Planetary is such a great book. It had a slow beginning that would throw you head first into their lives. It started to come together towards the middle and issue 21 blew my mind. I kept a dictionary to the side lol
Great review. I'm about halfway through and so far have enjoyed it, but it hasn't knocked me off my feet. The art is fantastic and the writing is solid, though I'm still trying to truly care for the characters. Thanks for the vid!
Great video and awesome review as per usual man :) I've got this omnibus on order as I love Warren Ellis' writing especially his works on Transmetropolitan, Moon Knight and Crecy. I also love John Cassaday's art from Astonishing X-Men keep up the great work as always.
ok. I've planned to get this and i'm getting it now lol. Just wanted someone to talk about it more and i'm kinda sold yh. Like you said about mixed feeling about it, it seemed like a lot of people had te same feeling and it's ratings and reviews are pretty much top notch.
Nice man you seem like a big fear agent fan! That's next on my list after I get this haul and read it all :) was also gonna ask do I have to read all of hellboy first before BPRD or can I read them together? Was thinking of ordering hellboy and bprd vol1
Great review! I have a question: how do you consume your comics? Do you double/triple dip after buying floppies (IF you buy floppies), or do you wait for the omnibuses/OHC to come out?
This as my first omnibus. I had to get it after reading the first issue. I haven't read almost any DC stuff, and as far as I understand I am fine for reading Planetary, but do you know if I can read Multiversity with very limited DCU knowledge? Will I be missing out on anything?
Absolute Planertary has more stories Batman extra so are more pages on Absolute version 👍 Have it and say are a great book and not go compete to Watchmen for are not same kind of story 👍
I have the Animal Man Omnibus. Cos i read Grant Morrison's Animal-Man as a kid. So i say get that one first. But also definitely get Planetary afterwards! As i plan on doing myself!

I love books that make you keep a dictionary to the side lol.
Mate, just read this for our podcast and had exactly the same thoughts. The art especially.

Definitely better than Watchmen for me. Warren Ellis is easily one of the best writers ever

I bought this omnibus today, never heard of the series but hey I heard it's pretty good.
How does the spine hold up with this version? Large thick hardcovers can be hit and miss.

very nice review!
I miss you guy, where are you?

I love DC. They have more interesting/mature stories and characters for the most part imo. I liked Marvel more when I was a kid though.

I'm on the fence for this or something marvel
I got this coming from instock trades you prefer this, fear agent or Hellboy/bprd??
Man hard choices. Out of that list though I would say Fear Agent then in a very very very close second Hellboy/B.P.R.D.
i prefer hellboy/ B.P.R.D fear agent goes super crazy and kinda covoluted
Irish Knight planetary, then Hellboy, then fear agent. go for black science though if you haven't already. best of all those books combined
Should I get this or the animal man omnibus?????
I'd say animal man if you aren't as into extremely talks stories like Planetary is
