Use of a Scoop Stretcher

  • This video is part of a new series of basic clinical skills videos.
    It demonstrates how to use a scoop stretcher to extract a patient. This can be used for patient transfer or to extract a patient from a confined location where logrolling or straight lifting isn't possible. A scoop stretcher can be used to move a patient onto a spinal board or other stretcher type.

    Good video but next time filming do not place someone right in front of camera. Because the one who slides one side of strecher under patient is visible but the one holding the legs and pelvis and how he does that is not visible.
    Show before how to hold patient and then place someone right in front of camera.

    The man at the back on blue shirt could have supported the pelvic area by crossing arms with the other guy (in white shirt) while turning the victim. Good vid tho 😀
