- Manipur’s political bodies, women’s and students’ organisations and NGOs are mobilised to defend the land and tens of thousands of people internally displaced. The district, with neighbouring Bishnupur as the border, is cut off from the capital Imphal.
Towards the end of our stay in the district, we sat down with Ginza Vualzong, head of the media cell of the Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum (ITLF). The ITLF, at least, for the outside world is the spearhead of the Kuki-Zou movement. In this interview, Vualzong spoke to NewsClick’s Siddhanth Aney about the political objectives of the Kuki-Zou, how tribal interests came to be aligned and why the Centre is either ignorant or just plain unwilling to help.

The end goal of this violence is to achieve separate administrator for illegal immigrants and refugees from Myanmar to be able to live in Manipur. Meitei get nothing from this violence.
They could demand democratically without violence, but they want to play victim card , life of innocents are priceless as long as they get their demand.
So the illegal migrants are using the original Kuki tribals as their weapons giving them hope to achieve a separate land which is far from achieving.

If the citizens of the States those belongs were not vigilant to guards their borders areas and its sovereignty to maintain with the help of security or police of the concerned states. My opinion about the ongoing conflict between the waring groups can be avoided if the previous cautious to burning issues like infiltration or illegal migration or refugees those who were comings to search for betterment of life and their wards etc. In this regards I would like to stress the old slogans only a small plant can be cut or remove only with little no need of sickle but if it grow the needs to big tools or efforts.

Reality- there are many tribes from Naga ,, kom,kabui, maring ,living peacefully and even hundreds of Kukis are staying at checkon including the Ex DGP Doungel …
2) meitei started the attacks - reality is in the beginning meiteis were silent even they had a violent protest with guns but meitei retaliated only when Kuki started burning houses at torbung , Moreh and Churchandpur on 3 rd May
3 ) Meiteis wants to grab land .. reality is Kukis we’re chased by Naga in kuki Naga clash in 1993-6 and Kukis were given place to live at the adjoining areas of valleys and hills… so how can meitei grab land from those who don’t have their own land ???
4 ) Regarding Drug and poppy cultivation: reality - MPS Brinda caught a kuki drug cartel called LUKHOSEI ZOU who was later released with the support from CM Biren and her rumoured mistress Olice … so Kukis are involved in plantation and smuggling too .. (for proof watch Clay khongsai IPS TH-cam channel where he raided and destroyed poppy plants at a kuki village …
5) Regarding illegal immigrants - reality - there are many myanmarese Terrorist admitted in CHurchandpur District Hospital with bullet and bomb injuries ..it became viral few days back with an official order’s mentioning their names , address (tamu myanmar) and type of injuries ( all bullet injury or bomb blast ) ..
6) On June 10 axis bank was robbed in Churchandpur and lost money worth 3 crores ( check the news to verify)
7) Churchandpur has become a hotbed for illegal activities after the demographic separation
8) Kuki were called enemy of the forest by British and that still holds true ..
