Dave……no lie….your channel is my favorite TH-cam fishing channel. I fish Truman on the regular now after being out of tournament fishing while my son grew up. He’s 16 now and has the competitive fishing bug! Fished FX with you on Saturday. I was on a solid squarebill pattern in the lower Osage the Saturday and Friday before the derby. We thought this was our breakout tournament. Well…..we didn’t adjust. Clouds and no wind hurt us. Probably should’ve pitched a worm in the same areas. Live and learn.

I caught the largest bass of this year on a 1/2 Black and Blue Football jig with a Chigger Craw trailer dip claws in Chartruse just this past weekend. She was 7.85 lbs out of 30 ‘ of water. Love my jig.

You should make GPS trails to get into and out of sketchy areas. I make them when the water is low or use Google Earth to look at the lake when it's low. I've made dozens of trails that way. All of our lakes have random timber, most of it you can't see until the lake gets real low. I use side scan to verify some of the trickier trails before I run them fast.
And I still hit stuff but normally it's because my mind wanders.
