thank you for making such approachable and kind Dark and Darker content! I have always loved your stuff and you continue to make really quality vids! Thank you blinn!
You gotta respect the crouch spam in normals, it's the law. Glad to see fighter warlock relations healing too, I've been playing a lot of platelock BoC warlock this wipe since it's pretty good against both rogues and barbs which is a solid 70% of solos.
agree that rogues and barbs are definitely the majority of solos.. and also agree that things are chilling out with warlocks a bit too! less curse & phantomize, more BoC melee and fun counter-play potential :) and even warlock players can be nice to Timmys, it's great to see!

The other day teamed up with 2 other dudes to seek down a ruby silver minmaxxer. Unfortunately, we didn't find him. We did kill Lich tho and another guy joined us
@ @fesko-ly1wr thank you guys for the kind words! I've played tonight with a different mindset, trying to not get attached to my gear, I died several times but managed to kill 3 players. The game felt way better not worrying about losing my gear, and I'm starting to feel confident about pushing for fights ♥
I wasnt sure where else to ask this but, have you also been having trouble blocking morningstars like I hear them hit my shield and I do get staggered but it still damages me quite alot and im pretty sure most of the time its not the head clipping over the top of the shield but im not sure and its frustrating fighting all these clerics im having more trouble fighting clerics than barbarians funnily enough lol
I've thought a lot about this over the past months of the game and I think it is the morning star reaching over/past the shield and hitting your head. there are two important factors: 1) what you see on your screen is not what your opponent sees on their client. they are ahead of you in time, meaning you are looking at the past. their attacks have already begun and likely have already hit you by the time that data reaches the server and is sent to your client. so you have to already be in a blocking position to have the best chance to block the attack -- you can't wait to see their animation and react, that's too late. your shield needs to be in the right spot BEFORE you see their attack start. this is very difficult 2) the morning start has a very generous and low-sitting handle hitbox that will hit & damage you early in their swing if you are too close. this handle hitbox is easy to block (because it's soo large/accessible) but again your shield needs to be up for the block to register, you can't wait to react. this large, low hitbox has a very fast attack swing, since it protrudes to far and becomes active quickly in the swing. often times this is the part that hits my player over my shield, but then also hits my shield and causes the stagger. try running perfect block to at least be able to interrupt their attack combo, even if you do get hit!
@@YourBoyBlinn ay thanks for the reply I knew this would be a good place to find information about blocking but uh anyways Ill try and do my blocks earlier and see if that helps and I also dont mind running perfect block because thats a fun build anyways thanks again
I've started running Repoze's Lantern Shield and War Hammer set, but with Spell Reflection. I had a nuts raid oast night where I beat a Longsword Fighter almost immediately followed by a Crossbow Ranger. Woof. They didn't have much in the eay of gear, but at least I came out ahead on heals. I even spell reflected Explosion twice onto a Wizard. It's fun.
Timmy here looking for advice I wanna play fighter as I’ve played a lot in barbarian and find fighter a bit more challenging and fun but I play a lot of solo and come across a ton of warlocks and advice on how to deal with them? I know about using the bow to deal with them at range but is there anything else that I’m particularly missing I find them extremely frustrating to play against no matter what class I play as but espically on fighter bc of the magic damage
Me and my friend have been bringing in nothing and running down geared teams as barb. Trying to ruin there runs. One of us survives sometimes and extracts the normals bis.
Really missing those sub 25 squire lobbies with my total 30 hours. Its fun building 124 kits and playing, but I am constantly 1-2 bad rounds from going bankrupt. This was pretty cathartic lol.
@@YourBoyBlinn Me going in with what i consider pretty good gear (500GS) getting 3 tapped froma guy in full unique/legendary lol. They spent 15k i spent 5k. :( big sad
Thanks for this. I'm a 56 year old disabled player. It's love/hate for me. Even tho I'm higher fame, Im not very good. Especially now when so many very high level, skilled players are going around killing everyone. That's what prevents new players from lasting. If I use a non ranged barb, i can't catch them so the ranged & spell pvp kills me. If I'm ranger the up close kills me. If fighter/shield user, they stab around it. I try so many build variations based on recommendations but seems each pvp outsmart s it or renders it powerless. Had same issue with rocket league smurfs so i quit. Why don't games have a system to more fairly pair up players? Especially if a level 30/fame 30 has 6 kills of much higher level players in the feed there's something fishy. Sorry to rant but I don't want to stop playing.
I hear ya, for sure. this game is not easy to get a foothold in, especially PvP. just keep experimenting & trying new things until you find a class/playstyle that gels with your preferences and get some decent early results.. try not to get too discouraged, every great player is only that way because they have died 5000 times :)
In your other video you said that a higher rarity mace took up too much of the Gear score, do you still stand by that, or are you valuing the higher rarity mace more noe?
in a build like this where I'm intentionally taking a poor chest armor and common helmet, there is more room in the gearscore for a rare weapon! but if I was actually minmaxxing for 124, I would use a common weapon and spend all my gearscore on armor and jewelry!
Finally, im loosing my interest in this game becuse i always get the L. No matter what, sure im bad, hella bad, but people who have like 500 hours or more shouldnt play against my 60. Now for real, why no rank system with kda and play time?
totally understand your frustration! imagine fighting someone who has 3600 hrs! those guys kick my butt haha.. really wish IM cared more about the new player experience!
Learn the swing pattern of each weapon type and where you need to direct your shield towards to block it. It can help to swing it a few times yourself to see where each attack comes from, and you can practice blocking with a friend, since you can get a lot of different weapons from the squire for free.
Man me and my buddy have been doing this double rogueing and its been two teams we cant get. A double.druid comp and a ranger fighter comp where the ranger brings in gear for the fighter and we cant do anything
I need your help with some 124 bullies in the ruins. I think the guys name is “WkeyToWin” he is a wolf barbarian and he is in a 3 man and they basically just come in and kill everyone on the map all day long I cant even get a game in that map. I know you don’t do 3 man but keep a look out for the name. I honestly think they are cheating because the rogue on their team was without armor or any chest gear and the rest was squire and I was fully kitted with a war maul, brew master, drank ale and smite and hit him 4 times in the chest and I died then checked his screen and he was full health. Keep your eyes peeled!
Doesn’t “Smurf” mean a person who pretends to be new to the game? I don’t think the guys here were trying to pretend. They were straight up screaming “Im playing this game day and night, run timmies” with their gear. The only one smurfing was our boy blinn it seems
IMO a smurf is someone who intentionally plays in a lobby or game mode that is below that player's skill level, with the intention to more easily kill lesser experienced players. understandable if you've got a different definition ;)
Plot twist the only Smurf is you. Seriously though when I first started out, say first 20 hours, it was easy to understand min/maxing, crafting and all that jazz. These guys just might know or have looked up how it all works and best builds because that’s what everyone else does(I did it on your channel lol), but might have not high hours enough to feel the need to go higher or some are usually broke and only have the gear sets for 124. I don’t think it’s fair to say all people who do are just smurfs wanting to stomp on lower levels just because they have certain items and stuff they could’ve either earned or farmed for. Or bought for cheap. I know because I was a low hour Timmy who did these things lol. Though not saying there aren’t any smurfs. Definitely are, just think it’s blown out of proportion. Also I don’t think it was smart of the game to take out 24 score lobbies. All the very new players are just forced in with people who still have low hours in grand scheme but still higher than the very new ones but still not enough to advance into higher tiers. And sure there were Smurf’s who did go to 24, but not as much as an entire 1-124 gear score bracket lol. I didn’t have too hard of a time when I first started, but now I can imagine it is. Though you probably understand this and just used the title as clickbait lol, because you do give out videos for 124 min maxing and best builds
you make good points! not everyone who wears crafted gear is smurfing, and there are lots of bloodthirsty players that never wear crafted gear. I'm just playing the averages, and in my experience, the people wearing copper/cobalt have a significant advantage in the 124 lobby and I don't feel bad showing them aggression. overall just a little experiment to see what kinds of people are in 124s now that IM has foolishly culled the squire lobby :(
Only watched the first 6 mins. But isn't going to treasure room in GC a bit out of place for what you said you wanted to do? Find and help new players, and punish min-maxers who are trying to stomp noobs? I don't think you'll find many noobs mining gold, or people that are just out to kill noobs.
