We have to put all the pieces together Saturday and play our best game of the year…period. Texas hasn’t really played anyone, but they have had a great “pre-season” anyway. Beck was clearly mentally overwhelmed his first start at Alabama (5 total turnovers, including the safety). That Beck cannot show up in Texas. The DBs have to finally wake-up and make some big plays. They have to win more 50/50 balls than they have all year, but still not let them pick us apart underneath either. I don’t see us holding Texas under 35 points, so that leaves our only option for winning to score more than that. Without establishing a running game all year, I am concerned about us being able to score that much. We have to convert 3rd downs and extend drives; then score TDs at the end, not FGs. It’s hard to pick the Dawgs, but I’m going out on a limb and picking the Dawgs 41-31.

Does anyone else think that Kirby has just changed his approach to getting the best out of the team for the best time? Bama is this years Missouri because they did not "caudle" them and made them play so that the team generates it`s own cohesion. At some point in a season for the last 3 years or so it seemed that coach knew he has the folks but he just needs them to play together better so he puts them in sink or swim situation. Each times the overall cohesion increased and the team seem to be better. When we went ahead against Bama for 30 seconds we pretty accomplished better cohesion. UGA - 45 Texas -17

Furthermore, as we look at the last four recruiting classes, it appears that for some reason, the team is not performing at the standard they could be expected to. The only explanation would seem to be coaching. Tell me why not. Has Kirby ever taken an outmanned team to a victory or only lost with the more talented and deeper teams? I love Kirby but he should get control of his sideline tantrums and be a pro.
