Hello Monkey Troop! Have you been to Bruges or has this video made you interested to go? Please give the video a thumbs up since it really helps us and is appreciated!
@SuitcaseMonkey thanks for your videos you inspired me to do the Lake district years back after watching your video. Now I get to visit Brugge and I came here. Am looking for the links to the walking tour
Went to see Coldplay in Brussels last August but we popped down to Bruges for the day. Blew me away, beautiful place and without a doubt the best chocolate I've had
Great video we are off to brussells next week with plans to go to bruges and ghent for the day. This has got me even more excited and good knowledge how best to spend our day
I was planning to go to Bruges from long time.. I think this 10mins video explain everything. Thanks very much for your information. The reason i like your channel is , you explain everything detail but in Short form.. very less people got this ability..keep it up👍
Great Vid. I was "In Bruges" back in 2013. This vid brought back some nice memories. We drove from London (via ferry) and it took 7 hours door-to-door. Once in Bruge, it was easy to use the train to visit Brussels and Ghent.
I went and saw the Historium while I was there and it was wonderfully tacky. Bruges at Christmas has to be one of the best journals you've done. Very impressive
Hi, what a nice video! I live in Bruges and I love seeing this kind of videos because I sometimes forget how beautiful my city is 😻 glad you had a nice time!
I’ve been offline for a bit but back watching your vids. I’m sold on Bruges but going to book a hotel far out of town so I can eat all that chocolate and cake. Yum. Cheers guys
This is one of our stops on an upcoming NCL Cruise. I had no idea it was such a charming place. I am looking forward to experiencing all that Bruges has to offer. Thanks for the great video. Good editing. It flows well.
@@mvl8209 We did a LAND cruise last spring; IceLAND, IreLAND, EngLAND, and ScotLAND. Unfortunately, we could not get the same itinerary. No plans to go back to the continent...yet.
Definitely Colin Farrell. But, I like your Bruges much, much better. So lovely. You guys are a dab hand with your camera. Too bad Colin didn't eat any chocolate. His Bruges would've looked happier. Glad you went for the Xmas season. Looked yummy!
Hello, I live in Bruges and I have a Guestsuite Lady Anna Bruges in the center of Bruges and I’m happy to give the link of your video as an introduction of their visit. Thanks.
I know I'm late, but I just stumbled on this amazing video of the place where I live ;) 1) Just a bit of info: it's not pronounced "mini water" but more like "min uh water".) The verb "minnen" is old, and as far as I know it's not used anymore. A variant on it, "beminnen", does get used a bit (not often, but at least it gets used once in a while). Both "minnen" and "beminnen" mean the same: to love 2) If you ever come back to Bruges and want to visit more places that offer a lot of beers, you should visit either 't Brugs Beertje, or 't Poatersgat. Both are cozy places that also have a huge beer list ;) 3) I also *absolutely love* the fact that you put so much focus on walking! Bruges isn't big indeed, and you get to enjoy the atmosphere and visuals of the city much more than if you'd drive around (car/bus/bike..) Plus, it's great that you did a mix of typical touristy stuff (boats, Belfry, guide tour...) AND less touristy locations (like the windmills) You got lucky that you came 3 years ago, because after that, the city decided that the "outdated" wooden booths on the Christmas market had to be modernized. They replaced them by black containers, made it so it becomes a booth and that's it :( I really enjoy watching this, as I can see how beautiful it was so short ago.
Love this! I went to Europe last month and skipped Bruges because I already went to Amsterdam and thought they are a bit similar. This video definitely convinced me otherwise its now in my top bucket list!
Your video is getting me excited to visit Bruges. We will be trading our tropical weather in Guam for cold weather in Europe from November 2022 to January 2023.
Bruges is difanately our top 10 bucket list to visit in Europe. The city is so beautiful it feels like your walking in a medieval era. Love the beautiful country of Belgium 🇧🇪
Best video I’ve seen on here of Bruges, Great info 👌 I definitely want to go and would love to spend Xmas eve and day here 😍 not sure what’s available to do here on the big day 🤔
Xmas eve & day themself are not the best moments to be here (there probably will be a few cafes or parties, but don't really count on it). Shops close earlier (or even the entire day), even the Christmas market closes earlier those days. Most people don't go out to celebrate, they stay at home with family and/or friends
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
As a Belgian I approve this nuanced and correct image of pur lovely historical city! Tip: do NOT count on flawless, strictly timed trains...we re not Switzerland. WE have " vertraging" delay ...
So much chocolate!!! I went to Bruges for a day trip from UK years ago for the Christmas markets, they were so festive! New to your channel, subbed and looking forward to seeing more 🥰
Hi there and welcome! I post once every 6 weeks or so, so please enjoy our back catalogue until the next one. Working on a new London video at the moment. Thanks for your support. 😀
I've been three times, October 2018 and August (on my birthday) and November 2019. I'm planning to go again next year. Brilliant place to visit. It's also impossible to go there and not buy/eat chocolate and beer. I've tried, but didn't succeed.
All my videos are shot on iPhone. I always put which one in the description. This was XS I think. I’ve even made a video about how I shoot on smartphones
Yup, to save on the amount of trucks driving back and forth (but that pipeline system is only from 1 brewery: De Halve Maan). It is a positive for: - the environment (less noise, less reparations needed to the streets...) - the other environment (less CO2 and other gasses) - cost efficiency (pumping liquid through a pipe is much cheaper than multiple trucks a day) The brewery is in the city center, and the bottling plant is outside the city center.
A bit late but maybe useful for other visitors : in Belgium dogs (and other pets) are not allowed inside businesses (shops, restaurants, etc, ...) selling food. However, if the weather allows it you can sit outside on the terrace with your dog. In other places, it depends.
I found bruge to b a lovely city, but extremely over priced. 14 euro to see the belfry tower from the top was insane prices. 29 euro for breakfast which was continental was insane. Not much nightlife only in certain streets. Id spend 2 days max here
Im a penny pincher at heart and i find it spooky at how much it cost just to lay my head down for a few hours in a hotel ot motel....they are making bank on their prices for a room no matter what country it is .....lol...

You two are hilarious. Straightforward. Thanks.

Best Bruges video I have seen so far. Thank you!
At The Old Fashioned Chocolate house, just did the canal tour in the rain, am SO looking forward to this!
At 0:12, Colin Ferrell also played Gellert Grindelwald (but in disguise form as Percival Graves) in Fantastic Beasts movie.
Ha! In Bruges is definitely put the city on my radar for a day trip
You’ll be wanting to come back after spending a day there! Easily one of my favourite cities 😍

The "minne" in Minnewater doesn't mean love though but rather it would have a more mundane, geographic and/or administrative origin.
Great place to travel and awesome place to walk as well. Great work.
I just Discover you and now I See you went to my hometown. Remember I come along in 3 weeks to London 👍

Bruges, Ghent and Dinant are far more beautiful than Amsterdam, very different. Especially Dinant is stunning.
"a bit similar" Both have canals, that's where the similarity ends.

Yes,as a fellow Belgium I agree with everything here.
That is if the trains are running at all, if there isn't another "staking / grève" (strike). Though strikes are more a Wallonian speciality.
Thanks for this video. I took notes. I will be there next year!
