NEVER EVER remove a drain plug without removing the fill plug first!!! If the fill plug is stripped or seized, you will not be able to refill... This goes for Diffs, Transfer case and Transmission.
I also performed these works in my car and also changed the liquid in the automatic box in May 2019. My stallion smiles contentedly. Now ordered the crankshaft sensor, I will change. Then again I will go to the forest and pull another bus out of the swamp.
I've been watching all your videos for some time, so helpful and now doing most of the maintanance work on my Diesel RR. Keep the videos coming as great to watch and learn.
I always put Lucas transfix in the diffs and trans. Makes a big difference and really improves gear changes on the auto. Note* I have no affiliation to Lucas but it works for me 😁
I'm going to go see a 2000 4.6 HSE V8 Petrol this week for possible purchase here in USA, Do you have any tips of what to look out for that can be expensive to repair? I know head gasket replacement is expensive but are there other things to look out for? Thank you. I really enjoy your videos.
@@WorkOnP38 picked one up yesterday, I think I've found a good one, amongst the many poor examples I have looked at. Keep the videos coming very informative. 👍
,Hi. Great videos. Very well presented and explained. I have a discovery 2 , 2003, SE7 .with 50 K miles. It’s a 4.9 Petrol. I keep it in Portugal and only use it 4/5 times a year ,for the last ten years. I’ve had the engine oil changed and this year I found the gears changing a little rough when first started. That’s why I found your channel. I’ve now decided to change all diff oils, gearbox fluid and transfer box fluid. I ve also had the brake lines flushed two years ago but I still find the brakes very hard . Ie slow to stop the Jeep. Can you suggest anything about the brakes and anything else I should be doing. Cheers for your help and keep up the videos. Pat.
I changed the oil like you on my RR but it went through the shaft seals! put new oil seals but the oil goes away! please tell me how to solve the problem.
Дед Мороз I’m guessing either the seals was incorrectly seated, or your shafts are too low and should be adjusted upwards. It could also be a clogged diff-breather, so that the pressure build up.
Alright mate. When changing the transfer case oil do you still use the auto transmission fluid if it's a Manual. I'm really struggling finding info in the Manual boxes
Hi Collin. I wouldn't have the expertise to recommend one brand over another. Sorry. I'm not sure if 80W-90 would hurt. I would imagine not, but I'd stick with the manufacturer recommendations if you can. Thanks for watching!

Also: the oil flows out much easier and straighter (without glugging) if air can enter from the fill hole instead of from the drain.
Man thank you so much I have learned a lot from you. On my Range Rover I did replaced my fuel pump following all your tricks thanks.
Great work, Lesly. Glad my videos could be of help. Thanks for watching!

Good luck, and thanks for watching! :)
hi! forgive my boldness but you must first loosen the fill plug! what if you spilled the oil and that cork didn't come off?)))
Agree :)
That's a good tip. Thanks for watching!

когда сливаешь масло нужно сначала открутить заливную пробку, затем сливную, тогда масло будет сливаться ровной струёй.
Right now the only problem that I have its my idle the RPM its very high. Let me what I have to do ?
how can I test the differential and test the universal joint?

do you use dexron 3 oil for the reducer?
