@@Winterstick549 58 with a flat ground and a 13 tooth front schprocket. I have a mini carbon windscreen that Seems to help stabilize the front at higher speeds as well.
How tall are you Brutha? I'm 6'-3" and 215 pounds. Looking for a mini-moto for that area that your in. I'm about to move to Sevierville, Pigeon Forge area ....
I rode my latest Monkey home from the dealers 70 miles away at mostly full throttle and high speeds. I just changed the oil and checked the valves early. They are great off road as well. The most fun bike ever!
The Monkey looks like fun, it was a close second but I ended up getting a Grom. I've had lots of motorcycles over the last 45 years, the Grom was without a doubt the most fun of all of them.
Another great video Don. Recently bought a grom for my son to ride, he put 6000 kms on his ruckus in two seasons, has a full drivers license now and thought getting him a grom to get his motorcycle license on was a good idea. Lots of smiles per mile. Ride safe. Cheers
Great video, can't believe you wife's monkey only had 200miles on it, seems like she had that such a long time before mine arrived and I've put 130 on mine and don't even feel like I've been anywhere, lol! I really love the 2023 models so glad I waited I waited and got one, I love it, and yeah that exhaust heat shield will make an excellent hamd warmer in colder.months..
@@Dondular ah blimey you both ride big bikes too then, yeah now my 900 has gone and Monkey is main bike, I guess I will get more miles on that, I think my passion for riding bikes had faded, but the monkey has revived it a bit, I just have to try and not ride it too much or else I may get bored of that too 😱 ...a monkey or Ruckus as 2nd bikes is the best option really..
I’ve been trying to decide between the monkey or a ruckus. I’ve had a ruckus before (a 2017 model) and the seat was a torture device. I’m heavily leaning towards a monkey
Highway speeds around Austin range from 10 mph to 85 mph. When drivers get to do 85 they’re still angry about the 10. I’ll stick to backroads around here.
Enjoyed your thoughts comparing it to the Ruckus. I've owned and done trips on the Trail 125, Trail 110, '23 Grom and Navi. Of all of them I enjoy the Navi the most which surprised me. Never been on a Ruckus but it strikes me with the same appeal in it's simplicity. Interesting what you said about getting out of the way on the Ruckus compared to the Monkey. Good point also about the level of commitment and true sense of adventure to take off on the Ruckus. Well said. In that sense there is no better adventure bike 😂 The Monkey does have one sweet seat, that is for sure. That is one thing I hate about the Grom. Both the firmness and the sloped shape which keeps moving you forward. Overall the ergonomics of it are all wrong for multi day trips. For me anyway.
Imma pretty big dude, pushing 250lbs and I love my 2022 Monkey.
Cheers from Gatlinburg, TN
Pretty country up there. Cheers!
I also weigh 250lbs.
What is your top speed?

Very nice video. Hopefully picking up my 23’ Trail 125 later this week. The monkey is such a fun little cousin in the mini-moto family.
Congratulations! I looked at those and they are sweet. You’ll have a blast on. It, I’m sure.

Most comfortable seat Honda has ever made, too.
Great video...Love my Monkey...Subscribed....Cheers Dean (MONKEY DIX ADVENTURES)

It would be cool to convert one to an adventure bike.
Check out the Kawasaki Z125.
It has firmer forks than the Grom and feels 'roomier'.
I like the grom but went with the Honda monkey the grom looks cool
Great video! Have a 21. Most enjoyable bike ive ever owned.

The Grom is the perfect bike for the motorcycle endorsement class.
Bought a 2024 today, had many bikes over many year but nearing 70 years old so time to scale things down, can’t wait for warmer days. Thanks from 🇨🇦
Congratulations and have fun!
looks like a fun bike to ride thanks for sharing your wife bike and have a wonderful weekend
Thank you. Good times.
Thanks for the tip on the Ruckus airbox.
love your videos, you would be a blast to ride with.
Thanks, Tracy!

Thanks! The Monkey and Ruckus are actually camping bikes. She rides a Vulcan 900 and puts most miles on that.

The Monkey seat is pretty amazing. Not really any upgrades I can think of that will fix the Ruckus seat.
More monkey videos please ❤❤❤❤
I have done several 100 mile adventures on my Honda Monkey 125 2019 Its ok at on the highway at 60mph

how tall are you? what do you weight?
Well, the seat height is 30.6 in and my wife is 5’2” and can handle it. I’m 5’10” and can easily flat foot it. The carrying capacity is 231 lbs.

People have done long trips on the Grom before. Many breaks I suppose is the way to do it. Thanks for the comment.
Nice video
Thanks
I like the monkey so much i,m going to buy two
It is a sweet little bike.
Lol 1 line is a liter...one liter of gas is like 40 miles🤣
When you’re just cruising, absolutely. Not quite so good when you keep the throttle pinned, though.
i really like that jacket mister.
nice video im thinking of getting one for the wife. how tall is your wife how does she feel riding it? my wife is 5"3 tnx
It would be a good bike for her at 5’3”. Very comfortable ride.
