Great video. My wife and I visited Bruges a few years ago on a day trip from Amsterdam. My wife was pleasantly surprised (she wasn’t anticipating much from my description of it and my enthusiasm for it). We were both in awe of Bruges’ beauty, astounded by the transformation back in time. It feels surreal being there, magical even. One day is not nearly enough, so we’re going back in a couple of months to stay for about three days. Looking forward to visiting again.
Thank you for the kind words 🙏 That’s always the best-your expectations being exceeded 😊 I completely agree! If you didn’t see the cars and computers in stores you’d think you traveled back in time haha. How exciting you get to go again! If you haven’t already tried the place we had lunch, definitely go and get the stews! It may be the most delicious stew I’ve ever had 😋😋
that's why i fall in love with your content.. best history and food review of course.. for you two the best ever.. thanks for this episode. .i love it !! God Bless you guys.. 😘😘😘 ..
Thank you so much! Such a beautiful place with great food and beer! Ah, I'm jealous you were there in the summer! It must be even better 😍 Where are you going next?
What a pretty video, can’t deny the look of great food with Maria’s eyes it was clearly delicious. I love walking around old buildings, the architecture is fabulous. Really lovely video, enjoy your travels ladies
Brugge is really a beautiful city to visit. So much interesting history and art. As I already mentioned, Belgium has over 3.000 different beers and I remember trying at least 2 different ones every day (although I'm not an avid beer drinker). Belgian chocolates are absolutely amazing. Thanks for reminding me of the large amount of lace shops there are in Brugge.
We definitely need to go back, it’s such a stunning city 😍 I’m with you on the beer drinking but I feel like once one goes to Belgium they become beer drinkers 😂
Godiva is Belgian but franchised out. Guylian invented the seashell shaped chocolates but they are more mass produced compared to the smaller artisinal chocolatiers.
We don't buy our chocolate like we buy our bread. And especially not with chocolatiers. We buy them occasionally. But certainly not every day. But there are always exceptions 😉
What a nice job it's a very beautiful clip you made I'm just leave it sad that you came and visit these beautiful city but you have never tried my restaurant Medusa which specialised on pizza and a pasta in a very original Italian way and I just hope that you could try it so maybe next time if you come in Bruges you would give me the Shard restaurant Medusa here in Bruges
I’m not a beer drinker but this video sure makes me want to be a little adventurous and try different brands! The food looks delicious. I always look forward to your videos! Maria I loved the kick you did at the end❤
Haha thank you 😂 Bruges had me so happy I had to do a little happy kick. If you go to Belgium you’ll be overwhelmed by the selection of beers, you can definitely be adventures with your choices
Ok so for me (Maria) my favorite season is summer. Being from Greece and having all the beautiful islands and beaches for the summer it’s hard to choose any other season. Even if sometime the heat is a bit too much 😅 As for Olivia she really enjoys a variety and every time a new season begins she’s very excited to experience it. But if she had to choose one it would be the fall. What is your favorite season?
We will be in Bruges in April for the first time. Belgium is the last country for us to visit in Western Europe. Did you have to wear a jacket while you walked around when you were there?
Very exciting! Enjoy 😁 We basically went back and forth from wearing them and taking them off. At night you definitely need it. During the day if there was sun we were fine with just our sweaters, but the sun when in and out.
you 2 are a cute couple and you dont have to be religious to appreciate the architectural and artistic values of old cathedrals/basilicas (and you dont have to be religious to be spritual either). Im glad you enjoyed my country (Bruges is a nice open air museum). Thx for trying the local specialties and not wasting time on tourist traps :)
Thank you 🙏😊 and I definitely agree with you😁 As far as the food, every time we remember about that meal we wish we could have it again 🤤🤤🤤 it was amazing!!!
Thank you 😊 You definitely feel like you got lost in a fairytale in the historic center. We wanted to go to Ghent as well but we didn’t have enough time.
I can't decide whether Bruges is worth visiting. Every video about it on TH-cam shows a canal, a church and a market square. Is that all it is about? Why is no one filming other scenes from the city? It gives me the impression that there is nothing more to see there. Someone please explain it to me.
Brugge was a ferry rich town until the 80 year of war with Spain. When the Spain army came to Vlaanderen the rich people and the very good craftsman went to Delft and Gouda and Amsterdam. And Brugge became a empty town but the city's in the Netherlands became richer and after the war the Golden age of the Netherlands started.
I live in bruges at was cool to see your video, loved the music you put in. By the way Brussels is seen as the most ugly and unsafe part of Belgium. Ghent and Bruges is where it's at. Personally i think the chocolate isn't anything special, but the fries are the absolute best.
I am Dutch living in Antwerpen. And I can positively make a true comment: Belgian cuisine is NOT a mix of Dutch and French cuisine!! Belgium has many dishes copied by their neighboring countries in stead! And if you join all the pieces of wood from the holy cross of Jesus you end up with a forest of crosses ;-) Same for all bones, blood and organs of Jesus .. hahaha he would be a giant towering at a height of the size of the Eifeltower 😛
Thank you for clarifying Hans! Haha yes that’s very true about the Jesus crosses and blood. The saint bone we saw is more believable (than the Jesus blood) since they said the saint lived in the area.
We were quite enjoying your content but do understand that for some people your ‘sneaky’ photo was very disrespectful. There are plenty of sources for you to get a picture if you want to include it in the video.
I love Bruges-Brugge it is my favourite, belgian city after The city of Ghent-GentI Live in East Flanders Belgium not far from both cities

Have fun 🤩😍
Pretty sure the seashell chocolates were invented by Guylian, a Belgian chocolate brand founded in 1958 in Sint-Niklaas.
Nice! Thank you for posting!
Thank you Harsh 😊 Hope all is well!
Godiva is Belgian but franchised out. Guylian invented the seashell shaped chocolates but they are more mass produced compared to the smaller artisinal chocolatiers.
Once we got to the airport we found out about Guylian 😅 we bought a box with a variety of chocolates and truffles and their seashells were best.
We don't buy our chocolate like we buy our bread. And especially not with chocolatiers. We buy them occasionally. But certainly not every day.
But there are always exceptions 😉
What was the name of the pub you all had that meal in?
It’s called Cambrinus :)
I learn so much with your history lessons! Great video !
Thank you Katy 😊 Happy to hear that!
Hey lovely, what equipment you guys used to film this? Quality looks amazing.
Thank you Bianca 😊 The camera is a Sony a7c with the standard lens I comes with (28-60mm and fe 4-5.6).

Milena you’re so sweet 🥹❤️ thank you for your kind words!
Orval is a Trappist beer tripel style (Brewed by monks). Some people call beer "a liquid sandwich" or "liquid lunch" 🙂
Liquid lunch! I love it and it makes a lot of sense 😁
