It was all an illusion created by the sync. In actuality though, the "real" Altair and Ezio would have appeared completely different from each other (let alone looked different from Desmond). So, with that said, perhaps Ezio's actor in Lineage was a more accurate representation on the "actual" character.
Awesome movie. And awesome game. Everything about AC is awesome. I find it interesting how the actor who plays Borgia spoke English so well in the movie (and the game), but here he's speaking French.

I don't know exactly what programs they used, but you could achieve the same effects with a good 3D modeling program like 3Ds Max, a normal editing program like Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, and a more advanced program like Apple Motion or Adobe After Effects. Certainly a ton of motion tracking went into this, and the color correction was awesome, and all the transitions.
5:09 - 5:18, Claudia (Maria Auditore), so casually removing a loose thread or lint off of Romano's (Giovanni Auditore's) shirt and simply fiddling with it while he's talking on camera. Like they're actually an old, married couple or something. lol.
The ending of AC1 literally pissed me off. In my opinion it was not a good cliffhanger... however, AC2 cleared all that up! It redeemed my interest in the storyline... AC3 HAS TO be a modern assassin Desmond... I can't see how they could milk my interest for that ancient scenery any more haha.

Not only do I hope they continue the games, or make it into a movie series, but Id like to see it turn into a book series as well. Maybe write about Desmonds other ancestors they couldnt fit in the game, or even write about the other Subjects. I mean the plot is so frickin huge lol, they could easily make a book series out of it. Which I would love it if they did cus I just cant seem to get enough of Assassins Creed ^.^

Yeah they did, and it is well worth it. The game was fricken AWESOME.....I'm a loyal Halo fan and when I say loyal I mean...(going to sound nerdy) I have brought a master cheif armor set to wear to conventions. But AC2 blew my mind away it left me want...no thats not right, NEEDING more. The store line was fantastic and the lineage movie was a great build up to it. Sort of like the Cortana files and bees for Halo. Lol I'm sort of wrighting a review here which is odd. Lets just say it was AWESOME
People if you think about buying the Assassins Creed series... well then do it. it is sooo deep in story, because it isn't just about killing bad guys, it has a major plot twist wich you absolutly did not see coming except if youre reallly smart

YEEES every since we could free run and use the hidden blade as Desmond, i want to play as him more and Ubisoft has given us that in Brotherhood :D and In AC3 i think that we'll really find out what Abstergo is and who Lucy is! (at the end of AC2 when Lucy said to Desmond "You need to stop him" its kept me wounderinfg.... she said that quickly as if there was something she doesnt wand Desmond to know)

This team did an amazing job of making the entire environment seem so real.
When I first saw Lineage I honestly thought that everything was pure CGI and was amazed by how the characters looked so real. Now I feel stupid LOL.
