I use sugar on my grits… but I noticed when I was down south for the summers w/ my dad… or even when I went to college everyone used salt & pepper & cheese… everyone would be looking at me like I was crazy 😂 especially when I went to school down there… they would be like what is this Cali girl doing… 😂 she don’t know what she missing out on… but it’s the same thing when it came to rice… I grew up on butter & salt & pepper & my aunt & my cousins would eat butter & sugar on their rice… I used to think that was gross 🤮 😂 but every family is different… 😂
