BuildN Stuff not really, unless you want total original. there is a company right now that makes all steel bodies from Henry Fords original molds. starts at around 20k if I remember correctly. you can get a complete roller set up
David Cruz not many people restore a 32 anymore. they aren't worth it. resale for an original car is half what a hotrod is. even these ratrods Matt build are bringing more then originals. I'm not one to tear up an original car, I would like a complete car to remain that way, but really money talks

He puts a lot of time and thought into making nice, traditional HOT rods. I saw his coupe in person a couple weeks ago, it is very well executed and has no parts that seem out of place or unnecessary, there is nothing rat about what he does.
Honestly much better than seeing her rot away in a swampy back lot of a wrecking yard. I was sad too when he started cutting, but at least the good parts are salvaged.

I rescued a 1934 Ford P/U out from a gully in Montana. It was in much better shape than this one and is now a finished chopped, channeled, stretched all Ford Hot Rod. Nice video! Thanks.
I had a '33 Ford BB that was much more complete and sound than your '32. It had a factory V8 which everyone wanted to buy from me as true and correct '33 Flatheads are rare. (V8 trucks were an un advertised option) I wanted to restore the truck as it was built so wouldn't sell. That truck was one of the most fun vehicles I have every owned. My kids learned to drive on it, I told them if they could drive it with its 5spd non-synchro trans, no power steering and mechanical brakes they would be able to drive anything.
I also have a 33 BB 157" truck. The original V8 engine had a bad #3 rod. Now has a 1952/3 V8 engine in it. Was a grain truck from Great Falls MT. GVW 14.000 lbs..
What I always thought was cool is how with old truck rear axles, they would repurpose the axle tubes as jack stands. You see old time garage pictures of these at work holding up whatever. Don't toss those tubes away, more old gold.....
Check out the vid where they scored some engines recently,there are a few diff housing axle stands in the back ground. I've used them myself years ago .
I have a friend with one that he can’t hardly give away for years now. I have too much stuff and can’t keep everything and this frame less than desirable for the work involved to disassemble and save it.
Problem is the frame is the last thing to rot out, so no one with the rest of the truck is really lacking a frame unless its been crashed or something.

The grill ranks the best for cool ads wall hanger stuff. However I like the 4 banger B motor. I've seen a lot of hopped up original 4 cylinders at car shows. They aren't super fast but I go fast all week in my f250 working. Nice video. Thanks ITG
Here is some rigging etiquette. When using a nylon strap never basket the strap alway choke it and you could have possibly used a second one as well. It will save on back stain and the item you're lifting won't slip out of a choked strap but most definitely will if you use the strap as a. Basket. Like in 7:28.
I'd have to agree with you that the firewall is the best part. I'd also be after that front spreader bar. I think the BBs had a different steering wheel and gear box though.
Nice work saving that Cowl & Motor/Trans Matt, I was hoping you would the underside of that fuel tank didn't look so bad for a 32considering how HEAVY built those trucks where back in the day, 3/4 - 1 ton is underestimating it, More like 3-4 TON LOL Wish I could save that IH COE... Man I want one so bad.
The grill and the cowl those two thing's everyone that is building a rust rod they are always looking for. I saw this video where this guy made his own 33 radiator grill shrerowd for his rat rod Ford truck
Did you save the drive shaft, I know the drive shaft is inclosed. That shaft makes great spud bars or pry bar's keep that in mind that shaft should be inch and 1/4 thick or inch and a half.
The dash is a biggy and of course the steering box if it can be salvaged. That is the most but that firewall has nickels and dime written all over it... that said, the back window could be a pattern for some old glass from a different make but the back window is there and still one piece, the glass with the hole in it could be someone's dream of a bonnie and clyde car theme And the engine could be a test for soaking metal in vinegar. Check out videos where they soaked car parts in vinegar and it was bare metal. I sen the broken spring pack but the rear axle if soaked in a bathtub one end at a time might surprise everyone Although the bearings might be gone but who know being out of sight and having grease at one time could be surprising... I would like to see a video of that done real. I always see the carburetors done like that and thy come out with a blast of air and the kit goes in to run like new. Now we both know better than that but lets find out how serious a rust it will remove. Just get a 55 gallon barrel as a ad for heinz or some other company that might sponsor this GOOD LUCK

Hey Matt. Memory may be wrong, but check that truck's rearend. Is that the rear, that one half of the rear, is used for quick change ... can't remember which bell ... or if that's the year range for the big truck rear to be used anyway. Just look. You'll see it right away, if I'm right ... or wrong. :) Take care, bud'.
Not gonna say the firewall is mint, but compared to the rest of the truck, it's surprisingly good. BTW I have seen rat rod idiots using wheels off BB trucks, so you could probably get a few bucks for them, good or not.
We have a bb with the long stepside bed like the Waltons 📺 show used. We have another with no bed. Ours trucks are in great shape compared to this. Good luck.
I had a model 32b just a bit better than this cab. my doors were 1/2 gone on the bottom I remade the whole bottom inside and outside about 5 inches up both sides. channeled it down about 5 inches with a 1 1/2 raked floor. Boy did it have a cool mean stance Big block gm 454 and old school powerglide with a shift kit. ford 9 inch 4 bar coil overs rear, reversed eye front leaf. the best thing about b32s and are the full steel roof/visor everybody chops the top I like the head room ! and the way i did this You needed every bit very little floor space with the trans. tunnel and seat bottom was only about 5 inch off the floor. Maybe If I can find a few snapshots I will send them Your way just for kicks Its been about 26 years ago on the build. Keep Rodding Nice shop!!!
I need the cylinder head off of that B engine if you want to sell it? Mine has about 25 pins in it and isn't long for this world. B heads have a cracking problem.

Those BB wheels have some value, if usable. If not usable for tires, they make a nice air hose or extension cord hanger

This is a model BB, several years newer then the model TT (1 ton) and model T pickup. Nothing in common except who built them.

RLECOMPTENTERP.84 Works really well. i put salt in. Citric acid works too. But not good on brake parts. They can fracture.

Personally, I would NOT have cut that frame like that but it's his truck. To me what was done made it better to have just left it alone or crushed it.
