Did notice that in the first parts of their meeting, we really don't see Jamie's face. In this scene, Claire's face is lit properly but Jamie is kinda dark. Which is such a good detail cause it shows that Jamie is already seeing Claire in a special light even from tge start as compared to her who still didn't see Jamie as anything other than another stranger.
Well said! I noticed that the first time we see Jamie he's in the shadows/background, and its not until later that we fully see him. But I never thought of it like this!
Please make this reach to the producers of outlander After the final of outlander, it should be made 2 or 3 episodes with the theme "what if jamie could travel throught time" and bring jamie to claire's time for fun and see his reaction to the new world.

Well after watching the series, I couldn't help but reading the book and man did I love it the best 🔥✌ this scene toh I loved the book description n how Jamie was more than amused n attracted to Claire much well from the start 😍🔥
You can see him wobble in the beginning which means he is not touching her. The lighting doesn’t make this easy to see is space between them which is why she doesn’t fall over with him. Her dress however isn’t clean from the back so it is as if his dirty shift rubbed against her for a second.
i love how their first meeting is not claire as the damsel in the distress but the other way around
