Until recently, when you thought about looking for a tablet, it was pretty much a decision between iPad and Android. Now with Windows 8 and Windows RT, we've seen a number of new tablets on the market over the past couple of months. Another option is the new VivoTab Smart from Asus, which runs the full Windows 8 operating system. This gives it great functionality and compatibility, such as being able to run regular Windows programs. Let's take a look and see how this tablet stacks up...
Now on sale in the UK for £249. Mine arrived today - and I love it!!!
I heard in another video that about 30GB is available for use. But with the SD slot you can expand another 64 which I think is plenty for a tab and I THINK you can use an external HDD with it too if necessary :)
I have this tablet and while you can't do much in the way of gaming on it (what do you expect with a PowerVR SGX 545?) the build quality is actually excellent and the 1.8GHz Atom CPU is plenty for browsing the web or watching Netflix. Of course the Surface Pro is better, but it's also $300 more.
I think your internet is a bit slow or too many ads on the webpage. Took a long time to load. That would explain the slow rendering in IE.
With student discount and no tax, 359.99$ not bad. It is the best tablet for the money.
I have swapped my Surface RT for this one and couldn't be more happy. It's a real shame that Microsoft hasn't release cheaper Surface with Atom on board. Much snappier experience than RT.

It has a microusb but it also comes with a microusb to s full standard usb adapter so no worries.
is it possible to only get the transleeve cover thing without the keyboard?
This should be one of the cheapest Full Windows tablets. tru that the Atom could be stronger. few more editions and the Vivo Tab 2 or 3 should be a great deal if it keeps the price. the age of netbooks and many notebooks is about to end.
I kinda love this tablet! Ever since i've heard about it. And that's from a guy who has a jailbroken iPad 4.
The only downsides are the screen and the processor.
If only I could have windows 8 or android on my iPad! It could be possible right ?
I already have winterboard themes but that's not the same.
Nice review , most of us would meed adequate overall performance , no AutoCAD no big 3d games apps and this one does the rest in excellent top motch
