I have to agree tho that dark beckoning beast, especially without chaos summoning beast, is a good card to play multiples of! You can combo quite a lot (especially with the princess package) with only one dark beckoning beast, where it ends very early if you only open gates. Gates really shines if you draw cards like spirit of Yubel - basically 2 card combinations. Both have a similar purpose in the deck with one depending on the situation - being better than the other one!
That changes with the fiendsmith format and droll becoming a lot more represented in decks! Then gates is a lot better!

the deck lore is so unserious too lmao, like some of the cards talk like they are insecure with how scary they look, how one card is bad at hide and seek lmao, and as the spell suggest they only want to have fun and party, similar to the real life Día de los Muertos where dead is a celebration

Memento is actually one of my favorite decks of the last couple of years. Been playing since it first dropped and can't wait for more support in INFO and beyond. Seen it played a few times at a couple of regionals I've judged at recently.
I think the decks gonna go far heck I wouldnt be surprised if after INFO it will tops a lot

I almost made a memento deck, I got all of the cards buying packs for horus, but I ended up breaking them down to make an enymion deck because I never learned pendulums and I feel like I need at least one deck lol

At the end of Sam's turn 1. You summon fusion search mace & blade...fusion effect to summon and field...summon blade and witch...how you get goblin? And you search off witch when it got ashed in the start of the turn. Made my head hurt. If I missed something explain please.
the fusion search was blade and goblin, then he cheated by searching mace with witch

combos aren't boring if we have a 50 second turn limit. Otherwise, I can't seem to withstand waiting 20 minutes for me to realize I can't play my first turn... Konami needs to know this already lol.
Maxx C and other handtraps is a simple solution to add more cards that still isn't able to fix it without enough cards to help minimize this issue if it's not available by turn 1. If we have a suitable amount of handtraps, it might even make possible to let any card legal. Adding more cards can change the entire format to something more interactible.
