The art style is gorgeous throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed my way through this series and the Omni is pretty affordable for an omnibus and you get the whole series and extras. Thanks for watching!
@@MrComm oh I’m so glad!! Yes this one is Fantastic! There’s a series that’s still ongoing from Image I’ve been enjoying called Undiscovered Country that I like
I bought the individual issues, which i still have in a longbox somewhere. I bought both Absolute Planetary slipcases, but, i sold those on when this Omnibus came out. The Cassaday art is superb, and, i loved trying to figure out all the homages and references in each issue. The underlying mystery, i was less bothered about. This omnibus is superior to the Absolutes, simply because it contains the JLA, Authority and Batman oneshots. The Batman oneshot is great fun, with Casaday aping so many historic Batman artists and, also including live action versions of Batman. The Jerry Ordway art on the JLA one shot was also great to see. His art style is so classic, and, it is greatly missed. Great Omnibus. Great commentary.
Thank you for writing this out! I definitely appreciate you outlining the differences in the formats in regard to content. That was a driving factor for me with this book I believe. I absolutely loved this series and the longer time goes by the more I appreciate it. Definitely one I need to re-read soon
Yeah I haven’t delved much into his personal life or anything, but I definitely enjoyed this series but I preferred his work on Transmetropolitan. Have you read that one?
Something about this omni (series) just drew me in. The artstyle and story sounds really nice and i might have to put this one on my to-buy-list :)

I remember really liking this series when it came out. If only Warren Ellis weren't such a, well, bastard.

@@TheComicBookReport I have. I think Transmetropolitan is probably his best work.
@@TaylorWinder that series was one of the first non-superhero comics I checked out and it just blew me away
