The lady who Paulie killed is Minnie Matrone. She's not Johnny Sack's mom, but rather is just a lady from Paulie's neighborhood he grew up with. The other lady (Cookie) is the mother of that school principal, a kid Paulie grew up with. Once again, no mob connection. Paulie threatened him earlier when his mom and Minnie Matrone were shunning Paulie's mom (Nucci) and excluding her from their group at Green Grove.
yes, that whole plot arc was not very important. they put alot of time into Johnny sac and paulys relationship and this was a payoff? we know paulie is a sociopath but I guess this tells us that he is not loyal...again a sociopath. just a lame cash MacGuffin. its ok, but just now up to sopranos caliber.
Guys the thing with Paulie is this...Paulie was so upset about Tony and the guys not looking after him and his mom more while he was locked up (plus some other stuff) that he formed a friendship with Johnny Sac to get in good with the NYC Family. (Or so he thought. Johnny was just using him to get information about the New Jersey Family) Johnny even said he was putting in a good word to the boss Carmine for Paulie. After that Paulie really started feeling himself thinking he had a big future with the big New York family if he got too fed up with not getting what he wanted from Tony and friends. Meanwhile, Tony is suspicious that Paulie might be the one that has been giving away family secrets to New York (he knows somebody is). Silvio tries to warn Paulie that Tony's not really feeling him and all his B.S. lately and Paulie blows up all arrogantly because he's feeling like they don't do enough for him and he might be Mr. New York in the future anyway. When it hits him in the face that Carmine doesn't have a clue who he is at the party he realizes Johnny has just been playing him for information and he has no place in the New York family. That's when he decides he better start back kissing Tony's butt before it's too late. He robs the old folks home to get a big envelope for Tony and winds up killing the old lady in the progress.
That was one scene that Tony Sirico (Paulie) begged David Chase to change. Since Tony was connected in his youth, he was very concerned about how that scene would be received in his old neighborhood. Obviously David Chase didn’t change the scene and Tony was worried over nothing. Tony Sirico agreed to take the role of Paulie with one condition. They could do whatever they wanted with the character as long as Paulie NEVER TURNED RAT.
Tony Sirico (Paulie) Hated filming the scene where he suffocates the old lady, he actually fought with the director to try to change the scene but the production team wouldn't budge

Woo hoo, you cheered me up today. Trying to fly out of Columbus this evening to go see my mom, she is not doing well at all. Sat in airport but did not check in because of numerous delays in the weather system. (Did not check my bags) Sure enough, the last delay came through for me to change my flight. So I will try again tomorrow. One less day with my mom. So sad, but glad I saw you had anoter Sopranos Reaction episode up. You have made my day. Love you my friends.
Asia, it sounds like you think the woman that Paulie killed was Johnny Sacks mom?? It's not it's just a friend of Paulie's own mom from the old folks house!!!
You guys are the bright spot in my day 🥹 My healths been giving me problems so when I see a new upload from you’ll it makes me happy. I know you two do this for as a career but just know you out here giving people a much needed distraction from everyday life. ✌🏻
That was not Johnny Sac's mother. It was one of the old lady's at the retirement home who bullied his mother. Just a lady he grew up around. The other son was a school principal that Paulie grew up with. This was just a lady his mom knew. He knew she had a stash and tried to sneak in and rob her, but she caught him and started yelling for help ...
Furio almost shoved Tony’s head into that propeller. Little Carmine destroys the English language. Carmine in real life was a guy called Tony the Lip. His story was made into a film called “Green Book.” Check it out.
Agreed. I think there's some of the greatest acting in history from Edie Falco and Jim Gandolfini in that episode. I'd say it's a toss up between Whitecaps and almost any of the final eight episodes(all of which are mini-masterpieces) for the greatest episode ever. Pine Barrens is great, but it's more of a bottle episode and isn't as deep or dark, or meaningful as some other episodes.
And she's a mooch. She wants a loyal guy with money and power she thinks she can control and leach off of. I mean, she's still looking for hidden cash stashes in her momma's house😂
It is imperative to understand that using a spirit board is not recommended as you may not be aware of who or what you are communicating with. Furthermore, it is of utmost importance that specific prayers are recited after the usage of the board. Failure to do so can result in the door between the worlds remaining open, which can have unforeseeable consequences. Thus, it is highly advised to avoid using spirit boards altogether to ensure one's safety and well-being.!
You should go and have a look at Josh at After Work Reactions. Very similar, genuine, chilled vibe. Try it, you won't regret it, especially if you like comedy.
19:30 Don't forget, ghosts are real in the Soprano-verse... When Tony and his crew were at someone else's funeral, the ghost of Pu$$y was reflected in a mirror for a few moments 🙈🙈🙈🙈
He knew it was right up to the point of no return. Either he or Tony had to go. So he made the wise choice and went home before he fully crossed that line.
Next episode - Whitecaps - is the best episode IMO. An absolute acting tour de force that will have you on the edge of your seat but not for any reason you may think.
I know you're still going through this one. But I thought I would throw out another for you to consider.. IF you get time try out Reacher (the series).. It is pretty good and BJ will end most episodes hyped up and ready to rumble lol
Jesus I totally forgot about Janice manipulating grieving children to snare Bobby. Tony is a malicious dumpster fire too, but even he leaves kids alone.
Bigtime shoutout from the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. LOVE YOU GUYS! For real. Your both are funny as hell and we really like watching this again , but, this time with y'all. Peace and love. Wishing all the best for you in 2024. Later.
Phil Leotardo (Frank Vincent) was my favorite character because the shit he used to say and his temper tantrums were hilarious 😆. Richie Aprile was nuts
So after Tony was dumped by Svetlana he then went and "dumped" Dr Melfi! Another aspect of his duplicitous nature, similar to when he beat the cop after saying he was cool with him seeing Tony's ex or any other countless time he's said one thing and then acted in the complete opposite way.
Maybe you missed it. But when Bobby and Janice have eaten the last of Karen's food, something supernatural happens. Also look closely at the wine glasses #Ghost
Paulie bought that envelope to get back in good with Tony because he realized Johnny Sack had been lying to him about telling Carmine about him and stringing him along thinking they were gonna take Tony out. He felt like a fool for blabbin Soprano family business with nothing to gain now. Lol
What Janice did to Bobby made me hate her even more. She's a disgusting person. I like how this show is a series of things that almost happen which would affect the entire trajectory of the show. Melfi ALMOST tells Tony that she was raped, Furrio ALMOST kills Tony, Meadow ALMOST spills the beans about Furrio. So many other events that nearly took place but never did.
32:46 Paulie is entertaining, but he's a really slimy dude. He hears the 'Silver Girls' talking about how one of them still keeps her money under the mattress & decides to rob her. After the conversation with Silvio, & realizing that Johnny Sac was playing him about Carmine, he wants to get back into Tony's good graces with fat envelope.
I hate to say this but it takes a certain level of intelligence to be able to detect Little Carmine's ridiculoussness...pretty obvious it was flying over your heads.
Paulie: Murders an old lady in cold blood and robs her life savings
“Hehe, back in business T😀”

Janice off the chain, fr fr
Carmine Jr.'s efforts to sound intelligent are always hilarious.
Very allegorical
Versails
the real secret genius...
De something
Your brother Billy whatever happened there.....
Tony Sirico (Paulie) Hated filming the scene where he suffocates the old lady, he actually fought with the director to try to change the scene but the production team wouldn't budge
Can you hear Paulie screaming in his own head, “oh the beTRAYal!” Lmao when he found out carmine didn’t know who he was from a can of paint!

Janice running that Livia 2.0 Manipulation Master game on poor Bobby 😂

"Have you thought about flooring yet?" I just now caught that.
Asia. The song at the end of episode 12 is Annie Lennox ‘Little Bird’. Your voice would be brilliant for it.
It's a great song. Especially the extended dance version.Annie Lennox throws down!
@pampennyworth
It was featured in the Demi Moore movie "Striptease" along with 2 or 3 other Annie Lennox songs. Great soundtrack.✨️
@@deborahcornell171 I’ve never seen that movie. Thanks 👍

BJ: They more like the Silver Girls" LMAO
Love me some Sopranos with Asia and BJ!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALRIGHT. LET'S ROCK ANOTHER ONE, GUYS!
Thanks!
Janice wants to weasel her way into power...Ritchie Aprile, Ralphie, Bobby
And she's a mooch. She wants a loyal guy with money and power she thinks she can control and leach off of. I mean, she's still looking for hidden cash stashes in her momma's house😂
“Calling All Cars” is one of my favorite episodes, I love the way it showcases Tony’s subconscious eating at him.

"I wanna go somewhere where they play a harp while you eat. Where they do that at?" Hysterical!!
So happy seeing this hit my notifications I almost sat on my girlfriend's 🐕😂
You guys are my favorite reactors hands down, I can tell you're just really cool people to be around. Thanks for sharing these moments with us.
You should go and have a look at Josh at After Work Reactions. Very similar, genuine, chilled vibe. Try it, you won't regret it, especially if you like comedy.
The old lady Paulie killed was not Johnny Sac mother. She was just friends with Paulie's mom.
18:03 I see you Karen moving that wine glass around. They shouldn't have touched yo ziti
😱😱💀💀
I'm on episode 13 of season 5, I came out to watch my favorite couple Asia and BJ ❤❤
Right and went back in and starting watching where I left off season 6 episode 12..almost done unfortunately 😪
I like when these drop quickly one after another. 👍🏼👍🏼
19:30 Don't forget, ghosts are real in the Soprano-verse... When Tony and his crew were at someone else's funeral, the ghost of Pu$$y was reflected in a mirror for a few moments 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Another great episode that I liked, commented have been subscribed for a while and rang the notification to All!! For my favorite channel on TH-cam 💙
Next episode James Gandolfini and edie Falco put on the greatest acting performance ive ever seen
I was so disappointed when Furio left. But it made sense, in the long run. He was playing with fire .
He knew it was right up to the point of no return. Either he or Tony had to go. So he made the wise choice and went home before he fully crossed that line.
out of all the background posters, jim Carrey has the win in numbers
The next episode is amazing .. can’t wait for you guys to watch it !!
You know Silvio ,runs bada bing is Springsteen guitar player,Steven van zant
Pretty much Johnny sack played Paulie like a fool, or more like a… Harp😂
Played him like a harp in a posh lunch establishment 😂
“Hoooooh! Im just telling you yooou!” Sil is the funniest character ever
Man, those old women taking the sugar reminded me of mother. 😂
"You were always a little bastard!...Aaahhhrrr!"
Next episode - Whitecaps - is the best episode IMO. An absolute acting tour de force that will have you on the edge of your seat but not for any reason you may think.
Man oh man, Edie Falco in that episode
I agree. The best over all 6 seasons.
That woman is not Johnny's mom. She's just someone from the neighborhood when Paulie was a kid.
Song playing on the car radio in Tony’s dream is “Tears of a Clown.” Tracks his “I’m the sad clown” comments to Melfi.
Brainless the 2nd (Carmine Lupertazzi Jr) has some classic idiot one liners. Especially in seasons 5 and 6 :D
I know you're still going through this one. But I thought I would throw out another for you to consider.. IF you get time try out Reacher (the series).. It is pretty good and BJ will end most episodes hyped up and ready to rumble lol
BJ, goomar is a main side girl and Fon gol is "Up your a$$"
Did I just say leg? 🤣
I have really come to love your channel. Thanks for your hard work brother.
37:20 yeah Johnny told Paulie “he thinks of you” making him think Carmine knew of him

Woo-hoo!
Janice is playing with the childrens' minds to try to get her way. Evil.
The mom Paulie killed is NOT Johnny's mom just so you know
My night is saved!
How in the hell did you guys come to the conclusion that Johnny Sac's mom was the lady Paulie snuffed out??? Lol

I was 😳when I saw Pauline kill that old lady. Ofc his was always a vile murdering psycho but that was next level evil
Not Johnny’s mom. Love Sopranos reactions❤
Johnny Sack was playing Pauly the whole time just to get information out of him.
Love you guys!
what happened to Gary Cooper, the strong silent type?
he returned to Naples as the only character to leave the show without being killed off!

Svetlana might only have one leg, but she is beautiful.
Thanks
Asia & BJ much appreciated. 🫶
30:24 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Paulie murder has nothing to do with the Johnny Sack/Carmine situation.
Pay attention to "Little" Carmine's butchering of the language when he tries to sound smart. It's pretty comical.
It's not Johnny's mom just a lady from his neighborhood.
Another example of David Chase reminding the viewers that these guys are truly despicable at heart.
Finn looks like a banana.
It keeps getting wilder lol

Such a fckng amazing show
Janice really is the worst!
Get ready, season 5 is the best.
That's not Johnny's mom.
Y’all are over analyzing Janice. She’s looking for a meal ticket-plain and simple.
I hate to say this but it takes a certain level of intelligence to be able to detect Little Carmine's ridiculoussness...pretty obvious it was flying over your heads.

I really wanted Carmella and Furio to get together. She ended up stuck with Tony😅 Great reaction ❤
That is death he’s poor and has to live in hell for eternity with his mother.
How do you guys miss so many of the details of these episodes?
