From MTG to now Fr.Denis looks a lot different, can feel the pain he went through in last 6-8 months. Toughest time of life, it doesn't happen to everyone and it doesn't happen all the time. May be God chooses some people to go through these pain just to bring justice to entire community. Here Fr.Denis was the chosen one to show how most of the priest community goes through the pain. I was in tears to hear this conversation. Whatever they do, it is condemned by few people and rest of the good people just watch it silently. Why don't we consider priests as fellow beings. While sympathising with Fr Denis for all the unwarranted pains and torments he experienced, hope these bitter incidents won't dissuade the future aspirants for vocation from embracing the pathwood of divine call.
Father I know very well that you are innocent. When I first heard about this incident I recollected what one of my close friend in college told me about a decade back that people from Shirva. Particularly about the way these people misbehave with priests and religious people. This is not the first incident with people frm shirva involving priests , there have been many such incidents but thanks to the big heart of priests who constantly forgive and forget the incidents.
Fr Denis is very strong ,determined and supportive priest ..we know him as he has supported as a lot while our nursing studies in fr mullers...no human accusations can degrade his worth...he is a true gift and blessing to our humanity

There is so much to take from this interview, but I will comment on only two things. First - and one that hits me personally - is that many chose to remain silent. The words of Dante Alighieri come to mind, "The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." The second point that I found striking is a reminder that we don't own our priests. This perhaps explains why people demand answers from priests to an extent that they lose all control. It is because they believe they own them. It took a crisis to get to fully understand what a learned, intelligent and articulate Parish Priest we have in Fr. Denis D'Sa. But, it is not a price anyone should pay. I cannot even begin to imagine how much pain Fr. Denis would have endured; it is so shameful that he, along with our Bishop and other priests, were treated like criminals. I can only offer these few excerpts for Fr. Denis taken from Max Ehrmann's poem Desiderata: "Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." May the Lord walk with you always...

Great initiative... Was a much needed interview.. Blaming anyone when we don't hv evident proof and that to when it's elderly religious ppl a lot has to be thought of... I hope as a society we will be able to get positive perspectives of life atleast after this pandamic..

There is so much to take from this interview, but I will comment on only two things. First - and one that hits me personally - is that many chose to remain silent. The words of Dante Alighieri come to mind, "The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis."
The second point that I found striking is a reminder that we don't own our priests. This perhaps explains why people demand answers from priests to an extent that they lose all control. It is because they believe they own them.
It took a crisis to get to fully understand what a learned, intelligent and articulate Parish Priest we have in Fr. Denis D'Sa. But, it is not a price anyone should pay.
I cannot even begin to imagine how much pain Fr. Denis would have endured; it is so shameful that he, along with our Bishop and other priests, were treated like criminals.
I can only offer these few excerpts for Fr. Denis taken from Max Ehrmann's poem Desiderata:
"Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy."
