You research through pages upon pages of material to find and get as close to the truth as you can. Well done guys, you have made an outstanding game and a beautiful painting of this time period.
In November 13th, circa 2007 common era Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad stalked the Jerusalem streets, eavesdropped throughout Arce and assassinated those among Damascus.
Patrice Desilets is the GOAT of assassins creed. So far, Bordeaux feels like old Montreal. Assassin’s Creed and Mirage are the only 2 that make you genuinely have a part of the brotherhood. You could make a case for Unity but that’s only for a bit.
And Brotherhood and Unity , without Desilet influence and PASSION , still have that Assassin Influence, bit its CLEARLY not the same cuz Ubisoft has a Greedy for money bision UNLIKE Desilet who has a PASSION for Quality and to create sth authentic and genuine to his goal and NOT primarly for money , like Ubisoft does ! Granted AC 4 dives VERY DEEP into the Assassin's Creed Philosophy which CHANGE Edward for good and actually to be an EVEN better person and ACTUALLY wise , and thAT happened to AC 4's story cuz after Desilte leaving Ubisoft , in 2010 , before Ubi released AC Brotherhood , he went to THQ and some years later in 2013 , if I recall correctly , Ubi hired and acquired THQ SO , pretry much , Desilet WAS the Creative Director for Ubisoft yet again , for AC 4 as WELL , granted it was as an obligation but still , and granted it wasnt the same INFLUENCE and it wasnt the same VIBE as AC 1 and AC 2 but STILL Desilet and his idea and passion about Assassin's Creed and its Philosophy WAS in AC 4 in some way , shape and form and THATS why AC 4 Story AND Protagonist is SOOO good . Thats all
Man, it's always interesting to see, how these old video games, or any video games in general, that you love, were created. I love watching stuff like this. And especially when it is a popular games like Assassin's Creed. I just finished replaying first 3 games, which is AC1, 2 and Brotherhood (unfortunately AC Revelations is not very friendly with Windows 10 for some reason), and seen how these games were made is interesting and informative. All tho I can say that, I don't like some of the stuff that the final version of the game has, especially on PC version of the game, where it is called Director's Cut, but on the practice all you have is copy and paste side quests, instead of more exclusive content. Like, they cut out crossbow, but it would be fun to have it, at least for the PC version of the game. Then there is no free roam mode. So, if you want to explore the world of this game, then you have to replay memory section 6, where you get final upgrade to your gear and skill. And instead of doing quests, you can roam around and explore the world, but that is not actual free roam because, there is still main quests that you have to do. And then the parkour system is all over the place on PC because, it is tight to a camera, which you control with your mouse movement. Thus, when you are running forward, just a slight turn of a mouse to the left or to the right can make your character jump or walk in to the wrong direction. So yeah, just because of all of that stuff that I mentioned, this game needs a full remake, with a modern take on it and fixed issues.
Played Mirage and had to start AC1 again. It has nothing on this masterpiece. Even the controls feel better. Really pathetic what they have done to the franchise.
Nah both are great games. I loved AC with Altair but Origins and Odyssey are amazing too. I have o,ages every AC since launch at launch and love everyone of them.
Origins story was actually really good, hated the rpg engine and odyssey should’ve never been made, that game is so damn terrible I would’ve rather read a comic about it
Every game was and still is 🔥 gota broaden your horizon...games are gonna grow and change and if u really want to enjoy them, you have to grow it them...if u eat the same meal everytime you eat, that meal is going to become lame and expected
Wild, after reading your comment more carefully I realized you were right; they have one of each. Maybe it’s for testing purposes. At the time quite a significant chunk of their audience would probably have had a CRT tv (hooked up to consoles) or even as their computer screen, but LCD screens were becoming more popular/available. Maybe they wanted to make sure it’d look good on both? EDIT: It could also just have been to save money?
Worst stealth assassin game ever made, yet everyone believes this game is so good. Even after several amazing Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid games that were out at this time. I'm sorry but anyone who thinks this game is quality is out of their mind. This game had absolutely no stealth mechanics built in at all. Blending with a crowd felt slow and less realistic than it could have been. No variety in enemy types, and the npcs all looked the same. The npc AI was so predictable and naive. Fist fighting in this game was crap as well. They literally put no real thought into this game at all. They did good with the setting. But this game was stupid. By far the their worst game ever. Assassins Creed 2 did it better. That game felt like the real first game.
It was a first attempt at a new ip. It’s more about assassination then stealth. How much more stealth do you need then walking by and doing a quick hidden blade kill. Or coming up behind an enemy and killing him. Games like MGS and SC are completely different games when compared to AC. Blending into the crowd is suppose to be slow. You are suppose to match the the group or crowd. The whole point of blending in is about not standing out. Again this is a stealth mechanic. Just like running into people and hitting them causes guards to come after you. The combat is fine for the game it’s time. It’s different. The open combat wasn’t the big focus. It was about the hidden blade, the sword combat was amazing. There isn’t any fist fighting. AC One was a huge game. Then was a new ip that did something that hadn’t been done before. It’s of the best AC games made. Yes it had its flaws but it was one of a kind and the first in the series. The AC games got better and better as each game came out. Even Unity was good as a single player game. No game let’s you to interact and take part in real history like the AC games have done. You can say it’s the worst game and that is your opinion. That is fine. But it’s easily the minority. Again you are comparing the first AC to 2 established franchises. Both games had made names for themselves by the time AC was released.
It's almost like creating a new IP with brand new tech that you've never used before while attempting a game of ambitious scope and scale is hard work and shouldn't be expected to have a perfect landing on the first attempt. Jfc if more people thought like you we'd never get new IPs.
The sheer ignorance of this comment, I lost some brain cells reading this. The stealth isn't like Splinter Cell because it wasn't trying to be anything like it. That's literally how Assassins operated during the Crusades. They blended in with MONKS, jumped out of nowhere just for intimidation, then ran away and vanished like a ghost. The blending is realistic because it's difficult. I played the game just fine.
Sucks to be you. Your brain is clearly defective and malfunctional. The way you think and percieve video games is terrible compared to me. My experiences are vastly superior to yours because my mind is far more compatible with video games, storytelling and phenomenal experiences.

Yeah they have a great idea that was really cool at the time. Now a days this can be expanded on more heavily to be twice as expansive.
This is my first ever Assassin's Creed Game that i have played and this game is an outstanding game ever made!! :D
I think that it was most peoples' first AC game considering that it was the very first one.
It is by far the worst game ever made
@@ArchangelExile well all the other games outsold it so that may not be true

Well there’s been like 13 main games so far so that’s not too shocking imo lol.
@Ciel Phantomhive Gokuson you do realize that the comment was posted 2 years ago right?

This game has aged really well. It’s super fucking impressive. The gameplay is so clean.
I love this game my favorite assassins creed games are Ac one through AC origins.
Little did they know that the franchise they made will be the biggest franchise in gaming history

The Archive series of vids is great, but why is the video quality so low even for games that aren't even that old?
Holy crap those computers are old

Good ol Ubisoft.
Made in Canada
Very old
Duh, that's the point of a self professed "archival" channel
They should have made ac2 remaster instead of ac3 remaster
AC2 was already remastered a few years ago
