Hello ladies! For some reason the comments were turned off when the video first came out. They're on now. Sorry about that. I always love hearing from you ladies. Thanks so much for watching. Have a great day!
..I enjoy your Videos,Miss Kay.. and I agree with T shirts ( well made, but not Expensive. Body skimming is the accurate term. ..I also like " heavier Tank Tops "than a Summer weight fabric. I adore Summer Sweaters, they also work for Autumn . 🍂 I am a " Button Down " type if girl, lol. I was surprised to see you had styled your hair differently..... I am not attempting to be ' critical '....just my thoughts... I think your previous style was more youthful ( and not because one is trying to " not be in our Second Half of Life "( ... but because it had a certain ' shape and movement "... and it looked so lovely on you. So please don't be offended, ..I am just giving my thoughts /Feedback. I once had my hairdresser tell me- I'd been going to her for many years, 10- 12 years- and she said......( i was about 45 ,at the time ) .. " Young hair has shape and movement.... Even if you're over 40 or 50 or 60, you want your hair to have shape and movement.... And she said the way to do that is either to wear it past shoulder length or at/ close to shoulder length and have a certain style to it, So it has that shape and movement.." and I never forgot that. 🙂😊
New follower here.... I've recently retired and with it, purged most of my work clothes. Now looking for new ideas and comfy clothes. Thanks for your videos.
Since I am 76, I am so thankful to have someone who caters to the more mature woman. I have a khaki jacket in a darker green that I love, I even wear it in the winter. I have tried the wider leg pants but haven’t purchased any yet, but I will keep trying. Love your fall ideas. Have a blessed fall and winter, Kay! 😊❤
Hi Kay, I am a huge Patricia Nash fan and have many of her purses, belts, scarves, and jewelry. She is an American designer who studies European design and uses Italian leather in her products. Everything is a class act from her.
Loved this and saved it for reference. So glad to see some outfits included red shoes. Seems most style the red shoes with jeans but I feel they could be worn with the linen pants. I am 71 and appreciate the styles for casual wear.
I love the one color look-black on black or navy on navy is my favorite way to look thinner and not so busty and thick in the middle. I'm retired and at home now. I spend half of my day on the floor with my rescue dog or in the open field in my Cartharts and hiking boots! I love the puffy vests because I have NEVER found a blazer that fit my body type.
Kay, have you ever done a video on how to hang sweaters or hang your clothes without getting that shoulder bump that we can often get with the hanger? I would really love to see that… I kind of go back-and-forth on how to store my sweaters, and I end up folding them, but then that creates a lot of creasing as well!that would be incredible, also maybe types of hangers you like to use!🎉
Hi, it is important to get the right size hangers. Padded silk are best. I dry my silk and linen shirts flat. Then after ironing I hang them - no problems. I also dry sweaters flat. Only hang very lightweight ones. Heavy ones should always be folded or rolled
@@kathybriscoe1474 I hang all of mine knit jackets inside out. Sweaters get folded to keep their shape, but knit jackets and cardigans, knit dresses... inside out always works!
Looks like a lot of viewers have contributed great tips. I don’t know that I have great info to share. I fold mine and stack them on a shelf in my closet.
We live in Central California where the summer temps are regularly well over 100 (109 today). I’ve come to love light-weight, wide-leg jeans because they’re so much cooler than anything that fits close.
I'm just north of Sacramento and totally agree. I love wide leg crops. I'm still working on finding a full length wide leg option, but crops work almost year round here and part of the fun is the shopping!
Hello Kay. Our fall temperatures in Scottsdale, AZ typically don't start until mid October, but it is always helpful to get the ideas for fall wardrobe staples flowing. Thanks for your inspiration. Love the print blouse you are wearing.
Love your cute new haircut!! Thank you for these great on trend looks! I bought a wide leg ankle pant for the first time this Summer from Chico’s and people loved them! I was so shocked as being a petite person, I never dreamed they would look good on me. I’m looking forward to trying some of these new looks for fall. I also saw a short trench jacket in a magazine recently! So fun!!
Yes! Cropped length jackets of all kinds are trending. Great year to be petite! I think a lot of women are surprised that ankle or cropped length jeans look good on them because they’ve heard that longer pants make their legs look longer. But actually showing some ankle can make your legs look even longer, especially with the right top and shoes.
Each season I make sure I pay attention to Kay’s advice on what is trending and has some staying power. I’m not one to buy much - I enjoy a long-term relationship with most of my clothes 😂 but when I do buy or make something new I want to make sure it will look current going forward . Loved the outfits and early fall inspiration!
Like the selection of pants and jeans. Good ideas. I live in Texas so will wear majority of these clothing type thru November or later. Thanks for sharing!
I am never ready to buy for the next season when all the new clothes come out! So by the time I'm ready to buy for the season the pickings are slim! For me I wish they would wait a little longer to release the next seasons fashions! I guess I'll just always get the left overs!😆
A really helpful video, thank you. I thought you looked stunning in the blue trousers and simple camel coloured tank top. Please would you consider doing a video about how your style has changed over the last few years. I have been following you for a while now and have noticed that you are choosing more simple styles paired with 1 eye-catching item. I have been moving to dressing like this as I look to turn 60 soon and would love to hear your thought process to what attracts you when you are shopping.
I can’t wait until fall arrives. And I hope it’s sooner rather than later. I’m ready to start wearing some pants. And some sweaters or sweatshirts. I’ve started ordering clothes for fall. I’m about done with the summer heat this year. Of course, I know fall won’t be here for a few more months. But I’m ready.
These are great idea Kay, but it's hard to understand the brands you mention. Is there a place we can find some of the clothes shown on this video? Thanks!
thank you for your recommendations. do you have recommendations for shoes that look nice with some of the pants or the skirt you featured? I see you wearing sandals in a few of the pictures but i wouldn't wear sandals in the fall in Utah.
Loved just about every idea you came up with. Just one thought though. ( I’m British) we call pants trousers over here. Why are most of your trousers so short. Are you afraid they might get wet in the rain. The style makes legs look shorter and fatter. I just can’t comprehend why as a stylist you would choose to advise us to look stubby rather than elegant. I do hope you don’t think I’m being unkind but I look for ideas now I’m in my 70s to get good fashion tips.
I don't think you're being unkind, but I do think you are not current in your thinking. We've been wearing ankle length trousers for years now. They don't have to look stubby if styled correctly. I do think sometimes we have to let our eyes adjust to new silhouettes and lengths. I do indeed prefer ankle length pants in many instances, but not all.
I have a question…I have items in my wardrobe that are “classic” and have had them for years. However, in the last 5 years I have transitioned from coloring my hair(dark warmish brown) to gray. It’s all grown out now. But some of my colors that I could wear before, make me look very washed out. HOW would you go about beginning again with building a wardrobe that compliments my hair and without spending a ton of money. Like where do I begin?
I’d begin with the garments closest to your face. So maybe you have brown pants and you’re not ready or able to replace them yet with navy or grey. But you can top them with a trending blush pink top that you could wear for years. So decide on some colors you’d like to work toward adding and start with tops and dresses. Hope that helps. 🤗
I just tested it and it worked for me. Make sure you only use it at Patricia Nash Designs - go.shopmy.us/p-8122446 and make sure you use cap for the KAY. Also it may not work on discounted items or if they have another special going.
I love these outfit ideas but the army green jacket does not look good. It’s more of a dumpy look that doesn’t flatter you. Please don’t take offense. I’m sending my sister a link to your channel. I know she’ll love it.

What about ladies who cannot afford to put food on the table , how about doing video on how to up date their wardrobes from thrift stores and how to adapt clothes to bring them up to date. I get so concerned at the way influencers talk as if all people have unlimited funds. Please think about people less fortunate than ourselves!!! 🇬🇧✝️🙏🇬🇧 20:11
I heard that ! Dropped shoulders are a 'hate' for me because even though my shoulders are not 'sloping'/bad, I am also n e v e r wanting them to appear-sloped. ~ Maybe for uber-casual/at-home wear, but never for day to day or outwear, IMO.

I love the trends for 2024! My favorites are the cropped jackets, skirts, and classic colors and styles.
As usual, Kay, another AWESOME video! Thanks so much- - and it just goes to show that those classic, tried and true trends remain wardrobe staples!

I have heard it is good to hang your sweaters inside out on the hanger then the “bumps” will be on the inside.
Pinterest has lots of ideas for hanging clothes 😁

If you are looking for a travel wardrobe, avoid cotton sweaters. They are usually heavy and bulky.

Yeah, I think I got that wrong. It's KAY10 for 10% off. I apologize for that.
Thanks I’ll give it a try
Wide leg full length trousers look great on you, but wide leg jeans in ankle length shorten the body.

Wish Patricia Nash would make some bags with softer leather, her bags are too stiff for me.

I just have to ask, respectfully, why did you watch the video?
Khaki jacket has seams sooo off shoulder that I would look like a bottle with no structured help. Just sayin....
I heard that !
Dropped shoulders are a 'hate' for me because even though my shoulders are not 'sloping'/bad, I am also n e v e r wanting them to appear-sloped. ~ Maybe for uber-casual/at-home wear, but never for day to day or outwear, IMO.
Wide leg pants might be comfortable but they don’t look good on you/me makes you look heavy! Sorry!
