2:09 I didn’t know about this one but I noticed that a prompt about overriding user customizations would pop up when adding/editing related lists in the page layout editor. Cool!

Yep! If the system admin makes changes using the page layout editor, a user's related list preferences set via Personal Settings may be overriden. As an end user, you can just set your preferences again when this happens. :)
