Well, Charles I was a fanatical Catholic who was beheaded while Charles III is a lover of glonohomo and environmental shit. They're completely different persons lmao
I know the cause of the civil war. The King Charles 1 of England and the English parlament we’re fighting for the government money of the nation and reforms for some religious things 🇲🇽🏴
1649, January 20. King Charles I of England, Scotland and Ireland is lead into Westminster hall, wich had been remade to be the "High court of justice" for a few months untill they get rid of the king. The very man who started a bloody civil war by pissing of a large percentage of the country with he's absolutist policies is lead in front of a judge and a trial against a king who, by English law had divine authority to rule and therefore those who question he's power question God started. After a week, parliament, through a few lies and schemes manages to gather enough witnesses against the king and finally execute the king on January 30 with charges of tyranny, treason and murder. This song is about the long and bloody civil war wich began 7 years prior to that, however not much changes in England when it comes to ruling, parliament appoints Oliver Cromwell to be lord-protector (basically a dictator with an oligarchic parliament) and he lived in the royal palace, dissolved a parliament and appointed it's leaders himslef, banned many personal liberties, closed theatres, massacred many thousands of catholics and he forced people to reffer to him as "he's highness" Cromwell can be described as someone who overthrew a tyrannical king and became a tyrannical dictator, not much else to say here.
Keep in mind that most deaths in the English civil war was friendly fire because the royalists used red waistcoats and the parliamentarians used orange

So what I’m getting from this song is basically “Booker doesn’t know Jack-****, things will only get better when the king comes home.”
Oliver Cromwell has been pulling troops out of Marston Moor since this song was released.
Is this the original pronunciation? I'd assume that the pronunciation of words changed a lot in the past 400 years, and I wonder if there's a version that takes that into account.
Good point! You don't think this is the original recording?
Nope.
It hasn't changed.
Since English is a Perfect language with *_Z E R O_* Flaws! /s
It's not, you can even notice that some words don't rhyme with modern pronunciation, although it looks like they should in the song (stars - wars, brave - have).
Yes. This is actually a recording of the song from the time!
@@spaghettiisyummy.3623 Back back and back all three have different meaning, tear and tear or read and read
Oliver Cromwell banned Christmas but still liked smoking
God Save the King! 🇺🇦❤️🇬🇧
Cool
Lancaster vs York
How it ended?
Victory for the Tudor house 🗿

I hope Charlie Three will be a better king than Charlie one
Well, Charles I was a fanatical Catholic who was beheaded while Charles III is a lover of glonohomo and environmental shit. They're completely different persons lmao
Charles I is hard to beat
@@MHurtado89 Charles, first of his name, was a loser. He failed to establish Absolutism and lose the civil war
Not really a sign of a great monarch
Did the british empire also sing this on second english civil war?
Lol, britian basically did the French revolution almost 150 years early. A republican overthrows a monarch only to become even more tyrannical.
Pov: You're William Hiseland
Keep in mind that most deaths in the English civil war was friendly fire because the royalists used red waistcoats and the parliamentarians used orange
So what do the flag countries represent this time? Royalist territory in the Civil War?
Yes, as the Royalists gradually lose ground.
Cool, but I expected some English song like Agincourt Carol, but ain't everything is how we expect :/
Although I admit that song matches the current England ×D
