I was trying to figure out what that card is for and it seems that it's good sideboard against damage based removal. So really good for the mono red mirror.but also not since in the mono red mirror it's just as good for the opponent.

It's simply amazing against damage based removal. In the Mono Red mirror it's likely to not be so great since it benefits your opponent as well, like you said. In this case we were doomed since Rambo plays a lot of damage based cards. Playing it means you have to be able to out Aggro your opponent. It's a card that can benefit Mono Red players while not being as helpful to their opponents.
