I’m glad you commented this, too, because from what I’ve seen 9/10 reactors to Alan Becker end up starting the series in the middle of the good parts without any prior knowledge, not realizing it was like a TV show and that starting at a completely random episode is not good, and then they act confused about the climax and flashback parts even though it clearly says in the title “episode 26” (episode number doesn’t mean anything, just picked a random number from 1-34 basically)
I am surprised at how little you know about this game.
Red was posessed by Herobrine not Steve. He was practically a legend at the time. If he was in your server you'd find weird pyramids around your world and him stalking you like Sans in undertale.

A pretty big correction, you actually CAN make stuff move in Minecraft, it just requires some know how with Command Blocks, and a willingness to build out every single frame of the animation.

For origin story you should watch Animator vs Animation 1-4, in fourth one there's origin story of orange stick figure and how he met his friends, also you shouldn't watch Animation vs League of Legends yet, because its continuation of first season, while you watched a pilot episode, first season of AvM (Animation vs Minecraft) is 1-14 episodes, and then you should watch Animation vs League of Legends, since it connected by a story and goes after season 1. There's also a complications of seasons of Alan's channel, you can watch first two seasons of AvM by complications, but I would recommend watching season 3 by separate episodes, since it would be quite long to watch a whole complication, plus there's would be a cliffhangers in the end of every episode in season 3
Hope you’ll watch the full series of ‘shorts’ there all gear and even get an overarching story of their own after a bit

You can make stuff move like that in minecraft but you need command blocks which are only accebale be "/give @p command_block" command and only can be interacted whit in creative
Herobrine is a white eyed Steve skin and a really old Minecraft creepypasta, said to haunt your single player game. It’s become so widespread that even Mojang mentions “•removed Herobrine” in game updates, at least until recently

Well yes and no can make automatic doors in Minecraft staircases that can go in walls but you can't make a moving windmill so yeah there are limitations
Animation gets way better as the series goes on, but Season 3 is the best animated and story focused season
