    those before and after pictures really gave a proper perspective on the end result. Can't wait to get some of mine tumbled up one of these days..

    Those look fantastic!!
    We were visiting friends in mississipi this week, they said you can find it just about anywhere theres a creek. We walked out in their woods to the creek and came back with pockets full of awesome pieces!
    Now i need to learn to polish them.
    May have found a new hobby 😎

    I have the same model tumbler as yours. Only difference is mine has a second unit that when mounted side by side the drive roller can connect to the secondary unit and roll a second drum simultaneously. The other drum is split 50/50. Great tumblers.

    You have enough petrified wood there? JK. Awesome video Mark, I love pet wood, shame I don't have any nearby sources but that just means I'll have to plan a trip to some where that does!

    I let rocks tumble in the same grit for like three or four weeks before changing grit. Seems to work for me. Need to get some of those ceramic bits though.

    I think I've seen some in Maryland that I thought might be fossil but they look identical to a few of your pieces thanks for sharing 👍

    Great job on your selections! They turned out spectacular. What's next on your list of things to tumble?

    I'm new to this. How do you decide when to put the plastic pellets into the drum?

    • @RockHunterMark
      @RockHunterMark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are not plastic grit, but grit made by poly plastics. Sorry so confusing.

  • @alicemiller3139

    So you tumbled for 7 days for each stage? No burnishing?

    • @RockHunterMark
      @RockHunterMark  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes , sometimes I just change the load on time and it runs a bit longer.
