You guys really cleaned that one up nicely. Perfect. Nothing is faster on bumpy, tight, hilly roads than a thumper. I used to smoke many Ninjas, GS' s and FZ' s back in the day on my 600 Honda. They have twice the power but my bike is 100 lbs. lighter. I love it

Pulling him on every strait and smoking him through the turns with my foot down sliding with knobbies on the street. Also smoked my friends GS1100 on the same road. That's Jesus Maria Road, runs from Moke Hill highway 49 to Mountain Ranch Road Road. I can't go as fast on that road with my GS1150 or Kawasaki Kz 1000 either. Understand, the road is a patchwork quilt of potholes and very tight turns and abrupt elevation changes. Excessive power isn't needed. Lightweight and handling rule the day in these California hills. On sissy roads the bigger heavier bikes can use their power and beat the thumper, of course. But not on my hill brother.
Great idea to use a skate board for seat plate. I did that also, years ago, on my Honda CX500. Turned out to be a brat cafe racer and everyone loved it. Keep it up and ride safely. 😎

A Honda FMX650(XR650L engine),built in Spain by Montesa,the trials bike people(Honda company)....i'm building an ADV bike out of my one,be put up on here later! Two faults with the bike,the forks were too long from the factory(front end high,looks like the rear squats), i've had my forks shortened, and very low on power....that's being addressed! 19" f/wheel going on my one,as well as a 25litre fuel/gas tank!
