I think Sunny was very on point. Tate filled in a gap in many young boys’ lives re: how to ‘be a man’ since absentee fathers is such a huge problem in this country.
@@timbredan3476 But then that's like it's almost an excuse to be abusive. So because you grew up without a father or because you were raised by a bad person, that gives you the right to be a horrible person? No it does not. I know that wasn't what she was saying but when you say things like that it sounds like you are giving an excuse. Being abused or being lonely doesn't give you the right to be horrible to other people.
Whoopi voiced all of my frustration: parents aren’t paying attention to what their kids watch on social media because they’re too busy on social media. I go to a restaurant and see way too many tables of kids with tablets while parents are on their phones. Parents clearly aren’t engaging with their kids as much these days. Good parents like Sunny would hear what their kids are watching and have a meaningful discussion about how toxic and unrealistic those videos are. Put the phone down and talk to your kids!
If men feel left behind, they should take some responsibility! It’s wild that a former contestant on Big Brother in the UK has become so well known worldwide.
@@BillBarr4President True positions of responsibility for men have been gutted, dominated by people who see them as innately bad and toxic. College and universities built on ideologies of hatred toward men, especially masculine presenting men. Nobody wants to sit in a classroom and have a purple haired professor preach to you about how naturally evil you are and how you have to be aware of "how much space you take up." Jobs men typically used to be biologically inclined to go for are few and far between, and are tough to build a life on. Men want responsibility, men want to enter society, but at every turn they are shot down in the new trendy system, hence when they turn on their phone and see a popular figure directly addressing these problems for the first time, they flock to him.
@@Sweetoblivious it's funny how the push against toxic femininity doesn't exist...and this is exactly why Tate is so popular..we are trying to feminise the men and make the women masculine
Sunny I TOTALLY agree with you on this subject. Far too many parents aren't asking, watch, educating and instructing their boys, and I am appalled by what I see in today’s males. Additionally, because Roe vs. Wade was overturned, parents MUST have discussion after discussion with their girls about sex as they are the ONLY side in that sex right that ends of being responsible for preventing a pregnancy. I don't care if you must put your girls on birth control at the age of 10, just STOP these unwanted pregnancies.
I work with all black students, Andrew doesn’t only apply to white men. My students feel like straight men don’t have outlets for them. Their words were “if I’m not gay or a woman I don’t matter right now.”
I do not and will never understand why people place him on a pedestal. It is so fucking worrying that many young kids are being brainwashed by his hate and bigotry
You need to open your eyes more and realize that men are struggling. I know it’s it talked about much in the media but look around as see what is happening.
I agree completely with Sunny!! Even in my country a lot of men do not know how to treat and speak or communicate with and to women. A lot of men struggle extremely bad with their emotions. They shut down or turn to bad vices to cope with internal issues. I wonder what are taught in their homes. As a family, healthy communications need to be a priority and not shutting down your kids or emasculate boys and men. As the saying goes, charity starts at home.
Its true. Women choose who they have sex with and most kids are born out of wedlock. Most kids men are raised by single mothers. So ofcourse they will be more on the emotional side since their mothers are raising them. It is what it is.

They actually talk about problems that Tate is trying to solve. For example - responsibility in young men, right values, getting better, which lead to higher self-esteem, which lead to men who feel secure in themselves. These ppl are not going to stay without partners. In reality this will lead to more options. Not sure why Andrew Tate is a hot topic on The View, but their research on him seemed very minimal. This mention on daytime TV is publicity gold for him though.
Y’all do realize the clip they played was completely taken out of context. Andrew does 4hour podcasts and goes in a lot of detail with each topic. If you cherry pick what you want to discuss make sure you have the context behind it.
These guys like Tate will keep coming up and gaining a following because people want to control/dictate how men talk. It's not hard to understand. You say "stop mansplaning" ok that's fine but then you say it to embarass men. And you call masculinity toxic...this is where that gets you 😤 it's obvious.
I heard one sentence from Andrew Tate and immediately hated him. Yet, there are so many guys I know that emulate his beliefs, so two things: he is not the definition of a man and men who see others acting this way should hold them accountable.
But there’s a lot of weak men running around and depressed, ims Ute you see that, and if you only heard one sentence, then you jumped to conclusions, be real, you don’t read only one page of a full story
I’m curious why do you have mixed feelings? As someone studying to be a therapist what Sara said it is a 100 true. @@CristianMetin it wasn’t entirely what she said. I disagree where she said “biological differences.” In my opinions there is no limit to what women are capable of. Neither then nor now. @@vincentbaca790 Are you asking me this or telling me they would, because I don't get from your posting that your asking woman this question. As a woman, I'd tell you NO, there is nothing that would make me want to be a slave or have a master.
Maybe that's you, but any cursory look at society tells you that women love a man that has the resources to provide a great lifestyle to her. What I took from that clip is that if he's providing a lifestyle, then he expects certain things in return. Sounds reasonable to me, if she doesn't like the terms she's within her right to leave.
Sunny is 100% correct here. I’m from the UK and he has the same ‘appeal’ here. I think it’s 100% tied to the loneliness epidemic with young men. Tbh, I think it spans races, I think Tate himself is bi-racial. I think the issue is that some of what he says is ‘motivating’ to young men, I’m referring to financial ambition and fitness. Theses guys see these comments and think he’s correct about these things, so must be correct about everything. That’s where it becomes a problem. Views on women, marriage etc. Even the comments re financial success are extreme talking about billions and those lonely young men who are not wealthy feel in adequate as a result and start blaming society, education and women. The issue is this is being viewed as traditional masculinity where in reality it’s toxic ‘baller’ culture.
I will never be responsible for the toxic upbringing a Man absorbed and learned is normal. Joy is ignoring the foundation of the problem from which his issues come from. Mrs. Sarah you are on the right path.

This Andrew guy is just gross. That said, I do think straight masculine men are feeling like they are being left out and emasculated. I'm just throwing that out there. Also Sara is the greatest panelist this show has ever had (besides maybe Rosie O).
If they don’t agree with his opinions then they should debate him !!!! Because the only way we will reach the truth is by discourse.!!! Because what they quote things he said they don’t say the whole thing he said!!! Which is easy to misconstrued.
Tate is not a real man! Real men are quiet and strong without needing to espouse their beliefs to others 😖 all great points made by some of my favorite people here! 👍
That's sad but i like some of his advice like protecting your woman love your family be healthy work hard never have a criminal records (which is ironic now)
Sunny saying that she had a robust discussion about toxic masculinity with her child is a bit of a reach. Boys his age don’t want to talk to their mum about Andrew tate. 😂😂😂
What if we focus on what we want to create? Putting this much energy into what we don't want anywhere near us doesn't make sense. See the beauty, be the beauty.
The tapping into grievances is soooo true. These guys are teaching that they are being persecuted and rape is " a myth" . I never saw so many new whiny Bs pop up at once
Predators are everywhere and it is those who went through psychological abuse will see through a person such as Tate and recognize who he truly is. This is sad because we know that only some percentage went through narcissistic abuse and they are people who are capable of catching it right away. Those who never went through it will not want to educate themselves on the subject in order t protect themselves which is why so many people support this guy and many others before him. I think this should be thought in school. Many children are raised by manipulative psychologically abusive parents and educational system should be there for them to protect them. This may have helped so many to escape parental abuse. What kids learn today in schools , half of it is pointless and complete waste of time
Who tate really is? Hes a hard working individual who empowers men and motivates them to be the best versions of themselves, he teaches man to respect women and stand up for their beliefs against everyone. All the charges are false, 6 months and still no evidence other than mostly made up victim who have said Tate "allegedly" did things to them, this man believes that god is there to help you and tells them to be religious, sure some of the things hes said has gone a bit too far but in a general retrospect you cant really clal this man bad unless youve been spreaded lies by the mainstream media on how hes 'mysogynistic'
They just made up a new definition of ‘toxic masculinity’ there’s no toxic in be masculine. We need to be strong and looking after the people we love, for example our women. Like he has said numerous of times.
Andrew Tate is just a symptom of a much bigger issue that is prevalent in society. Period. The current identity crisis men are facing at the moment is actually a complex issue but I think the fact that many men are emotionally castrated at a young age is a huge contributor. To be human, is to feel emotion and we need to move away from this idea that it makes you less of a man. Unfortunately I think unless we start dealing with this crisis as a society it is just going to get worse. There is a reason why male suicide is as high as it is at the moment.
Sara is trying to explain a key source of the problem and Joy has no interest in understanding it. She has her 'old lady opinion' made up on the matter and young men just need to behave the way Joy Behar believes they should behave. Good luck with that approach, Joy.
Joy thought that Sara was trying to excuse tate from his transgressions. In reality, Sara was just pointing out the truth, and that does not excuse tate from his actions at all. It's just the reasons for his behavior and his toxic mindset. This is the only part that Sara didn't say that Joy needed to hear to fully understand. Also, some people don't want to hear the back story because they don't want to start feeling sympathy and they want to keep being angry. This is toxic also, but I don't know if that was Joy's problem.
you can be a fan of tate or not, or perhaps you might see value in some of his messaging and strongly disagree with other aspects what we see here however, is 5 women dissecting andrew tate (his beliefs, values, mental state etc) without viewing anything beyond the edited montage that has been provided to them.
It's a scary time to be alive for sure, especially for young men being raised without a dad but I think if their mothers taught them to make good choices at an early age, that can carry them through difficult times. The choice in friends make a huge difference during the teen years as well so parents need to be mindful to teach their kids to choose good friends.

Parents spend way too little time with their kids because they are always working. That’s the root of the problem.
didnt whoopi recently sympathize with hitler?
If men feel left behind, they should take some responsibility!
It’s wild that a former contestant on Big Brother in the UK has become so well known worldwide.
It’s because he is hot
It has nothing to do with taking responsibility, and out of touch comments like this are exactly why people listen to Andrew Tate.

@@user-cg7wt3bx5y i would have thought that taking on responsibilities in your life has something to do with it.

I have mixed feelings about what Sara said. I think Sunny and Joy have a better take on it.
I’m curious why do you have mixed feelings? As someone studying to be a therapist what Sara said it is a 100 true. Mental health and maladictive behavior can be generational issues especially with narcissistic parents. Becoming a marriage and family therapy taught me and I see that when I practice therapy with real people.
@@CristianMetin it wasn’t entirely what she said. I disagree where she said “biological differences.” In my opinions there is no limit to what women are capable of. Neither then nor now.

Such an important topic!
@savelli.06 Who’s about to be killed ? WTF 😂
Joy missed the point. This isn't about race or politics. 🤦♀️

Whoopi I am loving the grey creeping into your locs! Yesssssssssssss

It's a scary time to be alive for sure, especially for young men being raised without a dad but I think if their mothers taught them to make good choices at an early age, that can carry them through difficult times.
