- The final, final MV from the Nightmare Arc. We’re not ready for it all to be over! 😭😭Dreamcatcher brought us on a rollercoaster of a ride.
Now that we’ve listened to all the title tracks, and even been to a concert we feel like bonafide Insomnias!!!
We’re not 100% convinced that Breaking Out is really a “happy ending”, but talk about ending the Dreamcatcher nightmare series with a bang. Their Japanese songs really hit differently!!
Now we’re really looking forward to watching the MVs back to back to catch everything we missed the first time round, spot all the fan theory points, and listen to the music evolution.

Fate is represented in Korean mythology as red threads that tie you to certain people and keep you away from other people. The girls are defying the fate that Yoohyeon's crime created for them and through sheer determination find each other and are reunited in an unbroken circle. This means they can go on to the afterlife and await rebirth. Hopefully they won't make the same mistake in their next life.
Oh we didn’t think about it in terms of fate. Too caught up with the idea of spiders. Interesting, framed in that way it’s definitely a happier ending than Piri.
Don't forget the full Japanese album containing this song, plus songs only issued on this album, plus previous Japanese singles released and other DC songs in Japanese.

"Breaking Out" is personally my fav Japanese song (but they are all great and I love their other song "My Way"). For some, it is kind of what gave birth to "Boca" sound wise (more "exotic" vibe for the verses with rap parts sprinkled here and there and a heavy rock riff in the chorus).
Even if they are still traped, "Breaking Out" is happier with white/bright lights at the end and they are all smiling while in "Piri" the room went dark and they are kind of gloomy.
So next is "Endless Night" the last one! What are you going to check after for Dreamcatcher? Do you already have an idea or a list? 😄

Well thankfully DC keep releasing covers and have an upcoming song (we have an amazing source who shares all the good stuff 😂), so we’ll start there and figure it out as we go!
We need to listen to no more and breaking out back to back to see which one takes the Japanese lead for now. That’s true it did end a bit brighter and with some wins in the MV. Others mentioned that the strings are to do with fate, and so then standing together in strings bodes well in that context!

you can search dreamcatcher special clip and see the playlist made by their channel. just pick one that looks interesting or maybe start with their b-side special clips first: red sun, and there was no one left, july 7th, wonderland, mayday, sleepwalking, trust me, emotion, lullaby. I think the only ones you saw here the self made ones sahara and break the wall.

I think what makes this the better ending is more in the way that they are dealing with the nightmare. In Piri they constantly seem terrified and are always running and at the end it shows that they all become one with Yoohyeon in being trapped. In Breaking Out it shows them actually standing up to the nightmare and conquering it and instead of fusing with Yoohyeon they pull her to them which gives the feeling that they are stronger now and have a better chance at navigating out of the dream world now that they are together.
Oh that's true, they do seem more confident in Breaking Out. We like this perspective! :)

I think that even trapped they will be happy just to be together 😊 this is my favorite japanese realise, although it's not as heavy as the others it has good rhythm and Siyeon in the chorus... a rock angel haha 🤘 this song is the perfect example of what I like about Dreamcatcher... they will give you soft and beautiful melodies but it will not sleep you and it will give you impressive sounds but without overwhelming you.. as Jeffrey said you know what to expect but you are still surprised... Although the main tracks (Korean) are over for now there is a lot of content to see, if you let me know that you would like to see I can recommend things, the important thing is that you continue to feel comfortable, the reactions are better like this 😊 btw Sua, Siyeon and Yoohyeon just released a new cover song (Seventeen - oh my!)

I reccomend listening to King's X. Not that it would give you traction as a channel, but I think you would find it personally fulfilling. There's a video of Goldilox where they barely play, the audience sings the whole song. Being in a crowd all singing the same song is something I fear some people will miss out on.
