- Vehicles are an essential part of modern life… giving us the ability to travel from place to place in comfort, and to cover distances in a much quicker time than would otherwise be possible. Designers focus mostly on the practicality of their creations, with the overall aesthetics often simply an afterthought. While some may look incredible, there are just as many that don't, and leave your eyes wondering how something so hideous could have ever been built. It's time to enter the dark world of creative mishaps, as we look at the 15 ugliest vehicle designs.

The beluga is actually an Engineering masterpiece!
It's insane that the Beluga can handle that much cargo with just two engines.
The engines just have to propel the whole thing, and when it gets up to speed the workload is relatively low, the giant wings do the rest in terms of load. Still amazing though.
Rolls Royce is not messing around.

Like it has already been said, Beauty is definitely in the eyes of the Beholder, because I think the Victory Vision Motorcycle is a beautiful work of art, and not ugly in the remotest interpretation of the notion. Some people have taste, other have taste only in their mouths.
True. The Vision actually looks pretty good in my book as well.
I was going to post effectively the same thing. I think that Victory bike is GORGEOUS!! The narrator even admits it. "The biggest surprise of all is that that company turned out to be right in ways and the vision actually sold rather well." All right, so. . . popular opinion has spoken. So from where is this guy getting his "ugly motorcycle" data?
@@johnarmenta2199 I bought a Vision 2 years ago and find I can stretch out my 6' 7" body on the bike. Anti-lock brakes, ample storage, power adjustable windshield height and digital cruise control. The engine is so reliable they didn't bother making extras for warranty replacement !
Yes, specially when the dominant fashion is too dominant...Some people want originality, cute style, hippy style, old style, fantasy style, minimalistic style, etc. I would put some supercars/hypercars on this top 😁.
-The beluga (a300 Airbus) airplane reminds me of Megamind 😂.
-The Gtp car isn't ugly, it's normal, and I've seen uglier supecars/hypercars.
-The Yamaha motobike is interesting.
-The h-21 helicopter is weird, not ugly, just weird 😂.
-The chevrolet SRR car is beautiful, I think it's more beautiful than most cars on the market (supercars and hypercars included).
-Sin S1 is weird..and, in my opinion, ugly.
-The titan ship is...just a "professional ship", I don't expect this type of ship to be aesthetic, I wouldn't put in on this top.
-Nissan S Cargo is cute.
-Victory Vision motorbike is beautiful, Its "head" seems to be an alien head 😂
-X-32 airplane is normal.
-Aztec car is normal.
-Ka26 helicopter is beautiful, normal, a little bit weird, but mainly normal.
-Guilty yatch is cool. Most yatch are the same, too similar, too boring. I wouldn't put It on this top.
-Multipla car is beautiful. I wouldn't put It on this top.
-Cube car is cute. I wouldn't put It on this top.

I personally find the electric motorcycle and the S-cargo adorable.
And my uncle has a Victory Vision. Supposedly it's incredibly comfortable to ride. Function over form, I suppose?
I think it's certainly on the right track when it comes to design, it just needs a few more refinements to create a fully realized vision.
The Nissan Juke should really be on this list instead of the Cube.

@@Colorado_Native Convertible SUVs/crossovers are probably the hardest cars to make visually appealing. Even the Range Rover and Lamborghini ones look weird with the tops up.

@@VGentertainmentTV98 Honestly, I used to dislike the Juke, but I eventually started to like its funky styling. The Juke-R looks pretty crazy and I've seen some nice modified ones. I still think crossovers/SUVs with cloth tops are pretty awkward looking, though.

Oh, no....that thing looks terrible.
The SSR failed not because of the looks. It was the huge price tag, middling performance and complete lack of rigidity. No matter what it looks like it was a poor car for an insane price.
You are propably right. It actually doesnt even look that bad... but if practicality is next to none, performance equals bit better family cars and vans - cheap price would have been the only good excuse to buy this just for the looks and exhaust sounds.

Ive seen one dressed up as an ice-cream van in pink and white and its not bad at all
Everione has diferent opnions,like i think LTG from world of tanks is nice,and its a good example of functionable over desing.
The sin S1 is eye catching, it just isn't as expensive as other ugly super cars like the apollo IE.

I know right
I have heard of something being "ugly as sin", and now I know what that really means. That Sin car is the only vehicle I know of that looks as if it has been wrecked when it is new.
They are wrong about the SSR. I love it. It has a retro looks like the PT Cruiser. I have a couple in my collection.
SSR is a very cool retro design, they are complete wrong!

Same as the DreamLifter. They're unique, that is all. In fact their designs make them kinda cuter
I enjoy looking at all these "strange" vehicles. All the cookie cutter cars on the road these days is incredibly boring so why not drive something that is a little strange.
For the sake of your neighbors please don't own some of these :) There is "quirky" and then there is cruel
There's a difference between strange and hideous. I wouldn't want to drive a thing that encourages teenagers to throw eggs at it.

The Sin S1 is the only vehicle on this TOP that I think is ugly. Of course, the beauty is on the eye of the beholder.
I respect your opinion but it's the ugliest, most non functional looking sports car ever made. Looks like a cheap unprofessional fiberglass design, without any solid performance engineering behind it.
I'd rather see these designs than the modern cookie-cutter crap today. None of these looked bad enough to be in a video with the title this one has.

15:38 The pattern indeed seems to pay homage to the old war ships camouflage know as dazzle camouflage. It was to fool submarines from seeing the the actual shape and trajectory of the ship so aiming torpedos would be more difficult for them. The actual effectiveness of this paint scheme however was far from perfect.
The Nissan S-Cargo is adorable, no way is it ugly
Thank you for not forgetting the Nissan Cube. I find the Land Rover Discovery utterly ugly from the rear for its off-center license plate.

An obvious miss is the SsangYong Rodius, one of the worst looking cars of all time.
The Nissan Cube only worked in the Japanese, UK and other right hand drive markets due to it's non symmetrical body shape. Left hand drive everything opened the wrong way.
In case you didn't notice in the video, the overseas versions mirrored everything, as they generally do.
It was the same difference on both sides of the pond, equally hideous.
I like the ssr and some of the other vehicles that a lot of people think are strange
I have to disagree about the Ramform Titan (the ship). It is awesome! Also functional for the purpose. Would also make an excellent science research vessel like oceanography or ocean zoology, environmental science, etc.
Yes, it's a professional ship, they don't need to be a piece of art (some of them are beautiful though).
Plus I thinks it looks kinda funny, not ugly!

The Multipla had to be on this list. One reviewer (probably Top Gear) said the top and the bottom were designed by two different people who never met each other

I like the styling of the SSR.
Watching this video, I was actually anticipating if the Fiat Multipla and Nassan Cube would make the list! Glad to see them make the top 2!

Victory Vision is a beautiful look at what a high end tour bike streamlined and with that independent custom biker build look.
Mine still draws more the attention than any flashy sport car. 🙂
And it beats any of its class in hanlding and comfort.

My humble suggestion: the godawful second-generation of Cadillac Seville. An abomination. And, I always thought M/Y A, designed by Philippe Stark, was regrettable.

You said the car should reflect its owner. Well the Cube was a Quirky look, IIRC, aimed at a young audience. Not really ugly (I've seen a few up close.), making a statement that the owner is not Same-o Same-o

I’d say “Ugly” is way too harsh of a word, I’d say weird and quirky.
I liked the yacht, and the Victory motorcycle. The motorcycle sold well, so you really can’t call it ugly if the masses love it. The electric motorcycle was interesting, but it looks like someone stuck a small aircraft hanger on top of it, LOLOLOL
I own a Vision and would never sell it, but I don't think the masses really loved it. That's why Victory made the Cross Country and such that were more "normal" bikes in the Electra Glide style that sold better than the Vision. The design of the Vision remembers me of the DS, which were also very much hated and loved. You either love it or hate it because it goes out of the usual standards. But it's unique. And, if you look at it from above... 🙂

Back in around 2000 my parents bought a new car and as we were standing there waiting for the car to be readied my dad and I were looking at the new pontiac Aztec when a salesman comes up and says…ain’t it a beauty. My dads face looked like someone farted and he says to the salesman……that’s the ugliest vehicle I’ve ever seen, whoever designed it must have been freebasing cocaine. I laughed so hard and the salesman just looked really disappointed and walked away 🤣
That 1/2 of the stuff is in that video shows that we need a lot more quirky designed stuff out there and we should get rid of a lot of the grey junk we all have!

The AMC Pacer was also asymmetric. Curbside door was larger than drivers side door.
The Sin S1 does not look like melted plastic. It looks like molded plastic. Its a cool damn car. it resembles a Star Wars vehicle. In fact a lot of them have that funky clunky sci fi vibe.
Especially the cool small helicopter. The Sin S1 looks like the mini sub the Jedi rode in under the Gundan sea. Cut with this Debby Down crap. This should be fun, not so negative and morose. The includes the Eor droopy droning of the narrator

The best SuperCar I have ever had the privilege of driving, & I know a lot of people with far more money than sense that allow me to borrow any time I please, is the Gumpert Apollo, it may be a BuckuglyFastard but what a hell of a car, you are automatically in tune with it, the Feedback is Outstanding & it handles beautifully.

The Victory bikes are big like that because they are touring bikes.....Honda Goldwing bikes are the same and they look close enough that a non rider wouldn't be able to tell you the difference
First time I saw the Multipla I thought it looked like it had driven under the back of a truck.

As a PT Cruiser driver I am extremely offended that my car was not on this list.
A competitor to the Nissan Cube was the Scion xB - where the 'B' might as well have stood for "box", as it was even boxier than the Cube.

The boat design makes sense for its purpose, you’re not gonna move any faster in a 100 ton boat, so shaping it to fit wider objects works for its purpose.

The SSR has sort of cult following now. The F18 Super Hornet came long before the F32.
