    Absolutely love the sound you got out of the black beauty. But the Craviotto? Money! DAYUM!

    man... they all sound incredible. would be the Craviotto for me, I think. can't go wrong with any. it's incredible how good of an engineer you are as well as being an amazing drummer/musician.

    The bottom mic and room mic make such a YUGE difference. THATS the sound I’m after.

    Love this video! I don't think enough drummers pay attention to how a snare sits in a mix. To me, I felt like the Black Beauty was a perfect mix of the Ash and the Acrolite. BB had both some depth and some attack, while keeping mellow and resonating just enough to fill the empty spaces in the song. 🤙🏼

    Acrolite for the win, IMO. Especially with less room mics. I liked the Gretsch and Craviotto too. BB sounded great but not for this song. Great video BTW!

    for my ears the Acrolite was the most suitable for this song and the Craviotto was similar but more body, more ooomf, but similar for me. I would be happy with either. Thank you, subscribed

    Bro...that Gretsch with a few moon gels or even (gasp) a hydraulic on the batter (don't knock it until you've tried it). Ultimate phatness.
    But of the four as presently configured, for MY money it's The Acro. Hands down. It just fits the "vibe". :D Sorry. Had to.

    The acro if you want the drums to lay back in the mix but I say the bb. It really drives the music

  • @jaymeramirez7435
    @jaymeramirez7435 ปีที่แล้ว

    I vote Black Beauty OR Craviatto. They are the most different from each other. The Ludwig has more overtones. Lots of personality. The Craviatto is the most “smooth”. Has that perfect digital punched in sound. 🤷🏿
    Love this channel.

    The "make" of the drum has F all to do with sound. How do you play drums but know nothing about Ludwig vs Gretsch?

    • @kylewmay
      @kylewmay  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We are allowed to drive cars without being mechanics. Surely I’m allowed to play drums and not know everything about them.
