I thought the video was fine the first time, but the fact that Danya went out of the way to not only apologize for something that wasn't even really a problem in the first place (at least for me) AND remake the video is just insane. This legend really deserves any successes that come their way and I hope that said successes come in great haste.
And on a video that will likely not be an all star in the algorithm. Most viewers of this vid will be people who like us, could care less about the audio of the first vid. Really gotta appreciate the effort for improving it just for us (and his own perfectionism).
Danya the type of guy who puts out an hour long video discussing chess endgames in-depth, FOR FREE, only to record it AGAIN FOR FREE because the audio was not up to his standard. You truly are a gift to all of us studying chess. Thank you for all your awesome work and for always going above and beyond. You are the best chess educator out there.
Naroditsky this is ridiculous, if I studied this for hours I would have never come up with the genius level ideas that you explained so simply in your video, you are the greatest chess teacher that has ever lived, bless what you do and I hope you keep doing it to inspire a whole generation to follow in your footsteps, if I taught chess my entire life I wouldn't be able to communicate half of what you put in this single video, I'm so glad this is free because you're inspiring a whole generation to take up this beautiful game and to get somewhere near your level of understanding which is crazy, I'm sure there's some children out there who will read this and thrash 50 year old Magnus when he gets old and I love that you're enabling this new generation to perform to the best of their ability, please keep doing this for as long as you can because you are my king
Danya is a true LEGEND. What more is there to say? EDIT: Okay, found something more to say lol. That last position is insanity, what a ridiculously epic solution!
Daniel is truly one of the GOATS of chess education. I for one am really looking forward to your future of chess commentating and hopefully, shoutcasting more live games League of Legends style. :)
You are a shining gem Mr. Naroditsky, You are the ideal teacher. Discipline, strength to invest the effort like you did in this video, and a beautiful heart to make us all happy and grateful to be in your presence. I have nothing but respect, and love for you Mr. Naroditsky. Thank you
I'm going to re-watch again and see how many of the moves I can remember. Honestly, I didn't notice any problems with the last video. Content is king! :)
Phenomenal job with this series, Danya! I rewatched all the videos and then went through the puzzles carefully. I noticed by the end that I am approaching endgame analysis differently than I was at the start 😊
I ALWAYS look forward to the videos and watch them all the way through. I thought the audio quality was a nostalgic throwback to the early 2000s, as you say.. you put in so much hard work and I watch them all on repeat! Thank you for your continual inspiration!
we DON'T deserve this from you danya. going out of your way to purchase temporary equipment just to remake a video we already appreciate, WE LOVE YOU DANYA YOU ARE THE BEST!!!
Finally! I’ve been watching this series but have waited to do the tests. I’m speed-running the whole endgame playlist all over again this weekend and will then knock out the test videos after the refresher. THANK YOU 🙏thank you thank you!
I can't thank you enough for these videos! I've learned so much thanks to you. I pause the video in every critical position and I try to find the right moves, and it's just unreal how much I'm improving thanks to how well you are able to explain these concepts, so thank you so much Daniel! A tiny small correction, though: when I was practicing the last position, I calculated a line that I thought that it was winning, but then in the video you said that the move that I had in mind was a premature pawn push, and I think that it isn't. On 46:29 you mention that pushing the d pawn is premature b/c the black king can reach the pawn via f7, but if after black plays Kf7, if white plays f5, then white is still winning... I mean, for sure, your line is probably the easiest, but for some reason I calculated the d6-f5 line and I thought that it was super cool 🙂. Once again, thank you so much for being so incredibly awesome!
Danya, you are the best. I thank you so much for taking the time not only to do this once but twice. My favorite Chess player, commentator, teacher, streamer and impersonator. You’re the man. 🙏
Danya is someone special of the few in the this world that gives his heart to this game and freely gives his knowledge and I’m surprised that he doesn’t have millions of subscribers comparing to some clowns out there
danya is such a genuine educator. spending all that effort on remaking an hour long video for basically no gain to himself, solely so that the people watching have a more quality product
You're an amazing content creator. Remaking this video was entirely unnecessary but the effort you put for your audience is very admirable. Thanks for the videos!
Hi Danya! Seeing how much contribution and dedication you have been offering to the chess community, you inspired me to do the same, and by that I mean I want to help you reach a wider audience by translating your contents but I don’t know how to reach you so I left a comment here. There used to be a community captions feature but it has been removed since 2020 and got replaced with a subpar auto-translate feature, so I’m not sure how it works now, but I’ll look into it. My native tongue is Vietnamese so that’s gonna be my main target language, however, I also know enough to proof-read French and Mandarin for grammatical errors. If you’re interested, let me know. It will be my pleasure.
Love this approach for improving the understanding of chess. Love your video and these videos are quite inspiring and have so much to learn from. Keep making such videos ❤️
These videos create a paradox. On one hand I hope my opponents don't watch because that gives me an advantage. On the other hand I want to see this channel succeed so I hope it gets the millions of views that it deserves.
Danya, thanks so so much!! I'm waiting to watch this video till I have watched again the whole endgame series so that I'm able to at least be in a better shape to solve some of the puzzles... this will take between 2-3 days and a week but I'll get here!! Again thanks so much for this series... this is indeed gonna be one of chess endgames classics, you are becoming a legend indeed _/\_ THANKS
I1ve noticed that in many pawn endgame puzzles using intuition is what makes you loose. Only pure calculation work ,what is a bit discouraging because the lines tend to be too long to calculate. On the other hand, it makes me relax about these endings.
Watching your content is always a pleasure regardless of the quality, both you and your videos are incredible. Thank you for the additional effort you always put into these.
Thank you so much for your effort and really high quality content, Daniel! Watching a video of yours is inspiration everytime and motivation to keep on improving even after a time with lack of success. p.s: I am happy that I managed to conclude that the King move for White in 50.29 would not work if the pawns were on the b file instead.
Fucking love your content Mr. Narodistky. I try to watch as much as I can whenever possible and they're truly a treat for me on mornings before either work or school. Hopefully you stay strong and healthy, of course best wishes for longevity and the share of love for chess among the community here to be everlasting. It's lovely here, much love to you all. ❤️
Danya, thanks for the video! Super informative and instructive! I wanted to add, I think, a necessary line to the third puzzle that makes it more amazing and even better shows the power of corresponding squares. I actually thought it would be a main line:) In 35:21 black went Kd5 followed by K:f3 Ke5 and maneuver Kf2-e1-d2-d3 with a win for white. Instead of Kd5 black could go Kc4 K:f3 Kd3. Now on Kf2 Kc4 Ke2 Kc3 and it seems like a deadlock for white. D3-f3, c4-f2 and c3-e2 are pairs of corresponding squares. So after Kd3 white follow with Kf2 Kc4 Kg2! Kc3 Kg3! And black are in zugzwang! For example, Kc4 Kf2 and white wins Please do not rerecord the whole video for this. This one was good enough:)
Great vid, learned about shouldering , control of square , not exhausting resources . I also lowkey feel as though the puzzles on the app got harder to solve.
35:13 Surely the simple pawn push e4 would be a faster win than Ke4 after black's move Kd2? Why waste time winning unnecessary pawns, as per Danya's own rule
Could you maybe make a video on how to/how do you study openings and lines so self-taught(Daniel-taught) players could get a better idea on the subject?
In the first puzzle after g4, you assume g5 allowing for the skewers after the pawn race. If black plays h5 instead, you lock with g5 and then after simultaneous promotion it seems to be a draw
if black plays h5 instead, then it's easier. The black king needs to go further away to capture the h4-pawn and can't return to f5 to attempt to stop white's e-pawn. So, for example ... h5 g5 Kf4 Kxd4 Kg4 e5 Kxh4 (or Kf5 Kc5 Kxe5 Kxc6 to win on the queenside) e6 Kg3 e7 h4 e8Q h3 and the pawn is easily stopped.
@@shnippy7223 thanks for the explanation, that makes perfect sense. I wasn't thinking about pushing e5 and forcing the King into a decision. I appreciate you taking the time to go through those lines.
Bro do not insult yourself, you are not competing with house of the dragon, your content is leagues ahead of that ahahaha. Thank you for the lesson I’ll be working through it

You shouldn't feel bad about the audio from last time, certainly not necessary for you to take extra time out of your day to remake the video. At the end of the day if you think that you had to do this, then that's great, thanks. So many people in here were acting like this was some high prodution show and they were the sound engineers.

What was «wrong» with the first video? Guess I missed the drama😂
@@Glendragon the audio was not as good as it was normally, I thought it was fine but Danya went above and beyond to make a remake.
