- Many don't know what otome games are. When explaining it we always get weird stares from non-otakus. But otome games are more than that and an amazing adventure into the world of visual novels with your favourite husbando. Here is a small explanation of what it is and why we play and also how to start to get into them.

I just started getting into this genre last week, lol. It's interesting and fresh to me who's used to playing JRPGs and just mainly games where you're constantly doing stuff. Tbh, it was difficult to get into at first because of all the neverending text and dialogue, lmao, but I'm getting used to it. I still can't say with 100% confidence that otome is ny fave genre, but that's maybe because I haven't found the right otome for me, so who knows. Thank you for the insight!

I’ve just started playing otome games and I really love them so far. I’ve only tried my forged wedding party (and whilst the app is a bit confusing I do like it). I’m looking to try more on pc on steam

The genre appears to be extremely “Girly” I don’t mean that in a bad way. I got introduced to it by a drop dead gorgeous girl and Lo here is another drop dead gorgeous girl talking about it lol I plan to try one out and then do an analysis video on it, it’s fascinating me from an observer perspective, probably sounds weird but if girls always call me one thing it’s ‘Weird”…and “Sweet” are there guy types in Otome that are called “Weird and Sweet”? Lol 😸

So there’s no English otome games?
Of course there are. They are usually OELVNs (Original English Language Visual Novels). In fact, my favorite Otome game is an English otome game named Cinderella phenomenon.
Anyway, there are many more, but just to name a few English otome games, here are some ...
Cinderella Phenomenon;
Locked heart,
1931: Scheherazade at the library or Pergamum;
Changeling,
Heaven's grave;
Halloween otome;
Christmas otome
By the way, Cinderella phenomenon, Locked heart, Halloween otome and Christmas otome are free games.

No. Otome and Yaoi are different genres of visual novels. The greatest difference is that otome has a female MC while BL or yaoi has a male MC.
No. Otome is female protagonist X male character. BL is male protagonist X male character.
BL games are not otome and you shouldn't post spoiler CGs in your videos
They are considered to be part of the genre but are specifically called BL games. And I put some CGs only to give the viewers a taste of what to expect and what’s so special about these games which would wake interest in trying them but it does not give out a whole spoiler of the plot and happening ^^
@@VIZZEY BL is a part of the genre "joseimuke", not otome. Otome game implies to have a female MC (which BL don't have). I really recommend to go on the otome game subreddit to know more about the genre and his definition. About the spoilers, you should at least warn your viewers about it, so people can choose not to watch or skip it, I don't think it's too much to ask. Some people don't like to be spoiled. Also, some otome compagnies don't allow sharing CGs and spoilers of their games. I think you should be aware of that. ^^
@@lovisall90 well I didn’t get any complaints yet and I did this video long time ago when I had 50 subscribers and just started so I did not know that they would do that since I was just at the beginning of making videos back then and this video only had 80 views and I did not know how to make videos or talk properly so pardon my misinformation and ignorance. I just want to raise awareness towards their existence since not many know about this video game genre, so I am aware of that warning now and the do’s and don’ts. And as of joseimuke there is a huge debate about that and I agree with you it goes more under that category than otome I wasn’t thinking about that when filming because I wanted to make a separate video about it and it’s totally fine to correct me that’s why the comment section is here ;)
@@VIZZEY no, that's fine. I'm sorry I might have sound a little bit rude. I'm still happy people talk about otome, that's why I watched your video despite being an otome gamer since a long time. I'm trying to make contructive criticisms but I need to formulate things in a nicer way

I haven’t seen many otome content creators and just went with what I know but I am always open for criticism to make it better in the future and understandable for viewers also, I am always happy to find fellow otome fans because I’ve been into these game since 2010 so every help and suggestion is appreciated.
