And tbh its not much useful because either ways you are gonna choose color family to be red/pink/brown/nude/burgundy, and maximum say orange variant, which you can definitely get in the market, in some brand or other for lower price. And say if you go for weird color shade(white,black,grey etc) just for experimenting purposes, it would be a waste becoz who wears weird shade on normal days???

See, Safiya Nygaard did good with this place; she actually got colors that are hard to find, instead of just picking something within the red/pink/range. Although "Dothraki Screamer" was in the red range, it was an extremely dark red, that would still be really hard to find anywhere else

Most of them probably don't know what they'll end up with, and has to buy the final product because they made it.
No. They said in the video they show you what the final product will look like before make your lipstick shade final. So if you are not happy with it, You can easily change it
Dude you know there’s something called ratios....maths is involved in this,you will get the same shade...and if you don’t you can do it again because you will have the sample to compare with it and prove your point. It’s not that deep.
I would create a deep violet which would not make my teeth look yellow: violets that are blue toned like that and not straight up BLUE are hard to come by, especially ones that work on golden olive skintones. Pretty specific, not basic stuff like what this girl just got lmao

Cant we just buy some nice quality lipsticks of two shades or more and mix them until we find the right shade by our selves instead of spending 150 bucks. Smh
- Simplicify Pink (pale pink matte)
- Sarah Vowell (warm red matte)
- Cristina (light nude color matte)

You can do this at home cheaper all u need is a lighter stick some different lipsticks and a spall container for it scrape the different lipsticks in then melt mixture together let dry boom done for like 10 to 35 pound depending on brands
This tea is so cold, it be iced
You could do this easily at home
What you need:
A few lipsticks shades of your choice from the dollar tree or where ever.
Vasaline or plain chapstick
Steps :
1. Melt your lipsticks
2. Melt your chapstick or vasaline
3. Mix till your desired shade
4. Freeze in your mold
5. Apply
And your Done!

Man i wish they had this lab for lipgloss. Im not a big lipstick wearer (ill wear it from time to time but i like more of that sheer kind or just full on matte) but I LOVE lipgloss.

Safiya Nygaard's video is a much better example of their service. She gets 2 more unique shades, and experimented with a third teal that she tried on. Basic red/pink/purple shades were shown here, but that's not the only options.

Isn't lipstick available in pretty much EVERY shade there is, what's the difference between what they made and a normal lipstick, any shade they make- that shade looks the same as any normal lipstick

So I went to the drug store got a bunch of cheap known brand lip sticks and then made my own U N I Q U E S H A D E and I didn't have to spend a lot.
I would love to make some FANCY AF lip colours at this shop like- Blue Green Violet etc......

I'd rather let them do all the hard work and I ll just buy what they create. Cos if they let me choose what to customize, 10 years later I will still be choosing what Color to combine. Just imagine permutations and combinations of 200 shades along with the finishes. It is a humongous task
