I'm a 49 year old man, posting for the first time ever, with big healthy tears streaming down my face. Seven years ago I lost my first born son to cancer. He was only 8 years old. Beth, your song touched me, and helped me cry in a way that I very much needed. Thank you. ❤
We idolize the wealthy and famous but it's these people who spend their lives comforting and easing the suffering and souls of children daily that deserve our gratitude.
She's got a good voice - Guitar ... ? - But it's her job and the story in the song that make it good. Not all singers have the chance to explain what they see every day and why they write. There are many many better song writers and singers out there and even on this show who have been refused. I've been in and out of hospital for the past 5 years and seen the wonderful job of medical people and nurses saving lives and I've had families and people die beside me while in intensive care ..... These nurses deserve ALL the support they can get and if her safety valve to keepin a level head is writing songs then good on her. I know many who resort to using the meds available in the hospital to put up with, the hours, the grief and the difficulties.
I'm 66 years old, and 5 years ago tomorrow (18/09/2019 @ 2:18 PM) I lost my wife and best friend, and I'm here to tell this amazing young pediatric nurse that she did an old geriatric heart a lot of good today by me just hearing this song. It's not just for parents who lost their most precious child, but for ANYONE who would give anything to see their most loved one 1 more time, and I 100% agree, if I could have changed places with my wife, I would have, because she was so, SO, much better for this world than me! Thank you, Beth.
She blessed us all . I hope as time passes your grief will be replaced some by the warmth you will always carry that your wife gifted to you during your time together. Hugs hon.
She sounds like a folk singer from the past and she sings with pure heart and soul singing about her experiences. She's very special and a raw talent from heaven. Bravo 👏👏👏👏👏🌹✨🌹✨🌹✨🌹
Prayers for you, sir. I can not imagine the pain of losing a child, but losing two in that amount of time is inconceivable. May the Lord provide you peace and strength as you grieve for your precious children.
She is a pediatric nurse that all parents hope their child gets. You want a big, loving heart to care about your child as much as you do, instead of treating them like just another person passing through their halls.
As a retired health care professional, you just need to be dispassionate. Perhaps this is why Beth is finding a way out. I have come across colleagues who battled depression, and there are documented incidents of suicide from Drs and Nurses who failed to detach from the pain.
I was an ICU NURSE and helped people to find closure with their life. I worked for a time in Pediatric ICU, to help them out when they were short staffed, but it broke my heart. The worst for me was a 2 year old that I cared for in the burn unit with 60% of her body burned. I say kudos to nurses who can work with children. I cared for a lot of people in various ICUs, but had nightmares about the children! Maybe it was because I was a mother and thought of my children in that state? She's a wonderful person for being able to help and do that!
@@modireli1318I left beside in oncology care because of burn out. The amount I cared for patients & complete strangers exponentially outweighed the compassion or care I was ever reciprocated by my employer & those I interacted with. It’s an extremely lonely place when you can’t share stories or experiences because of HIPPA/ patient privacy, and you don’t have an outlet. There’s a sense of guilt, even when there is nothing you could have changed. I found sports which has helped to an extent, I am so happy this beautiful young lady found music.
You are aware that your pediatrict doctor sticks with you for years while you'll never have a regular pediatric nurse? You're talking about nurses like they're assigned or something, wrong.
I give credit to all my son's nurses. They didn't just take care of him when he was little, they took care of me, too. He's 37 now and between him and my youngest boy, they've made me a grandmother five times over. I'm home recuperating from a cancer scare (seems like they got it all, fingers crossed) and I couldn't have gotten through it with the beautiful nurses, and of course the surgeons and other doctors. But it was the nurses who calmed me, listened to me cry, and hugged me when I was scared. This was a beautiful song and I'm sure she's a wonderful nurse.
OMG, I was choked up through the whole song…😢 She literally is an Angel to do what she does for a living as a pediatric nurse, and on top of that she is a very talented song writer and singer!
I celebrate my father's birthday every year since he passed. You can have another tribute if you choose to. I listened to the Jackson Song a million times after m6 son passed ( he was a preemie) I'm very sorry for your loss 🙏
Actually, thank HER for this. SHE wrote the song. SHE played the song. SHE goes to work each day and heals sick children. If you wanna give god credit, then he gets credit for all the horrible atrocities that happen in the world too. If you wanna give god credit for anything, you can start with all the people who will starve to death today. Then you can also give him credit for all the people sold into slavery. ALL kinds of slavery
@bradleavitt6004 G9d teaches right from wrong in the Bible. It's humans who choose not to live up to HIS teachings. We are responsible for our choices and the pain we inflict on each other, NOT GOD.
@@Musicismylove888 The Bible also tells people to stone women to death who aren't virgins when they get married, if a man rapes a virgin he had to marry her and give her Dad money, and don't even get me started on the book of numbers. Also, feel free to explain childhood cancer
Oh Beth, what a loving soul. You are in the right place. I wish you can use your tallent and still be present where the children need you to bring joy and healing with music and love ❤️ Stay true to yourself the way you are beautiful.

That's the reason I would never Nurse in a children's hospital I could not deal with losing kids! Well done for your beautiful voice and gift to the kids❤
My eyes are full of tears. I worked Pediatrics for a very, very long while. There are memories that will persist until I do not. Every word brings me back .

Especially when it's a "quiet" performance like this. They did do that at the end performance in this video. Just freaking listen to it and scream later.
Beautiful song. I cried through it. Reminds me of when my daughter was facing an illness and I just wanted to take her illness so she could have a long life. Just beautiful.
I don't know how anybody listening to that song can hold it together. I'm always amazed when a singer can sing such a touching song and not break down. That was beautiful and of course, I'm crying. ❤️🙏❤️
On this 3rd anniversary of losing my mother in law, the most beautiful and loving person I've ever met, I came across this video. Thank you for sharing such a lovely song.
As great as her song writing, singing, and playing talents are, what Beth does every day touching hearts is her greatest talent. Write, yes, sing, yes. But above all, keep caring for children and their families.
I wish that nightbird was still alive as this young woman and nightbird would of made a grate pair in singing together because nightbird and this young woman have the same kind of heart and have a special kind of gift that god had given them to make everyone in this world feel happy and love when we are down in the dumps in life and hearing this music makes us all forget about the hardship in life and to feel gods love in this world
She's in a noble profession, for sure, but isn't truly selfless, as she earns a living from it. She isn't doing this work for nothing in return. Night Bird's experiences were far different. She learned thru the Pain and misery of her illness about life and when she finally threw away her cares about this world she touched it in a way that has inspired millions around the globe. Beth has a lot of those traits but learned a different way but each of them found a LOVE that surpasses all understanding which is the absolute KEY to reach a point of appreciation in other's lives. I surely do miss Night Bird and when she came on and said her chances of living were like 2% she still had hope. The hope faded with the curse of that disease and she finally succumbed to it, but, EVERYONE still remembers her. And so it goes for those that shine with a love Glow that is deeply instilled and wholly appreciated by anyone it touches. Bless them both. And Bless each and every one of YOU out there. Remember this life is soooo fleeting and tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone. Live today to it's fullest as best you can and remember Love extends beyond the trans-dimensional realms we end up in.
She elevated the whole nursing profession by one of the greatest amounts of any nurse .what an ambassador for nurses .wonderful emotional song and beautiful music
This is beautiful, reminds me of my youngest son who went to be with The LORD in January. He was born with a disability. To all mothers who lost your kids...We carry them in our hearts and they taught us to love beyond mistakes.❤❤❤
To be honest, being impatient, i fast forward to the song as I missed the backdrop. Upon hearing the comments, I went back and listened to the whole story. That being said, it makes me like her even more. I look forward to hearing her again. She's a wonderful human being!!

I lost my beautiful 19 year old daughter several years ago . She was too good for this world . I miss her every single day . Thank you for this beautiful song!
As a mom with a young adult son who has a potentially fatal illness along with autism that isolated him and causes him to have profound lonliness while fighting to stay healthy, this song expressed everything I have thought. The most touching lyrics ever.
Beth, never stop singing , playing your guitar, writing beautiful musics. God bless you , your musics and nursing career. As a retired nurse you have me in tears.
God gave you that voice to sing for your tiny patients to help comfort them during their time in your care. You're an amazing young woman with many talents. Shine on. And God Bless you 🙏 ❤️
I think she is really an Angel. I used to dance and one time I was given the opportunity to dance for a group of kids with downs syndrome. I have never felt such joy - their smiles were pure and their joy honest. I have never felt so uplifted or felt such brotherly love. Putting a smile on their faces has put a smile on mine every time I remember. I know her situation is a bit different, but I think she is being steered in a new direction with her nursing. Music helps to heal.
Your beautiful song touched my heart. Thank you. ❤ I lost my son A.J. last September. He was the light in our world. He bought so much love for everyone around him. He never asked for anything in return. My broken heart will never mend.
Makes me proud to be a nurse. During Covid, I was not part of the nursing profession that had patient contact. Sometimes that makes me feel less than those who did.

I lost my beautiful 19 year old daughter several years ago . She was too good for this world . I miss her every single day . Thank you for this beautiful song!

Wow! This girl no doubt ministers to children and to others through music. Beautiful! God bless her!
As a mom with a young adult son who has a potentially fatal illness along with autism that isolated him and causes him to have profound lonliness while fighting to stay healthy, this song expressed everything I have thought. The most touching lyrics ever.
I cried so easily w her songs. She is special. A very special song writer and singer. Amazing!

Shine on. And God Bless you 🙏 ❤️
She is an absolute angel. The world is so much better off because she in it. I would pay to see her in concert.

Oh Lord, 2 minutes in and I'm in tears. She's a lovely angel.
First time hearing this song, I'm in tears. I lost my 17 year old son in 2015. This song is beautiful.
I hear a Joni Mitchell-esque quality to her voice. What a gift!
What an Angel of God she is!! May God keep her safe always!
What a beautiful song that touches all hearts in a different way but all deep and moving. Thank you for sharing your talent.
This young woman is very very special.and her song is beautiful. she has a beautiful voice. Wow she is so good. thanks for posting this one!
Wow. Until I lost my son, even I didn't know how much I loved him. This song breaks my already shattered heart.
Oh Im so sorry for your loss 💔🙏🏻❤️
I think she is really an Angel. I used to dance and one time I was given the opportunity to dance for a group of kids with downs syndrome. I have never felt such joy - their smiles were pure and their joy honest. I have never felt so uplifted or felt such brotherly love. Putting a smile on their faces has put a smile on mine every time I remember. I know her situation is a bit different, but I think she is being steered in a new direction with her nursing. Music helps to heal.
I’m bawling here, not just her incredible voice and song, but she as a woman is a beautiful soul in every aspect ❤🙏🏻⭐️
OMG…the words in this song really brought tears to me…she’s brilliant and beautiful voice.❤
Her voice just is so clear and beautiful. It’s emotionally raw and so clear. ❤ making me tear up. Touched my heart. Keep going Beth!
