I would like to say, that a "the documentary on which you react", makes no mention of the human losses in the battles of 14-16-17-18. if there are no numbers it is NOT a documentary.
Just a few figures 1,327,000 million soldiers who died for France, or 27% of the 18-27 year olds of the French population. (some historians put forward the figure of 2,000,000 million soldiers killed (war injuries leading to death after 1918)
300,000 civilians killed. 4,266,000 wounded soldiers.
    (German soldiers 2,037,000 soldiers dead).
if we want to make the history of the evolution of an army, we must give these losses but also these victories, otherwise how to understand?
on August 22, 1914, 27,000 French soldiers lost their lives in a single day. it would have taken him two seconds to say it when he talks about 1914 (but hey, that would have made the French brave in battle) that's why there are no numbers.
the french in the 80s really liked the usa and the UK, they were the heroes of 1945. But because of all this french bashing, it is more and more common to see the younger generation side with the russians in the comments, young people are no longer dreaming of america and many want to leave nato. I don't think anyone realizes the destructive effect of Franco-American friendship.
and i think it can never be fixed

French bashing was not only about France, it was also about every french speaking countires or region. As a Quebecois, i side with my french friends, we got also separated from the world like the french.

This is a special from The Great War, which was a TH-cam documentary series that did an episode a week of the events of the First World War each week from beginning to end in "real time" (+100 years). They absolutely did discuss the great casualties suffered by all sides on every front.

I understand what you mean, but he is only reacting to a video he is not the author. and in addition he says that the French army is undervalued by English speakers.
