France. Lio
@CSound you're right it is a great one❤️
I did it first time in my life and I got 16/20
Impressive !!
I got only 1 correct.
13/20
Good job! Need to record the level 2. Peace. Lio
20/20 wow
Well done Giorgio! 🙌
How to know the difference between a high c and a middle c?
I could guess the cs easily for some reason
All those who have perfect pitch have fantastic relative pitch those who have perfect pitch have perfect relative pitch also and they are fantastic singers and musicians but those who have relative pitch don't necessarily have perfect pitch... So congrats if you have a perfect pitch because many have relative pitch sense it's common but to have perfect pitch you need ear training and it relative pitch is very common if you have a perfect pitch absolutely you will have a relative pitch because it's easy...
I got 15/20 on my 4th try looking away and not memorizing the colors. Not perfect pitch but is it possible for me to eventually get 20/20 or is it something I’m either born with or not?
Trying this with my eyes closed
1st attempt -3
2nd attempt -8
3rd attempt -13
4th -15
i'm too sleepy to pay attention to my score lol but something's funny: i got an F wrong and the next was G but i went with D because it sounded a little higher than the previous note, just like when you play C and then D yk? then i realized it was G after F, just a step up. does that make sense? idk, it's 7 in the morning and i haven't slept yet.
It makes total sense :) peace. Lio
@@CSound now looking at that comment i realized i said "just a semitone up" when it was actually a whole step up lmao but yeah i'm glad i wasn't totally crazy xD
@@laura3003 haha far from being crazy. And you wrote that you didn't sleep... So it's quite normal :)
1:00
Thank you for uploading this
i got them all with my guitar. i cant do anything by ear tho, im just starting.
Wasn’t counting. But I got like 5 or 6 and the majority of times the ones I got wrong were literally the next note or the before note. I’m not sure if that’s something good. Can someone tell me?
17\20
I almost got everything wrong *sighs. I'll be doing this everyday and see how I'll improve.
I GOT THEM ALL RIGHT
when you've unconcsiously memorized the colors 👀
It’s pretty easy tbh I started learning perfect pitch literally yesterday and I got a 15/20 I’m pretty happy but then again I’m still struggling with f g and a notes
learn/listen to songs that have does notes throughout
im so bad lol im like is that f and its a b lol
18 out of 20. I stopped throughout each note because i was playing the notes on my bass aswell.
18/20 ;-;
90%
Well done Aditya !! Good job. Peace. Lio
can onlyrember C and B and only when its the middle C and B :(
First time got 5/20, second time got 15/20. But the colours need to change lol, i have to try and not lol at the screen when the note comes.
Is there an app for this?
Does it work?
Hi ! what do you mean ? If you practice on a regular basis, yes it works :)
I was kinda cheating. Each letter had a color so I just memorized each one🤭
19/20
Well done Mora !!
2nd attempr 10/20
F is the most hard for me .
Only got 10/20
16
20/20 but i dont have a perfect pitch its just too easy for that level of test
6/20
I like the subliminal association he makes with the colors lol
16/20 not that bad
Well done 🙌Peace. Lio
@@CSound thank you :)
I got 18 and I'm only 13...is that good, sir/ma'am?
I got 16/20
Aint no way i got nothing but the Cs correct 💀
Next time you will have the D's :) Practice makes perfect ^^ Have fun learning, Peace. Lio
10 points me is bad at this
I got 7
0/20. I'm a drummer
Unacceptable, drummers 100% always have perfect pitch
